Comments about EcoTools Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo:

Only reason i strayed once was bc it wasnt in stock at my ulta, so splurged on the beauty blender cleanser (i hate being w.o proper brush shampoo). I am a brand buyer but i see no reason why a brush cleanser should cost any more than maybe 10 bucks. This cleanser works wonders; it removes all leftover product from brushes and sponges, is good for everyday use to cleanse, and it is well worth the money. If I'm not mistaken it's about eight or nine dollars. Definitely recommend This product to anyone.

I was looking for a good brush cleaner without breaking the bank. A friend recommended this one and I absolutely love it. It works into a nice lather and rinses clean without any residue. It's natural and doesn't have harsh chemicals that will often irritate my skin.

There's not much to say about this product. Did it clean my brushes, sure. But did I need to buy a special liquid soap? I think I got suckered in by a magazine recommendation. I will use it but don't know if I would buy it again.

I HATE cleaning my brushes, and would rather buy a new beauty blender than clean the the dirty one I have. It usually takes me forever to clean my brushes. This shampoo is everything. It smells great and gets old makeup off of my brushes that I have neglected. It cleaned my beauty blender from light brown/orange, to the neon orange it's suppose to be.

Thanks for your question! All of our EcoTools and Real Techniques brush bristles are synthetic, and this was designed to work perfectly with both synthetic and natural hair bristles.

                          Hope that helps!

Great question - this cleanser is one of my personal favorites because of how gentle it is, but also how effective it is too! You should be able to use this with no problem on any of the makeup brushes in your bag.

                          Thanks!

                          Hi Ray Ray,

As with everything, it's probably best if you consult your dermatologist before using, but I can tell you that this is formulated with ingredients that are a bit less harsh than some of the other makeup brush cleansers that are out there. And, while I'm not a doctor, I think that would lessen any skin irritations, etc that you might experience.

                          Hope that helps!

                          Hi Abby,

Great question. This brush is specifically formulated with gentler ingredients to ensure that your brushes and sponges do not dry out. I use this shampoo to clean my brushes every week and LOVE the performance I get from them after I clean them. While we don't claim that this "conditions" your brushes, I do think mine feel softer after cleaning, definitely!

                          Thanks - hope that helps!

This cleanser has been dermatologist tested and is hypoallergenic. Because it's also made with gentle plant-based ingredients, and is free of parabens, phthalates, and petroleum-based ingredients, it should not cause your skin to break out. Good question - I actually had to ask the people who formulated the shampoo about that, so I learned something too today! :)

They told me that the Makeup Brush Shampoo is just a cleanser for the brushes, and does not contain any antibacterial agents. The shampoo will wash away buildup (including bacteria), but isn't designed to kill bacteria.

                          Hope that helps!
