Ask a Question
With a fresh peach bellini scent, medicated double-sided-soft/textured acne pads by Peter Thomoas Roth help to minimize the appearance of pore size and offer anti-aging benefits. Includes Glycolic Acid Complex 10%, Salicylic Acid 2%, soothing Arginine, Allantoin, Whole Leaf Aloe Vera and extracts of Chamomile and Green Tea. Exclusively formulated to help cleanse skin, clear up blackheads, refine pores, and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Pads contain potent Alpha Hydroxy Acid (Glycolic Acid Complex 10%) and Beta Hydroxy Acid (Salicylic Acid 2%) in an advanced botanical formulation creating a unique, clarifying, synergistic action to help cleanse the skin, clear up active acne blemishes, minimize the appearance of pore size, and eliminate the formation of new blackheads and blemishes. Helps regulate healthy cell turnover and delivers proven anti-aging benefits that help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Double-sided pads help deliver gentle cleansing action on one side and superior pore-refining exfoliation on the textured side. Provides a veil of fresh peach bellini scent that replaces the odor of traditional medicinal antiseptic pads.

Key Ingredients & Benefits:
  • Glycolic Acid (AHA) - Helps exfoliate dead surface skin cells and helps stimulate cellular turnover
  • Salicylic Acid (BHA) - Helps to loosen sebum within the pores and prevents future breakouts
  • Arginine - Buffers the skin from irritation
  • Allantoin - Soothes and calms
  • Aloe Vera - Soothes and hydrates
  • Chamomile Extract - Comforts and soothes
  • Green Tea Extract - Anti-oxidant helps to fight free radical attack
Cleanse and rinse your face thoroughly before applying. Wipe affected area gently with pad, using light pressure. Do not scrub. Repeat with clean pad to remove remaining traces of oil, dead skin cells, pollutants and make-up residue. Because dryness can occur, apply once daily, increasing to two to three times daily as needed. If undue dryness or scaling occurs, use once daily or every other day or alternate with PTR Gentle Complexion Correction Pads.

Precautions: Do not allow pad to remain on skin. For external use only. Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
Active: Salicylic Acid 2%. Inactive: Alcohol Denat., Water (Aqua), Glycolic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Triethanolamine, Arginine, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Symphytum Officinale Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Allantoin, Fragrance (Parfum).

Comments about Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads:

By far the most effective astringent I've used to help with my acne. I use one pad a day to cover my chest and shoulders and have seen a dramatic reduction in blemishes. Not drying but the scent is intense (toner/ alcohol)... make sure you only buy a container with blue packaging!! The old white packaging is from a release from a long time ago- it's gone bad by now.

Comments about Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads:

I just turned 30 and I was looking for a product to revitalize my dull, pasty, oily, acne prone skin. After seeing various different celebrity recommendations I thought I would splurge and try Peter Thomas Roth max complexion pads. I followed the directions and washed my face prior to using the cleansing pad. The first time I used this product my skin felt alive again! I felt so refreshed and clean!!! The pads even picked up dirt that my face wash didn't not throughly cleanse. This was what I have been searching for. I am highly satisfied with this product and would recommend to a friend for sure.

Cons - Dries out skin so at first do not use daily. Use every other day or every third day to start.

Comments about Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads:

For those complaining that these don't remove makeup, they aren't designed to! They are an acid toner, and a pretty good one at that. They do have some alcohol in them, which can make them drying, so if your skin isn't super oily I would only recommend them every other day and alternate with a less powerful toner. They are great for clearing spots and making your skin look glowy!

I have tried several products for my teenage daughter's skin and this THE only one that gives consistent results! TO use it, you have to wipe over entire clean face and then turn it over and repeat. She even uses it the morning without washing her face and when used like this her skin clears up in about 4-5 days!

Comments about Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads:

I suffer from hormonal and cystic acne in my jaw line. I was searching for a new product to help with managing it and I read a ton of review of other people with the same problem. I bought this and noticed a difference in TWO days. Seriously. I even got asked if I was pregnant because my skin was glowing. I'm so happy with his products I've bought 3 others to use in conjunction with these! You won't be sorry!

My son used these pads daily. We have tried everything for his acne-prone skin, but being a teenage boy he doesn't like to spend a lot of time with a daily ritual of cleansing, followed by a toner and moisturizer. These pads are like all three in one!!

The strongest over the counter acid. Convenient pads for applying. Just wash your hands after using or your skin around your cuticles will start to peel and dry out. Too strong to use everyday- so one tub will last a while. Use 2-3 days a week and reap the benefits of baby soft skin & small pores the remainder of the week.

Is this product ok for sensitive skin? Does this product have benzoyl peroxide in it?

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

This product does not contain benzoyl peroxide. It contains Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid. This is a rather strong product so I recommend starting to use it about once a week and then building up to more frequent use once you see how your skin is tolerating it. Also, you may want to start with just targeting the areas of concern and avoiding drier areas.

                  A:

This product would be great for those concerns. I also recommend AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel. The combination of Salicylic and Glycolic Acids are great for both treating active acne and for helping to reduce the appearance of acne that isn't active but is still visible.

              • Q:

I have sensitive, combination skin. As a woman in her mid 20's, my skin is changing especially still since 3yrs ago I was on Accutane for systic acne. which turned my oily skin into combo/dry skin, especially now during winter; but now my pores are starting to get larger again & my hormonal acne is coming back periodically (not cysts thankfully) and I still have scarring from the cystic acne. My skin is also fair and I'm prone to redness & easily irritated by products and fragrances. I used to use the Gentle Complexion Pads, which are now discontinued. Would this be a good option for exfoliating, reducing pore size & evening skin tone? I've been getting a lot of dead skin buildup around my nose, cheeks & t-zone this winter. Suggestions appreciated!

Yes, this product could be great for those concerns. You can also only target the areas that have the issues you are referencing and avoid the dry areas. You can also try AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel, you can target its use on pores, blemishes and scars with a combination of Salicylic and Glycolic Acids.

                  A:

These two products can be used together but you are correct, they may be too drying to some skins. You can work up to using them together daily but first add the pads in every other day and work up to daily. You can play around with using these products by alternating days or by targeting specific areas of the face or body rather than everywhere.

                  A:

Yes, you can use this product as a "toner" in that it is a water-thin formula, just already applied to a cotton round/pad and is intended to be left on. This is stronger than a traditional toner though in that it has active ingredients at OTC levels where most toners are much more mild. Just keep that in mind.

Hi, yes, you can use both products at the same time. I suggest you maybe not layer them and instead use one in the morning and one at night? Also, the Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads are rinse-off where the Max Complexion Correction Pads are leave-on. The Max Pads will help with pores more than the Peel Pads which provide more benefits to help fine lines and wrinkles.
