Comments about No7 Lift & Luminate Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15:

So i wish i bought this sooner, i've been eyeing it up for a long time now and finally purchased it in store a few days ago at ulta. I love this so much, i thought the ivory option was still going to be too dark, but it ended up the perfect color, It's definitely a more light weight coverage, so if you like full coverage this probably isn't for you. I have occasional breakouts and such, so i usually like to have a more light to medium coverage.I really like how it smooths out my skin, and doesn't give me any kind of sensitivity. This is my new favorite.

A finishing powder must be used as this make up leaves a shiny look. I felt this product was pricey for what you get.

I was buying such high end foundation, going up and up in price and still very dissatisfied in product that was costing me a fortune! No 7 caught my eye, the reviews, not tested on animals and the price. All I can say is I love it, best foundation I have used in 50 years...since I used Boots when I was living in England. Highly recommend!!

I was so very surprised about this product!! I bought this because of Kathleen lights and I was so pleased with just how well it helped my dry skin. I completely forgot that I had it on and accidentally wiped my face a few times which lead to product wiping off my nose and forehead, but I claim the responsibility. Overall, I am SUPER impressed with the product and cannot wait to wear it in the summer and feel hydrated and confident.

I was able to find my perfect shade. It blended out nicely, however after about 3 hours of wear I noticed that it was sticky around my nose and chin. i was at church and wished I had blotting papers with me. I have dry skin so oil is never a problem with me.

Thank you for reaching out! The shade Warm Beige (Item #2275035) is medium-fair with yellow undertones and is available in Lift & Luminate Foundation.

The only shade with yellow undertones in the No7 family that is lighter than this in the medium-fair category is the shade Warm Ivory, which is only available in Stay Perfect Foundation (Item #2306981) and Airbrush Away Foundation (Item #2306962). We hope this helps!

Good question! Lift & Luminate Foundation is better for normal/dry/very dry skin types. Some customers with combination/oily skin feel the dewy finish makes them look too shiny or it feels too heavy. Other customers with combination/oily skin love this foundation and will wear it over Airbrush Away Pore Minimising Primer (Item #2501024). This oil-free primer provides an effective barrier to shield your complexion from shine breakthrough, leaving your skin perfectly smooth and even all day long, and is a perfect base for your foundation.

Another option for you would be our Stay Perfect Foundation (Item #2306981). This is a weather-proof and transfer-proof medium coverage foundation with a natural satin/matte finish that looks and feels like fresh, clean skin. It lasts up to 17 hours and won't cake or flake on dry skin or slide and shine on oily skin.

We hope this helps and that you love your new foundation!

Thank you for reaching out. We categorize the shade Warm Beige as "Medium Fair" with warm undertones. While we can't guarantee that this will be your perfect match, if you are deeper than medium-fair, we think the shade Honey may be a better fit for you. It is medium with warm undertones. We sincerely hope this helps and wish you the best!

                      A:

We're sorry you've had challenges with these foundations. A silicone based primer should help you with both Lift & Luminate Foundation and Stay Perfect Foundation.

We have three silicone based primers which are all fan favorites: Airbrush Away Original Primer (Item #2501023), Airbrush Away Radiance Boosting Primer (Item #2501025), and Airbrush Away Pore Minimising Primer (Item #2501024).

When using these silicone based products, both the primers and foundations, less can be more when it comes to application. We encourage our customers to start out using just enough product to get the job done and then building from there. Sometimes if we get a little excited with our products (translation: we use a little too much, and who hasn't) it can make the foundation and other products on top of the foundation slip or "roll" off the skin.

If this isn't what you've experienced, we would love to help you get better results with your products and just ask that you provide more details for us, like information about your skin and which other products you use. We hope this helps!

                      A:

This is a great question! Lift & Luminate Foundation is an anti-aging foundation, but it isn't tested or claimed as a long-wear foundation. Many customers do wear this all day as their main foundation, but how it wears on each individual's skin will vary depending on their skin, the skincare products they use, and also if they use a primer with it.

If you're looking for a foundation that is formulated to be a long-wear formula, we think you'll prefer our Stay Perfect Foundation. This is a life-proof foundation that will wear up to 17 hours, provides medium coverage that you can build and is great for any skin type (it is smooth on dry skin and won't slide or shine on oily skin). We hope this helps!

Thank you for reaching out! We don't have a reliable way to compare shades from other brands, but from the shade descriptions they provide (the shades you listed all consistently are medium shades with warm undertones) and knowing that our shade Deeply Honey was too dark for you, we think you will have a better fit with either Deeply Beige or Honey. Both of these are Medium shades with warm undertones. Of these two shades, Honey is a little deeper than Deeply Beige. We do hope this is helpful for you!

                    • Brand Expert

                      A:

We're so sorry for your medical issues and wish you a very speedy and successful recovery.

To identify whether your skin has warm (yellow) or cool (pink) undertones, there are a few different things you can do. First, do you look better in gold or silver jewelry? Note: this is not "which one do you like more?" but which one makes your face look more vibrant? If the answer is gold, then your skin most likely has warm or yellow undertones. If the answer is silver, then your skin most likely has cool or pink undertones. Another way is to look at your bare face next to something white (not ivory or off-white). Skin with cool undertones will appear pinkish, and skin with warm undertones will look yellowish. Finally, you can look at the veins on the underside of your wrist. If your veins look greenish then you most likely have warm undertones. If your veins look bluish then you most likely have cool undertones.

Regarding which foundation would be best for you considering the issues you provided, you have a couple options. You may love Lift & Luminate Foundation because it has a creamy texture, dewy finish and is great for dry skin. However, we think you also may like Stay Perfect Foundation. This is equally suited to dry or oily skin and is our long-wear formula (it lasts up to 17 hours!), which we think you may prefer if you get a little sweaty. If you like the idea of Stay Perfect Foundation but are still concerned that your skin may be a little too dry, using a foundation primer like Airbrush Away Primer (Item #2501023) before applying your foundation may be the solution for you. This has ingredients that help smooth and blur the appearance of imperfections for a flawless look.

And we love helpful tips, so just in case you aren't already doing this: when you're in the middle of doing your makeup or have already finished and your face is sweating, it may help to just make sure you blot the excess moisture, not rub, so everything stays intact. We do wish you the very best and hope this information is helpful for you!

The lightest shade in Lift & Luminate Foundation is Cool Vanilla. This shade is fair with cool (pink) undertones. We hope this helps!

                      A:

Thank you for reaching out! In Lift & Luminate Foundation the only neutral shade is Deeply Beige, which is for medium-toned skin. The shade Wheat is a cool-neutral that is a little deeper than Deeply Beige but is also medium tone. The other shades in this formula are definitely warm- (yellow) or cool- (pink) toned. We hope this is helpful for you!
