Comments about Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask:

Welp, I've tried many things for my acne, which I would say was pretty mild but with reoccurring cystic acne. Now, this product is described to be effective in helping with mild to moderate acne. One week after using this light therapy mask, and my forehead and chin have broken out in horrible cystic acne, worse than my skin has ever looked before. Nothing else in my skincare, medication, or diet has changed. I researched if this was possibly an IB but could not find any known cases of light therapy causing that. I have been using Epiduo (sp?) topical cream for about a month and a half now, and I appy it hours after I use the light mask. I know this mask has a lot of good reviews, but if you are very prone to cystic acne as I am, you might want to consider doing further research.

Comments about Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask:

I am almost done with the first 30 days and so far it seems to do what it claims. I get hormonal acne during that time of the month and I was realistic about my results since I did not expect to see results after only less than a month of treatment. What I did notice was that redness and inflammation did seem to get better after just one week. Here are a few pointers:

        1. Wash your face first and dry.
        2. The package comes with a face mask with attached goggles to protect your eyes; it has a cord attached to it on the bottom right side of the mask where you connect it to the "LED activator".
        3. Make sure you push the plug into the LED activator so you don't waste any treatments.
        4. With the face mask on your face, turn on the LED activator by holding the power button for a few seconds. You will know it is on when the face mask lights up pink. Each time you do a treatment, the LED activator will show the number of treatment days you have left (ie. 30, 29. 28)
        5. When I first used the mask I kept my eyes closed which i don't recommend because it was so bright! There is a little viewing screen so you can continue to watch tv, work on your computer, etc. In fact, I'm writing this as I wear the mask and I have no problems with the brightness of the mask!
        6. Use everyday for 10 minutes; the mask will glow pink and will make your face feel slightly warm
        7. Because it is programmed to give an equal amount of LED light per treatment, there is only 30 days included in each activator so after 30 days, you will need to buy a new activator which is around $16 (which is still cheaper than going to a dermatologist to get it done 2-3 times a week or buying those $500+ ones that celebs use)
        8. It seems to make my skin feel dry so I put on a light weight moisturizer after use.
        9. I had a 20% off coupon from Ulta so I used it at that time.
        10. Everyone's skin is different so hopefully it works for you! Plus it looks cool!

        TAKE MY MONEY!

        By Erica

        from California

Comments about Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask:

I've been using this for about two months now and I am 3 sessions away from my 3 month. I just moved to California from Colorado about 5 months ago. Since making that move my skin has not been loving it and I've been getting texture on my face, which is not something I dealt with in CO. I had been desperate to find something help with that. Seen the commercial for this and decided to pick it and I'm so glad that I did. Not only has my skin gotten softer it's cleared up 90% of that texture and since using this I've only gotten 1 small pimple but that cleared up within a few days. So to also eliminated any chance of breakouts. I think you really have to give it a chance to really work and let your skin get used to it. You're not going to get perfect skin in just a few uses. Also having an routine after the mask (toners, moisturizers) I feel is also important. This mask is worth it if you ask me and I will gladly keep purchasing the refill activators each month because you can't put a price tag on good skin care (in my opinion) :)

I clicked the activator and the mask never came on. All it did was take away one of my sessions. I read this a few other places but decided to try it. Bad idea. I guess you get what you pay for.

Comments about Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask:

I have cystic acne & nothing has been working. My dermatologist suggested I get laser/photodynamic light therapy for my acne but it is very costly & consumes. A Lot of time. I saw this in several stores and then on tv and figured I'd give it a shot. Within just a few days almost all of my acne disappeared. I still have a spot or two & scars from my severe acne but for less than 50 dollars depending on where u get it & just 10 minutes a day it's definitely worth a shot

Comments about Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask:

When I bought this mask I was very skeptical that it would work or not. I've been using the mask for 5 days now and I havent seen any difference at all. Not only this, but the product lights up so bright that it's irritating to keep on. It's also a big scam that the activator only works for 30 days. After that you have to spend 15 dollars on another activator. But this might be just a way for the company to keep getting money from consumers. In general, I see no results, but I will keep using it until the 30 days are over. I don't plan on buying another activator for this.

LED light therapy is effective, so it's no surprise to me that this has good reviews. What I wish someone told me before buying this is that you can buy an LED grow light for way cheaper, and it will last way longer.
