  • Cheeks – Blushed & Lit

A swirl of rosiness, a swoosh of radiance. Get cheeky in two simple steps.

    1. Blush the apples. Use your favorite blush – better yet, try a palette to customize a cheek color that’s truly your own. We love Urban Decay’s NAKED Flushed palette, an Allure Best of Beauty winner known for shades with featherlight texture.

    2. Brighten the high points. For highlighter, use MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish, a pretty pink that breaks into gold once you brush it on your skin.

  • Eyes – Hit the Metals

Metallics are having a moment. Especially coppers and golds.

Build your shine with a few key products.

    1. Start with a shimmery base. Apply the color almost up to the brow. You want something with just enough shine to set the scene. Try our little secret: Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Sunlight, a bit of liquid sunshine that’s typically mixed into your foundation.

Complexion drops on the eyelids? Yep. They’re made to bring a glow to your skin, PLUS the formula is longlasting – everything you want when you’re
    going metallic.

    2. Layer in the gold. Pump up the metals to the crease of your eyelids. NYX Professional Makeup Prismatic Eye Shadow in Liquid Gold is a powder formula that shines like a liquid. Use a crease brush, like IT Brushes for Ulta Airbrush Blending Crease Brush #105, to build a layer of the shadow. Two if you’re feeling extra.

    3. Lighten the upper lids. Get your eyes looking wide open and wonderful. Try a light shimmer shade (we used MAC’s “Dazzleshow”) right under the brows. No need to trace the entire length of your brows, just about a ½ inch side to side right under the arch.

    4. Build in a bright. Purple plays well with metallic. Brush a shimmery purple at the outer corners in a V shape – instant dimension. Our pick: NYX Professional Makeup Prismatic Eye Shadow in Punk Heart.

    5. Make it a wing thing. Using a black liquid liner, follow your upper lash line and wing out. We used Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen in Black.

Tip: Go chic, simple, and extra-thin here. For this look, you want the focus to be those glimmering metallics. Wing up to a super-fine point to define your eyes
    juuust right.

    6. Lash out – big time. Sweep on a volumizing formula to deepen the drama. Don’t miss: Ulta Beauty Collection Maximum Lashes Mascara Defining + Lengthening Mascara. Do your lower lashes, too! (Tilt the wand straight down for a precise application on those harder-to-reach lashes.)

    7. Define your waterline. Make your eyes pop. In one fluid motion, line your waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion (a luscious
    deep black).

    8. Extra credit: Add falsies! The party reeaaallly starts when you amp up your lashes. Make application easier by cutting the lash strips into thirds. Using a tweezers, place them right on the lash line. Between falsies and your real (super volumized) lashes, you’ll have a very lush look. We used Benefit Cosmetics Real False Lashes Debutante Lash.

  • Lips – Deep Berry Shine

‘Tis the season for cranberry kisses. A deep berry lip is a bold choice — and a beautiful complement to your shimmering eyes.

    1. Coat your whole pout. Our “it” lipstick is NARS Audacious Lipstick in Charlotte. Use a lip brush! Start at the center and brush out to your lip line. Use the edge of the brush to tackle your cupid’s bow for precision.

Why lip brushes? Better control and easier blendability. The result is a smoother finish!

    2. Lacquer on a shine. Bring the radiance of this whole look full circle. Use a metallic liquid formula on top. The perfect match: NYX Professional Makeup Liquid Suede Metallic Cream Lipstick in Modern Maven.

  • Hair – Joyful Curls

Pinned back and highlighted for a glam-girl twist.

“Perfect for parties, this look is pure holiday fun with just the right sophisticated touch.”

Keep your curls healthy at home using Redken Curvaceous Ringlet. Super easy to use right after your shower (apply to towel-dried hair) to get nice, controlled definition and to keep frizz away.

Lock in all that silky softness with Redken All Soft Argan 6 Oil. It’s so versatile: Spray on a generous amount before washing your hair, before blow-drying or even on dry hair to enhance your shine.
