Ask a Question

Tourmaline ceramic technology emits natural ions to eliminate frizz, powerful ceramic heater with ultra high heat levels 395f/200c, and 5 led temperature settings for every hair type. 1/2 in. to 1 in. tapered barrel.

The Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler uses tourmaline ceramic technology to help protect hair from damaging hot spots, reduce frizz and create soft, silky, curls. There are five LED temperature settings for every hair type:

  • Power/Low 285F - Delicate, thin, easy-to-curl hair
  • Medium 310F - Average-to-thick or treated hair
  • Med-High 330F - Thick or wavy hair
  • High/Max 360F - 400F - Hard-to-curl hair

For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair. Take a 1" wide section of hair, starting 2" from the scalp. Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel towards the cool tip. Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5-8 seconds depending on hair type (5 seconds for thin/delicate hair and 8 seconds for thicker/harder to curl hair), and then release. No clamp allows you to easily curl hair without kinks. To "set" the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.

Styling Tip: For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free flowing curls, roll more hair.

Bad for long hair. Terrible product design, why would you put button on the wand where youre using it?????? Im a senior when it comes to wands and this by far is the most difficult to use. It makes your hair smell bad, i used the second to last heat level and it still damaged my hair. Would not recommend. You get what you pay for in this product.

Comments about Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler:

I have never curled my own hair until this wand. I thought about going with the bedhead the store consultant recommended but when I got to the counter, the cashier said this was the easiest curling wand she'd ever seen (I was sold!) I think I did okay for my first time, but with my heavy hair, I definitely needed a versatile hairspray. Love it!

I have very long fine hair and am looking for a curling iron that will give me long loose curls . Will I get that with this curling iron, and which size barrel do you recommend for my hair length and type. Thanks for your help!

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

For looser curls, I would recommend a larger sized barrel curling iron, such as Conair's You Big Waves (Ulta SKU #2265174). This conical wand comes with two different sized interchangeable barrels. The wand will create loose, beachy waves. Try starting with a lower heat setting since you have fine hair.

Is this product dual voltage? I travel a lot between the US and Europe and ideally want something that doesn't require a converter.

                  A:

No, this Curling Wand is not dual voltage. This unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC. For a dual voltage curling wand, you can try Conair's line of Instant Heat Curling Irons, available in 3/4 inch-1 1/4 inch barrels.

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

The barrel of the curling wand gets hot to touch. The unit is hot when in use. Do not let heated surface touch eyes or skin. Do not place the heated unit directly on
any surface while it is hot or plugged in.

My hair is hard to curl and nothing makes curls stay. I hate using hairspray. Will the curls last a long time or will I need hairspray with this iron?

                1 answer

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

It depends on what type of hair you have. Although this wand has a high heat of 400 degrees, if your hair is hard to curl and does not usually hold a curl, you will most likely need to use hair spray to help lock in the style.

              • Q:

I can't decide weather to get this wand ore the XL wand. Which one gives you both a tight and loose curl? What are the pros and cons of each?
Asked on 3/7/2015 by Heh from Chicago, US

                1 answer

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

The XL wand gives a looser curl because it has a barrel size of 1-1/4" to 3/4 vs. the Curling Wand Styler that has a size of 1/2 in. to 1 in. The wands are pretty similar to each other, aside from the barrel size. The Curling Wand Styler does not have silicone strips on the barrel, while the XL version does. The silicone strips are used to help keep the hair in place when styling. Both wands use tourmaline, ceramic technology and have a high heat of 400 degrees. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For looser, free flowing curls, roll more hair. The XL Wand gives more of a wavy look, while the Curling Wand styler would provide more of a curl.

Dose it work good on short hair and dose it hold with thick hair

                1 answer

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

Yes, the Infiniti Curling Wand styler is good for use on all hair types, as long as your hair is long enough to be curled. For thicker, harder to curl hair, you can use a higher heat temperature and hold the wand in your hair for a longer period of time.

I have a chin length bob. My hair is fine and naturally wavy.

Should I get the 1/2 in to 1 in wand or the 3/4 in to 1-1/2 wand? I don't want super tight curls...
