Comments about Hot Tools Hot Air Styler:

Received as birthday gift, but only lasted about 10 months using only couple times of week. After seeing the price of this product, I was shocked! Way too much for the quality! I would not purchase another and would not recommend to anyone as it just doesn't seem to work for very long. Think they need to take this one back to the drawing board! Hate my dear sister-in-law paid so much for it and now it doesn't even work. I don't have the heart to tell her...

It seemed that the product had been used before and they had put it back in the box. All the wraps were opened. The bristles on the brush were worn out.

It is noisy, not enough heat and useless!! so returning it back to the shop.

Comments about Hot Tools Hot Air Styler:

I was a little skeptical that I would like this product. I have short, fine hair that tends to go flat in humid weather no matter which mousses, root lifts or other products I used. Although this product did not eliminate the need for me to style my hair afterward with a curling iron, my hair had much more lift and my hairstyle tended to last longer after drying with it. At the end of the day, I was much more satisfied with how my hair has lasted through the day. I have always blow dried my hair using a round brush, but using the combination blowdryer/round brush tool along with mousse and root lift products was definitely more effective.

Comments about Hot Tools Hot Air Styler:

I love, Love, LOVE this styling tool! I used it to conveniently style my hair with little or no styling products. It perfectly styled my hair after I shampooed, conditioned and air-dried my hair to 90% dry. It was just as effective as my Infiniti Pro 2" Spin Air Brush and, perhaps, less damaging to my hair. It seemed to be a 5-star product! It was wonderful until the day that I turned on my Hot Tools Professional Hot Air Styler and it immediately overheated in five seconds or less. I turned it on and it fizzled out with the electrical "airplane landing" sound. I checked the lint filter as directed on the electrical cord tag and the filter was clean (no lint). It worked for less than one month with twice-weekly usage. I'm so sad.... Normally, I just toss things like this out...like a John Frieda air brush that never worked; however, in this case I'm bothered because I really liked it. I tossed the box about two weeks before it stopped working because it was so good that I didn't remotely think that it would present a problem. And, I can't find my Ulta receipt to return it. I would purchase another one, but I am concerned that another one would have the same problem. Alas...

I still have my original Hot Tools air styler with the gold colored middle. It has lasted for many years and still works pretty well, however the bristles seem to be slow breaking off. I bought this not needing all the other attachments, but it just didn't work as great as my old one. Also when using button that is supposed to protect your hair there wasn't any heat that came out(?) only air. Unfortunatley the only other one I see that they make has silicone bristles that would seem to get caught up in long hair. I wish they would put the original back on the market, as it was the best out there!

It can be used as a blow dryer if necessary, but it won't have the same drying time performance. It's intent is to be used on damp hair in order to help style it.

I just purchased this product yesterday and I am not sure it will do what I want. Does it give you a curl? The other thing I noticed was when I was trying it it seem to blow the hair instead of curling it. Do I have the right one if not can you suggest a better one. I have thick curly hair but I blow dry out to be straight and I would like to have a bounce and a slight curl to the hair.
