Comments about Laura Geller Matte Maker:

Was looking for a new setting powder and decided to give this one a try. It works ok (much better than ulta brand or drug store brands) but not nearly as well as other premium brand setting powders I have used. I will go back to the setting powder from Tarte. It is a far better product and keeps me matte for a long time.

Comments about Laura Geller Matte Maker:

I was kinda pressured to buy this by a lady st ulta and convinced myself I would return it the next day when she wasn't working haha. Come to find out this is my third time purchasing this item . I have combination skin and its works wonderfully . I apply it after my makeup is all done and it leaves a smooth polished flawless look. Deff recommend

                a little chalky, watch application

                By Melly

                from Arizona

Comments about Laura Geller Matte Maker:

It removes shine, as promised. Don't sweep it, tap the brush against the skin to reduce whiteness. I do not think this would work
well for darker tones. I'm fair skinned and it takes a second to diffuse the whiteness.

Absorbs shine from breakthrough oily skin. Goes on white but completely fades after a few seconds. I apply it before foundation and it keeps the shine away much longer.

                      A:

Absolutely! I love this product because it will not add any makeup onto the skin nor will it take away any of the makeup that is already on the skin. It will simply absorb all skin and oil and is virtually invisible. Enjoy!

Not at all! This product literally absorbs shine and oil without taking away Or adding any makeup onto the skin. It is a miracle worker and a must have in your makeup bag! Use a slightly fluffy brush and fan it on any oily area. Enjoy!

                  • Q:

Has anyone had any issues with this powder lightening their makeup where applied? I would use this to touch up during the day, as I work long shifts, and all white powders I have used for this turn my makeup way too ashy white where applied. Thank you!!

                    • Brand Expert

                      A:

This powder will not make your makeup appear to be white. This can be used as a mattifyer throughout the day to simply eliminate shine and oil, and it can be used as a setting powder over your favorite liquid foundation. If you have a much deeper skin tone, you can absolutely use this product! Because it is baked and it is so lightweight, it will not make the makeup look ashy if you use the correct tools. I would recommend using a light, fluffy brush, or even a fan brush. Anything too dense could deposit too much pigment on the skin. Enjoy!

Absolutely! You can apply your favorite foundation and use the Matte Maker to set, finish, and Mattify the skin. It is translucent so it will not add any more coverage on top of what you already have. Enjoy!

Absolutely not! This product is perfect if you'll be in photos. It will simply Mattify the skin without adding or taking away makeup from the face. It will not leave a white residue either. Enjoy!
