      • Q:

I have dreadlocks, growing out my hair has caused ingrown hairs on the back of my neck and head. Will this product damage my hair if I use it on the in grown hairs on the back of my head?

          A:

The Ingrown Hair Treatment should be applied directly to the ingrown hair, as the three acids in the product will work to bring out the hair that is trapped. It is best to avoid your hair (your dreadlocks, in your case) as much as possible when applying the treatment. We do not think it will affect the dreadlock negatively, but better to try and avoid regardless. Hope this helps! :-)

      • Q:

I have ingrown hair scars (where the hair comes up) which makes me constantly have to shave so I was wondering would this product remove everything? And make my skin clear again

        • Staff Expert

          A:

Because this product features an exfoliating action (with glycolic, salicylic, and phytic acids), it can help to boost skin cell turnover to reduce the appearance of scarring and discoloration. These acids also help to keep the hair follicle clear to prevent ingrowns. We hope this extra info helps!

      • Q:

Can this product be used immediately after shaving? like you would an aftershave.

        • Staff Expert

          A:

Because this product contains a potent mix of exfoliating hydroxy acids including glycolic, salicylic, and phytic acids, we do not advise using immediately after shaving, as this could cause redness and irritation.
