The upgraded digital display featuring Tria's exclusive pulse counter lets you treat your face and body more confidently. Only Tria Laser 4X uses the same diode laser technology preferred by dermatologists to deliver permanent results at home.

*Study published in Lasers in Surgery and Medicine. Sept. 2012. Tria Pulse Counter.

Easy to use and with 5 comfort settings, Tria's laser for hair removal is guaranteed to deliver permanent results. Unlike other at-home hair removal methods, the Tria Hair Removal Laser uses the same laser technology used by professionals for in-office laser hair removal for permanent results in the comfort and privacy of the home, at a fraction of the cost.

Key Benefits:

  • Dermatologist recommended for permanent results.
  • Clinically proven to eliminate the need for regular shaving and waxing.
  • FDA-cleared.
  • Proven safe and effective.

Redesigned/upgraded digital display: The digital user-interface window easily guides you through treatments and helps troubleshoot errors. View 5-comfort settings, battery charge, a skin sensor indicator and the lock status of your device. The upgraded display of the Tria Laser 4X also features Tria's exclusive pulse counter, allowing you to track the number of pulses administered within any single treatment area to target the optimum number of pulses and ensure complete coverage accuracy.

Built-in skin sensor: Tria Laser 4X has a built-in skin sensor safety feature to automatically sense and check your skin tone. If the Tria Laser 4X is suitable for you to use, it will emit a series of beeps and unlock.

Ergonomic design: A sleek, hand-held design and slim handle make treatments easy. And the angled tip gives you enhanced visibility to deliver laser light with expert precision to the treatment area.

FDA-cleared: Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is FDA-cleared. This means that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared the Tria Laser 4X to be marketed as safe and effective. This stringent clearance was received after the FDA determined that Tria has conducted sufficient valid scientific evidence and that the Tria Laser 4X is substantially the same as professional laser hair removal devices.

Clinically proven safe + effective: Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is clinically proven to be a safe and effective at-home laser hair removal device. There's no need for goggles or concern. Tria's patented technology means that Tria Laser 4X will not damage your eyes or skin when used as directed.

Treatment times + results: Treatment times vary based on the size of the treatment area. Smaller areas like your underarms take a few minutes and larger areas, like the upper leg, can take 25-30 minutes. Start seeing results with just 2 treatments, and imagine permanent freedom from endless shaving and waxing in as few as 3 months when used weekly.

*Wheeland, MD, FACP, Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, 2007.

When treating weekly for three months, you should expect the following results:

  • After your first month: Clinical studies have shown up to 70% reduction after just two treatments. (On occasion, some users experience mild redness that quickly dissipates within 24 hours after your first treatment.)
  • After 2-3 months of treatment: Hair re-growth will begin to appear lighter and finer. You will begin to see a visible reduction in the amount of re-growth, especially in areas where hair growth tends to be dense.
  • After 3 months of treatment: Hair follicles that have been deactivated by the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X will no longer grow hair.
  • Continue to use the Tria Laser 4X as necessary for touch ups until your skin is smooth and you're free of the endless hassles of shaving and waxing.

Tria Hair Removal Laser 4x will free you from the endless hassles of shaving and waxing. The FDA-cleared Tria Laser 4X is convenient and easy to use; just follow these three steps:
    1. Prepare: Cleanse, shave and towel-dry your skin. This will allow the laser treatment to be most effective since the Tria Laser 4x works on the hair inside the follicle, under the surface of the skin. Next turn it on. Unlock the laser by locating the skin sensor (red light) on the device base and hold it against the skin you wish to treat. This will ensure that it's suitable to use on your skin tone.

    2. Customize: The sensation of the Tria Laser 4x varies, depending on the person and treatment area. Some users may feel the sensation of a rubber band snapping on the skin. Others may feel a warm, prickling sensation. Start at a low treatment level (1 or 2) and then increase by one treatment level at a time until you've reached the highest treatment level comfortable to you. The higher the treatment level, the faster and better the results.

    3. Apply: Establish a treatment area and place the laser tip on the area of skin you wish to treat, making sure that it is flat on your skin. Hold the laser tip in place until you hear two beeps. After the beeps, just lift and place the laser tip on skin so that it overlaps the previous area by about inch. Make sure that the laser tip slightly overlaps the area that you just treated. Use the new Pulse Counter on the upgraded digital display of your Tria Laser 4X as a guide to achieve the best results.
Precautions: It will not work on darker skin tones or grey, blonde or red hair. The skin sensor will determine if the laser is suitable for your client's skin tone. Designed to work on fair to light brown skin tones and light brown to black hair.

Comments about Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X:

      Hello Ladies,
I am reviewing this for all the ladies out there who ask whether they can use Tria on medium brown skin color.
I am an Asian of medium brown skin tone and falls within NC44 (Mac) and Syracuse(Nars-All Day weightless Luminous) Foundations and am very much able to use it for my skin color.
But I guess I just managed to cross the Tria skin tone Compatibility check on margins. Its so easy to use and yes , it does hurt. As of now , I have had my 3 treatments and I do see burnt hair coming out , which thus means I need to exfoliate often and am only able to tolerate till Level 3 . But I am happy with the results so far and would suggest ladies within my skin tone range can go for it.

Comments about Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X:

I believe this item to be a classic case of 'it works for most but not for all.' I purchased this item in February 2016. I have struggled with facial hair, of varying corseness for 20 years. I have sought out professional laser hair removal, prescription meds, and other remedies. My typical day revolved around 20 minutes in the bathroom every morning plucking and scouting for black hair, and an hour at night doing the same. I would never allow my significant other to touch me on my face as well. Pictures would often pick up a 5 o'clock shadow and I would consistently blame it on melasma, knowing full well it was hair.
This was my at home option, to see if it would help me. This product has decreased my facial hair, specifically around my chin and upper lip, by approximately 80%. My family members and friends have noticed a significant reduction in 'skin discoloration' and I'm much more confident. I have had extremely positive results with this tool, and would recommend it for individuals that have excessive hair. I feel that if I were more consistent with my routine, I would have even better results. I realize there are some negative comments, and people have not had the success as I have; but in all fairness, it did help me so much.

If you have ever had professional laser hair removal done and want to consider this as an alternative, just don't do it! The product is inefficient and does not work. I had laser done >10 years ago and wasn't sure I should splurge on a home remedy. I was right. I returned the product and went back to laser where the results have been fabulous. Side note: caucasian, naturally curly, coarse hair, medium skin with red hues, brown hair.

Comments about Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X:

After having a successful professional hair removal on one area, I was eager to have more done, but couldn't afford to do all the areas I wanted. I had hoped that Tria would be the solution. According to their description, I am the ideal candidate with light skin and darker hair. I have owned this product for over a year and have been disappointed. Using this product is time intensive. First you need to shave the area/s (the closer the shave, the less pain). It offers a recommended number of laser zaps for each area. Doing the recommended number takes a lot of time. I could easily spend an hour getting ready and zapping just one area. Then you need to make time to do this every other week. It takes longer the more areas you work on. The professional one, took ten minutes and I saw amazing results after two times. This takes much longer and the results have not been great. I also used it to catch a few stray hairs in the area I had already had professionally done and now it seems to have more hair. It says in the instructions that it may encourage hair growth and I would not recommend using in an area previously done. If I could have done it again, I would have put my money towards professional laser hair removal and saved my pennies.

              Don't Buy

Comments about Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X:

So I bought this in December 2014, so I had this little over a year. I didn't use it as often as a liked because of my hectic schedule but today I went to use and it wasn't responding to my skin. I called customer service and they said my option would be to purchase it for 50% off and get a 2 year extended warranty instead of the 1 year they provide when you first buy it full price. It almost seems as if the device is meant to last only a little more than a year so that you will not have time to replace it but need to buy another one. Save your money people! I saved up for this and now its useless to me.

I have been using the Tria 4X for SIX MONTHS on a weekly basis. While it has taken care of some of the coarse, dark hair on my upper lip and chin, there are still plenty more that it doesn't seem to be phasing. Their return policy is 3 months (only 1 month if you buy from ULTA), and for me the three months was still not enough time to determine if it would work or not. If I could return it now, I would. Instead, I'll just keep zapping away on a weekly basis in the hopes that it will eventually take care of my issue. I predict I will use up the allotted 9,000 pulses in no time. :-(

Comments about Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X:

I'm too busy to shave, and as a graduate student, too poor to afford actual in spa laser hair removal. So hen I found myself with $100 gift card to ulta and a 5x the points promotion for my one year as an ultamate rewards member, I thought why not? So I bought it. I've been using it for about 50 days. And contrary to other reviews, ulta will take the device back if you return it within their 60 day window. I'm smelling some bogus reviews on here! Aside from that, I've done probably, I don't know, 7-10 sessions on my legs and maybe 4 or 5 on my bikini area. My bikini area is totally hairless in the spots where I tria'd. My legs are missing quarter-sized patches of hair literally all over. It's not gone, but some of my leg hair is blonde and it's pretty difficult to completely cover your legs with the tiny laser window without missing some spots, so some of it is probably user error too. Either way, it's for sure working! I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I'm telling all my friends. If you're on the fence, get it! Try it. Use it weekly rather than biweekly. If you don't see a difference, return it. Ulta is super nice about returns.

                            A:

The Hair Removal Laser is designed to work on naturally light brown to black body hair in the area you wish to treat. Because the Hair Removal Laser works with the dark pigment in the hair, lighter hair colors such as white, blond, red, or gray will not absorb enough of the laser's energy to disable the hair follicle.
Note: hair color in one area can be darker or lighter than hair color in another area, so check the hair in the area you wish treat.

At some point the battery will stop recharging and it will stop pulsing, at that point if you can't replace the battery and there's no cartridge refills does that now I mean that you have to buy an entirely new unit.

The TRIA Hair Removal Laser does work on coarse, dark hair, which is typically produced by PCOS. But it does not provide permanent results, because PCOS can cause the hair follicles to reactivate and grow hair again. For women with PCOS, laser hair removal is one method of maintaining freedom from unwanted hair, rather than a permanent solution.

How many treatments is the laser good for, before having to be replaced? Like, how many times can I use it before the laser is no longer effective and needs to be replaced?

The Hair Removal Laser 4X will fully charge approximately 300 times. This is equivalent to approximately 90,000 pulses in each laser. The 300 charges/90,000 pulses are enough to treat the entire body for a typical user.

                            A:

Do not use TRIA Hair Removal Laser on dark parts of your skin, like tattoos, dark brown or black spots (such as large freckles, birthmarks, or moles), or skin that is red or swollen from a previous treatment. Any dark skin may absorb too much laser light, which can injure the skin. Please consult your health care professional concerning use of the HRL 4X on scars / scar tissue.

The Tria Hair Removal Laser is not cleared for use on medium brown, dark brown or black skin tones as darker skin types may absorb too much laser light, which can cause serious injury to the skin.
