Comments about EcoTools Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo:

In the past I have used other brands of makeup brush cleanser that cost more money. However I had read good things about the ecotools wash. Wow was I surprised ! I do bridal party makeup quite often and have to wash my brushes frequently. The products I have used in the past did a good
Job however I feel like they didn't remove makeup as well as I would like from the brushes. One use of the eco tools and my brushes are like new again! Easily removed makeup from my brushes. The only downside is that it does take a lot of rinsing to get all of the product out. But that doesn't bother me much since it does such a good job of cleaning. Will definitely purchase again! Especially since it is a really good price point !

I think the bast way is to put a dime sized drop of pruct in my palm, wet my makeup brush and swirl. Rinse the brush under water and repeat process until the water rinses clear.

First time using a brush shampoo. It worked great on my brushes that I had not cleaned in some time, whoops. On the more caked on brushes, I had to use more product to get them completely clean. It does not have any harsh smells and is neutral in scent.

Thanks for your question! All of our EcoTools and Real Techniques brush bristles are synthetic, and this was designed to work perfectly with both synthetic and natural hair bristles.

Great question - this cleanser is one of my personal favorites because of how gentle it is, but also how effective it is too! You should be able to use this with no problem on any of the makeup brushes in your bag.

As with everything, it's probably best if you consult your dermatologist before using, but I can tell you that this is formulated with ingredients that are a bit less harsh than some of the other makeup brush cleansers that are out there. And, while I'm not a doctor, I think that would lessen any skin irritations, etc that you might experience.

                                Hope that helps!

Great question. This brush is specifically formulated with gentler ingredients to ensure that your brushes and sponges do not dry out. I use this shampoo to clean my brushes every week and LOVE the performance I get from them after I clean them. While we don't claim that this "conditions" your brushes, I do think mine feel softer after cleaning, definitely!

This cleanser has been dermatologist tested and is hypoallergenic. Because it's also made with gentle plant-based ingredients, and is free of parabens, phthalates, and petroleum-based ingredients, it should not cause your skin to break out. Just ensure that you wash, rinse and dry your brushes thoroughly.

                                Thanks!

Good question - I actually had to ask the people who formulated the shampoo about that, so I learned something too today! :)

They told me that the Makeup Brush Shampoo is just a cleanser for the brushes, and does not contain any antibacterial agents. The shampoo will wash away buildup (including bacteria), but isn't designed to kill bacteria.

                                Hope that helps!

Yes, this is great for use on sponges. As with any type of cleanser, just make sure you rinse thoroughly and squeeze any excess liquid off your sponge and allow to dry.
