Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free All-in-1 ABC Cushion Foundation SPF 50:

Shade selection is limited. I'm lucky I got a match. I normally wear MAC NC27 in winter and NC30 in summer. I have mature skin combination normal/oily. This foundation goes on like a second skin. It is buildable. It didn't exaggerate pores or wrinkles. I used a squirrel brush for application because sponges eat foundation and there's not much product in this compact. It covered my dark circles well. I tried two shades in this line: Natural and Beige. Medium was too dark and orange. Light/Medium was too pink--- probably better for NW25-30 skins. Since I have a slight tan, Beige was my best color now. In wintertime, I will go a shade lighter, which will be Natural. It didn't break me out. If you have sensitive eyes, avoid getting this near because the high SPF will irritate.

I like cream to powder foundations but wasn't finding one that I liked, so I opted to try this cushion foundation which I hoped would be a good substitute (I was ready to spend $50+ on YSL, but thought better against it until I tried a more economical brand). I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of application and the color (as well as the wear). And the SPF is an added bonus. It does not feel greasy or heavy at all.

First of all I'm typically a brand buyer but recently started cutting back to save up faster. So I bought this stuff, instead of my usual expensive foundation, and I LOVE IT! I have oily acne prone skin and this stuff is perfect for it. It will settle into creases IF you don't use a primer or concealer. It's true to color and even when I got back to buying brand name products I'm still going to buy this for my foundation. Nothing bad to say about this stuff

I loved it the first two or three times I wore it. After that it just looked very yellow on me eventhough my skin tone hadn't changed. It only lasts a few hours even with a primer.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free All-in-1 ABC Cushion Foundation SPF 50:

I am a very fair redhead with a LOT of freckles. Normally my freckles do not bother me, and by some blessing they seem to not show up in photos. Lately I have been noticing a lot more pigmentation in my face and not liking it. I got this product for its very high SPF content.

Having said that- the product comes in a very attractive pillow like package. I bought the lightest shade available and I think it looks ok. I have put this stuff to the test so let me tell you, living on the gulf coast and working in Houston I can say I have been very impressed. Houston is HOT and HUMID. You can feel it on top of your skin but it doesn't seem to slide off. I haven't experienced that yet.

I do like the application process. I pat on overlapping circles and then where my freckles are the worst I can apply more to those areas. I think it is best not to smear or swipe it on your face. The product gets streaky and hard to work with. Just pat the sponge and then pat on your face in little overlapping circles. I do think it feels wet at first, but it dries fairly quickly. I do not recommend putting any other products like blush or setting powder until you feel it dry out.

SPF 50 is great but don't expect this to be makeup foundations. It's more of a sunscreen and don't think CC or BB cream either. It only lasts a few hours. I would not wear this is you are going ot be running around doing errands. Won't last for that either.

The only uses I think would be gardening outside for a couple hours or if you are heading to the beach/pool and going to get in the water anyway. It ends up melting off the face (i am combo skin) after a few hours. Not impressed and especially for the price. Don't waste your time or money.

I wrote an initial review for this product in the shade "natural" a month or so ago. But since, I've also repurchased in "light/medium" for the summer. I have to say I almost like this shade even MORE because it gives me more color. But it's really only good for when I've self tanned a bit. Otherwise, "natural" matches my light skin with golden tones well... I just feel it's a little too light for me at times (esp. in the summer). So ideally I wish there was a light yellow toned shade in between these two. But otherwise this is the perfect everyday foundation. I am someone who is ONLY used to high-end foundations too, so this was a shock to me!! I think it gives the perfect coverage and has much better coverage than a lot of foundations. I find it lasts all day too (but my skin is on the dry side, so I'm not sure how it would last for oily skins). I will keep repurchasing this because it's SO easy to apply (I actually LOVE the applicator it comes with-- you just press the product right into your skin and you're done in 2 minutes!). And of course, it has the cutest packaging ever, which is a nice touch!

I love that this has SPF 50! I would say it gives medium coverage. It lasts pretty well on my skin (I have oily/combination skin) although it does tend to cake up around the more textured areas of my face so I like to go in with a lighter hand in those spots. I also prefer to use a damp beauty blender for the initial application rather than the puff applicator. But the puff is nice for touch-ups throughout the day.
It's not my absolute favorite foundation but as far as makeup with SPF goes, it's pretty good.
