Ask a Question

Tourmaline ceramic technology emits natural ions to eliminate frizz, powerful ceramic heater with ultra high heat levels 395f/200c, and 5 led temperature settings for every hair type. 1/2 in. to 1 in. tapered barrel.

The Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler uses tourmaline ceramic technology to help protect hair from damaging hot spots, reduce frizz and create soft, silky, curls. There are five LED temperature settings for every hair type:

  • Power/Low 285F - Delicate, thin, easy-to-curl hair
  • Medium 310F - Average-to-thick or treated hair
  • Med-High 330F - Thick or wavy hair
  • High/Max 360F - 400F - Hard-to-curl hair

For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair. Take a 1" wide section of hair, starting 2" from the scalp. Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel towards the cool tip. Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5-8 seconds depending on hair type (5 seconds for thin/delicate hair and 8 seconds for thicker/harder to curl hair), and then release. No clamp allows you to easily curl hair without kinks. To "set" the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.

Styling Tip: For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free flowing curls, roll more hair.

Comments about Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler:

This curling wand offers quick heat up and you barely have to leave it on your hair to get a curl, however, if you want big beachy waves, then this is the wand for you. This makes really tight spiral looking curls since the wand gets so skinny at the bottom and most of my long hair would end up on the bottom b/c it slides down the wand as you are rolling it on there. I did not care for the glove, it did not offer enough protection. I would definitely try a bigger Conair wand since this one worked well, it just didn't give me the curl I was looking for.

                        A:

For looser curls, I would recommend a larger sized barrel curling iron, such as Conair's You Big Waves (Ulta SKU #2265174). This conical wand comes with two different sized interchangeable barrels. The wand will create loose, beachy waves. Try starting with a lower heat setting since you have fine hair.

No, this Curling Wand is not dual voltage. This unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC. For a dual voltage curling wand, you can try Conair's line of Instant Heat Curling Irons, available in 3/4 inch-1 1/4 inch barrels.

The barrel of the curling wand gets hot to touch. The unit is hot when in use. Do not let heated surface touch eyes or skin. Do not place the heated unit directly on
any surface while it is hot or plugged in.

                        A:

It depends on what type of hair you have. Although this wand has a high heat of 400 degrees, if your hair is hard to curl and does not usually hold a curl, you will most likely need to use hair spray to help lock in the style.

I can't decide weather to get this wand ore the XL wand. Which one gives you both a tight and loose curl? What are the pros and cons of each?

                      1 answer

                      • Brand Expert

                        A:

The XL wand gives a looser curl because it has a barrel size of 1-1/4" to 3/4 vs. the Curling Wand Styler that has a size of 1/2 in. to 1 in. The wands are pretty similar to each other, aside from the barrel size. The Curling Wand Styler does not have silicone strips on the barrel, while the XL version does. The silicone strips are used to help keep the hair in place when styling. Both wands use tourmaline, ceramic technology and have a high heat of 400 degrees. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For looser, free flowing curls, roll more hair. The XL Wand gives more of a wavy look, while the Curling Wand styler would provide more of a curl.

Yes, the Infiniti Curling Wand styler is good for use on all hair types, as long as your hair is long enough to be curled. For thicker, harder to curl hair, you can use a higher heat temperature and hold the wand in your hair for a longer period of time.

                        A:

The Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler uses tourmaline ceramic technology to help protect hair from damaging hot spots, reduce frizz and create soft, silky, curls. We understand your concern regarding thin, color treated hair and have included the Temperature Setting Guide below for reference. There are five LED temperature settings for every hair type:
                        o Power/Low 285F - Delicate, thin, easy-to-curl hair
                        o Medium 310F - Average-to-thick or treated hair
                        o Med-High 330F - Thick or wavy hair
                        o High/Max 360F - 400F - Hard-to-curl hair
                        • For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair
o Take a 1" wide section of hair, starting 2" from the scalp
o Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel towards the cool tip
o Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5-8 seconds depending on hair type (5 seconds for thin/delicate hair and 8 seconds for thicker/harder to curl hair), and then release. No clamp allows you to easily curl hair without kinks.
o STYLING TIP: For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free flowing curls, roll more hair
o To "set" the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools
o Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire

Never leave your curling wand on and unattended. However, should you fail to turn the wand off, it will shut itself off automatically within 60 minutes.
