Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I typically use the bronzer of this brand and love it for a summer glow. I was in the market for talc free, thought I would try it, but it is heavy and dare I say pasty. Not sure if this is because its mineral powder? I did not like the bare mineral products either if that helps. I tried using a puff to pat it in and blend but for some reason it makes the fine hairs on the face noticeable. Just an okay product, it did not keep my face oil free, but shiney within minutes and I don't consider my skin overly oily

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I was really on the lookout for an everyday foundation. At the time I was having severe breakouts, I'm talking horrible painful cystic acne. Initially I started with Bare Minerals, which I used about six years ago and it was great. But this time it made my breakouts worse. I did some research and found that it contains talc! Which is not good for acne sufferers. So I picked this physicians formula powder up. Let me tell you...it's incredible. The coverage is so much better than bare minerals. You can definitely build the coverage with this powder. My skin can be dry and it doesn't make it look flaky. My Abe calmed down tremendously since using this. Please give this stuff a chance!!

I have very sensitive skin and can break out easily . I love this powder because it is very light weight and seems more like a sheer power. Beautiful matte look over foundation. Love this brand for being cruelty free. Will buy again.

This is my favourite setting powder (I use it with Urban Decay's One and Done). It sets well, is long lasting, and blends beautifully. I don't even feel it on my skin, it's nice and light weight.

I have been using this product every day for the past 3-4 years. It's affordable, silky, and never cakey - always sets my foundation nicely without looking too heavy. I have sometimes over-applied this powder (likely because of my brush) and that has caused it to set into my smile lines. You truly only need one swoop of this around your whole face to get a soft, matte look. I use Watt's Up over it for more definition.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I have so many liquid foundations, but lately, especially with warmer weather, I have been trying to use less foundation/just powder foundation. I find that it holds up better in the humidity, and it is supposed to be a lot better for your skin, especially this Physicians Formula one. I recently had a bad breakout, and the past 5 days I have used a mixture of this with some of the Tarte Powder Foundation, and I see my skin clearing up with no new spots. I found out about this foundation from some old videos of Tati's on YouTube, and I am so thankful for her recommendation. Also, It is possible to get a higher coverage with this product if you apply it with a damp sponge, as opposed to a brush. I find that it "sticks" to the skin better with sponge application as well. Tati also gave me that idea. I have been starting with moisturizer, Pixi Glowtion, and some Smashbox Primer Water. Then I go in and spot concealing with a full coverage concealer over blemishes and conceal undereyes. Then I sort of "set" the concealer and create a smooth base for the powder foundation with a light layer of Translucent Powder (I use RCMA No Color Powder) all over the face. Then I take my damp EcoTools Sponge and pick up the powder dab, press, and blend onto my face. Then I apply another light layer of either Translucent powder, or a more oil controlling setting powder like Rimmel Stay Matte or CG Outlast Powder, over the Powder Foundation, just to set it and control shine. Then I apply any other powder products (Bronzer, Contour, Blush, Highlight, etc.) Finally, I go over the whole face with a generous amount of setting spray (SB Primer Water, Pixi Glow Mist, Mac Fix +, Milani Make it Last, Catrice Prime and Fine, etc.)to meld the powder into the skin, and create a more natural finish. I find that this routine looks flattering and looks really natural, almost like I am not wearing much product at all. I have been going with the whole "Less is More" approach, using the bare minimum.
