Comments about Philosophy Hope In A Jar Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20:

I have been searching for a good foundation and bought this on a whim because it was on sale and boy, do I love this stuff. I've tried everything, high end to drug store and between being super pale, oily, and acne prone, nothing was a good match. This is my perfect winter foundation. It covers my blemishes beautifully and doesn't look cakey if you have to layer it up over trouble spots. If you have bad skin texture, this doesn't cling to it. Unfortunately, my skin gets too oily with this in the humid TN summer weather, so it has retired until winter approaches. I'm almost through the whole bottle and will buy another when the time comes. I imagine this would be wonderful for dry skin.

I have very oily skin. This goes on smoothly and just looks like beautiful skin... for about an hour. The oil of my skin dissolved this away in patches. I've never seen my skin THAT oily looking under any other circumstances. This product was suggested to me by an Ulta employee. Normally I use IT cc cream with great results.

I haven't worn actual foundation in years. I've been using BB or CC creams. I hate the heavy feel of a foundation, especially 1/2 way through the day. I don't mind the light coverage of the creams most days but there are times I want full coverage. I received a sample of this foundation and liked it but the color was off. I ordered the next lighter color and love it! It goes on easily and I don't even notice it throughout the day. It's not really more expensive than other high end brands.

Either option would meet your criteria! The most noticeable difference is the consistency - liquid vs. loose mineral powder. Do you have a preference? Also, if you are seeking a 100% natural mineral formula, then bareMinerals Original Foundation is your pick! It is 100% mineral with no additives whatsoever. We recommend visiting your nearest ULTA Beauty store to test both products to determine which you prefer:
