Comments about Japonesque Makeup Brush Cleanser Rosewater Scent:

This leaves a bit of a residue and make the brushes feel less soft. However it does clean them well, so long as they're not super dirty, and they dry quickly afterwards.

Comments about Japonesque Makeup Brush Cleanser Rosewater Scent:

I'm new to using makeup brushes. I thought I could use liquid soap to clean them but the makeup didn't budge at all. Then I saw this product in an Ulta email. I got it on sale & it's wonderful! Cleans my brushes in a few seconds. Let them dry & they're good to go again. Will definitely purchase when I run out.

I used to just buy the travel size of this, but I just love this stuff so much that I had to get the bigger size. This is amazing for in between brush washes.

To clean my brushes. It would probably do a better job of cleaning if I hadn't waited so long to clean them. I am doing it once a week now to try to get more out of them. Seems to be a good product.

I went into Ulta for help with choosing a makeup brush cleaner. The associate gave me some choices and I chose Japonesque. It works extremely well with only a few sprays and smells heavenly (Rosewater scent). Dry time about 30 minutes. This is a must have for all cosmetic brush cleaning. Not only is it hygienic but prolongs the life of the brush as well.

I use to use this product very often but the smell and oily feel really started to bother me. It's a good product overall. It'll clean your brush if you need to apply a different color but it just wasn't my favorite. Now I just clean my brushes the night before with the Japonesque brush cleaner. I like that so much better.

Drying time will vary according to brush type and thickness. No need to use water! Here are the directions:

Hold the bottle approximately 6 inches away from the brush and direct nozzle towards the brush head. Evenly disperse the cleanser into the brush head. Gently rotate the brush head in a circular motion on a paper towel or terry cloth allowing all of the makeup to be removed from the brush head. Repeat as needed. Dry excess moisture with a terrycloth or paper towel; reshape bristles and lay flat to dry. Do not dry with brush hairs in upright position. Drying time will vary according to brush type and thickness. Ensure brush is completely dry before re-using.

Yes, you can absolutely spray it onto your makeup sponges for a quick cleanse, though we still do recommend deep cleaning your sponges from time to time with brush shampoo such as Japonesque Solid Brush Cleanser and water.

For quick cleaning, spritz the formula directly onto the brush, and wipe with a paper towel. Make sure the brush is completely dry before using.
