  • Face – A Fresh Glow

A healthy glow is all about blush and highlighter. Blend the two, and
    you’re golden.

    1. Blush big. Using a fuller-than-full brush (we recommend IT Brushes for Ulta #211), circle blush on the apples of your cheeks. You can’t go wrong with NARS Blush in Orgasm, a cult favorite that looks amazing on any skin tone.

    2. Highlight strong. Brush a shimmery formula along your cheekbone; try MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Show Gold. Brush some under and over your brows, too – an easy way to bring even more brightness.

  • Brows – Filled In & Feathered Up

A natural-looking brow still takes a bit of work. Trust us – it’s so worth it.

    1. Fill them in. Following the natural line of your hairs, fill and shape your arches with brow powder. Ideally, you’d like your brows to begin at a vertical line to the middle of your nostril (use a makeup brush or eye pencil to measure) and the tail should extend to the outer corner of your eye. Must try: Benefit Cosmetics Foolproof Brow Powder, paired with an IT Brushes for Ulta Love Beauty Fully Angled Liner/Brow Brush – which is tapered so you can be super precise.

Why you need to get on a brow powder kick: It’s great for sparse brows. It makes it look like there’s a shadow underneath your brow hairs, which gives the illusion
    of fullness.

    2. Give them some volume. Feather them up just a little bit so they don’t look overpolished (remember, this is all about natural-girl beauty). We recommend Ulta Beauty Collection Brow Tint.

  • Eyes – Smoked
    Plum Shades

Visions of sugarplums? Right here. Try our new spin on the smokey eye: layers of neutrals and ripe plum, a flirty and fun take on the typical smoldering look (plus, it looks great on any skin tone).

Create this look with a must-have:
    Urban Decay Naked3 Palette.

    1. Get a neutral base going. Apply “Nooner,” a light taupe, up to the crease. Top it with “Liar,” a light bronze with some shimmer.

    2. Build smoke. Smudge the outer corners with “Mugshot,” a deep sand hue. You should also smoke it out below, brushing “Darkheart,” a light charcoal, on the lower lash line.

    3. Add that luscious plum. Smudge a plum shade on the center of your lid for instant color and intensity. We picked NYX Professional Makeup Eyeshadow in Punk Heart. Blend, blend, blend – a smokey eye is all about seamless colors.

    4. Pop that waterline. Using a smooth gel eyeliner in white, trace your waterline. We used Ulta Beauty Collection Gel Eyeliner Pencil in Halo.

Why is white liner right? It opens the eyes (sometimes black liner can make eyes look smaller).

    5. Mascara, mascara, mascara. Go big. Volume. Length. Everything. Just one coat of a major player like Lancôme’s Monsieur Big Mascara in Black gets the job done. Lower lashes too, please!

  • Lips – Hot Pink Power

Break the holiday red lip tradition. This year, think pink.

    1. Fill them in with liner. Outline first to get the shape, then color it all in. You’re going to want the full coverage because it creates a smooth surface for another layer of pink. Try this: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil
    in Frenemy.

    2. Get glossy with it. Over the top: a slick, juicy gloss. In cotton candy pink, of course. We love Butter London Plush Rush Lip Goss in Flash Mob.

Make that lip last: Exfoliating your lips first with a damp washcloth or toothbrush will give you a smooth surface. And don’t forget a coat of lip primer – it will make your color more vibrant, too!

  • Hair – All Done Up

The ultimate party look – a classic top knot.

“Beautiful for any hair texture, this chic updo has fringe for a modern edge.”

    – Ammon Carver,
Pro Hair Team Member, The Salon at Ulta Beauty

Get your hair updo-ready by applying volumizer after the shower. We love L’Anza Healing Volume Zero Weight Gel. It adds a little texture and grip. Whether you do a top knot or not, any holiday updo needs a finishing touch, so spritz on styler that adds shine and nourishes your hair.

Our pick: L’Anza Keratin Healing Oil Lustrous Finishing Spray – it has four botanical oils and keratin protein that strengthens your hair.
