I use this product after using my facial cleanser. It is 100% oil free and goes on super smooth! The little jar will last you a long time too, you do not have to use a lot of the product. By far my favorite moisturizer I have ever used! :)

One of the best moisturizers I have used. I have combination skin and my skin is definitely looking better when I use this. The price isn't the cheapest, but there are other moisturizers on the market way more expensive and you get a moisturizer that actually does its job.

I have super dry skin in winter along with oily. It's constantly switching. I HATE any moisturizer that feels heavy/greasy, this is soooo the opposite. It feels like heaven when putting on. Please please please take my word! If you have unbearably dry skin I would recommend the moisture intense version.

I received this item as a free sample and so far I am loving it. I also recently bought the Dramatically Moisturizing lotion. I have been putting this serum on first and then my lotion. Is that ok? I haven't broken out or anything and seems to be working great. I just don't know if there is a proper way to use it. And I also read I can use this alone ?

Hi! I am so glad you are loving this formula! It is a favorite of many! The best way to use it is after your Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. This application method will boost your skins hydration and natural moisture balance. If you choose to use it alone, you absolutely can, but you tend to use more product when used alone. Thank you for your question and happy new year!

I see on some product instructions to apply after Clinique's 3 step skin care system, does that mean to 1. clean, 2. exfoliate, 3. moisturize with a different moisturizer and then use Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief or can I use Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief as my 3rd step?

Hi! Yes, it is best to use after the steps you have outlined, as Moisture Surge is a booster moisturizer. The intention is to use this moisturizer as needed, when your skin needs an extra drink of hydration. If you use it as your daily moisturizer, please use it twice a day. Thank you for your question!

                    • Q:

This past winter, I gained dry spots on my face (that happens every year) but this year, they did not go away. I always had very oily skin but now I have severe dry spots around my nose area, smile lines area, and above my chin. You can visibly see my dry spots because they have turned into dark areas on my face. This is really new to me. My dry spots are usually gone by now (it's summer) but they are still on my face and none of my summer moisturizers are for dry skin. Will this moisturizing gel cater to both my extreme oily skin AND my extreme dry spots?

                        A:

It sounds as if you may have a need for additional exfoliation vs. a heavier moisturizer. Dryness is tightness you feel in your skin and a need for exfoliation can be flakiness that you can feel on your skin. If this is the case, the moisturizer is great for your skin, but I would also partner it with an exfoliating product such as Clinique Clarifying Lotion, 7 Day Scrub Cream and Clinique SMART Custom Repair Serum. Clinique SMART Custom Repair Serum will also help to fade the dark spots that you mentioned.

This is a wonderful oil free multi purpose moisturizer. It has an addictive gel-cream texture that absorbs quickly and hydrates skin for 24 hours. It binds water to the skin and restores proper moisture balance in the skin. It also contains antioxidants that help to protect against the environment. It is for all skin types. Apply this morning and night after your Cliniqe 3 step skin care system.
