If you have wavy hair that needs weightless moisture, then DevaCurl Low-Poo Delight Weightless Waves Mild Lather Cleanser is a must-have for body and frizz control. The mild lather is great for a thorough, yet gentle cleanse.

Low-Poo Delight brings out the beauty of your natural waves. The balanced, light formula cleanses the scalp and hair while fighting frizz and oiliness. It's made with rice protein for body and fullness, lotus flower for bounce and a chia-flaxseed extract blend for defined waves that last. Great for wavy hair!

Lotus flower and citrus fragrances are bright and addictive.
Wet your waves in the shower. Apply cleanser to your scalp and massage with your fingertips. As you begin to rinse, allow the water to help move the Low-Poo through the ends. Make sure to rinse thoroughly by massaging your scalp again as the water runs over your waves. Follow with One Condition Delight.
Water (Aqua, Eau), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Coco-Betaine, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract, Salvia Hispanica Seed Extract, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Nymphaea Lotus Flower Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Fragrance (Parfum), PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Polyquaternium-10, Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium-7, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Aminomethyl Propanol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

Comments about DevaCurl Low-Poo Delight Weightless Waves Mild Lather Cleanser:

I'm still learning this whole "curly girl" concept. I'd been using the "no-poo" shampoo and had no complaints, but decided to buy this out of curiosity and a feeling that a "no-poo" shampoo couldn't really be cleaning that well. The low-poo smells good and does a nice job cleaning my hair, but I don't think the end result is any different from the "no-poo". All very confusing, but it's a nice shampoo and I will buy it again.

Didn't live up to the hype. Call me crazy but volumizing shampoos make my curls look better then hydrating "low-poos". This weighed my curls down almost to the point where the hair in the back of my head went straight. TOO moisturizing for me!

      Where's the moisture?

      By Marie

      from Great Lakes Region

Comments about DevaCurl Low-Poo Delight Weightless Waves Mild Lather Cleanser:

I have thinning wavy hair, but the hair I do have is thick (does that make sense?). Basically I have some thinning on my scalp but my actual strands of hair are thick and a problem I run into a lot is products tend to be too heavy and weigh my hair down. In addition I have dry hair from years of styling damage. I've been using drugstore brand sulfate free shampoo and have been happy with the results, but I'm always in search for additional moisturizing shampoos. Since people rave about this brand I gave it a go. While in the shower I could immediately tell this was not moisturizing at all. There was no aforementioned weighing down issues as there was just no conditioning properties in this product. After conditioning and using my leave in, I noticed my hair was really difficult to comb while blow drying. Total rat's nest. Really bummed but I will go back to my drugstore brand for now.

I bought this first in trial size with conditioner and wave maker to see what I thought after hearing all the hype about no poo shampoo. Even if your hair only has a small amount of wave this shampoo brings it out. I use it with the conditioner then towel dry and put Wave Maker on to add texture and volume. I use defuser to lock in any curl I can get and my hair feels soft, fluffy with lots of volume.

I use low poo shampoo and the conditioner. Then the b'leave in. Then ultra light gel and then wave maker, the frizz & volume foam. But I'm still getting frizz after I diffuse on the top. How do I stop that?? Too much product?? I hope not because my thick sausage curls I never knew I even had are rocking & popping with these products plus I have a mixture of straw like curls. There gorgeous.... I've hid them for years, now they are out and proud!! Just don't like the frizz on top!! Help!!

Try using cool water to rinse your hair, also I would make sure to apply your stylers to soaking wet hair. I would try the foam with the gel. Then use Wave Maker to break you curl cast.

I have oily curly hair. I can wash my hair in the morning and by the evening it's already oily. Because I don't know how to manage my curls I straighten out my hair on a regular basis. Would you recommend any of the deva curl products for my hair type?

                  A:

I recommend No Poo for clients with oily scalps as the moisture in No Poo helps calm the scalp, which slows down your oil production. With No Poo, be sure to massage it in and massage it out thoroughly with lots of water! After about a week, your scalp will feel soft but have no oily residue. If you aren't ready for zero-lather experience or just prefer the sensation of lather Low-Poo is gentle enough to use daily and will not keep your scalp in that "over-production" mode. Best of luck!

I have strait to wavy hair depending on the conditions, I also have issues with scalp health/dandruff. Would this shampoo be a good option for me or do you have other recommendations?

                1 answer

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

Dandruff can be the result of a dry scalp and can have several causes, including dry skin, seborrhoeic dermatitis, not cleaning/scrubbing often enough, shampooing too often, psoriasis, eczema, sensitivity to hair care products, or a yeast-like fungus. Dry skin is the most common cause of flaking dandruff.
If dry skin is the cause, then Deva products would be more suitable than others because our products are not drying and would not disturb the moisture balance of the scalp.

For cleansing and conditioning, I would highly recommend trying our Delight Low Poo and One Condition Delight. Delight provides weightless moisture and helps enhance the shape of waves. It is formulated specifically for finer hair.

My hair ranges somewhere between wavy and slightly curly (2b/2c), but it's extremely thick and frizz-prone and requires a LOT more moisture than most caucasian hair. I tend to like products that weigh my hair down, because my waves just become puffy and uncontrollable when they get too much volume. Would you recommend Original low-poo or the Delight version?

Original Low Poo is better for a bit more hydration, but is still very light weight. Delight is more for finer, wavy hair types.

This is the best shampoo and conditioner I have found. I am worried about using it everyday. My friend says it does not have enough moisturizing ingredients. I wash my hair everyday. I have a mixed head of hair both wavy and curly in places. I am 64 years old, and my hair is thinning. I color it every six weeks and highlight it once in a while. Is this product OK in the long run?

Our cleansers are gentle enough to use daily and will cleanse your hair without stripping them of their natural moisture. For best results, cleanse your hair with Low Poo two to three times a week. I would highly recommend hydrating your hair with One Condition daily or whenever you wet your hair for the healthiest, most hydrated locks.)

What is the difference between the new low-poo delight and the original low-poo , is it something with the ingredients to either make one condition a little more than the other ,or is it something with the cleansing ingredients, for a little deeper cleansing, or maybe both. I'm not sure which one I want to try, so I'd like to purchase the one that I feel would benefit my needs.I do use other Deva products and I'm very satisfied with them, I haven't tried these yet, also are they gentle enough for every day use?

If you have wavy hair, you will want to try our New Delight line! Delight provides weightless moisture and helps enhance the shape of waves. It is formulated specifically for wavy hair.

If you have curly hair, I would highly recommend trying our Original DevaCurl line. Our products contain only moisturizing and water soluble botanicals that stimulate, cleanse, rejuvenate and restore curls natural order.

Low-Poo is our mild lather cleanser. Low Poo is gentle enough to use daily and will cleanse your curls without stripping them of their natural moisture.
