I have medium brown hair, died my hair to make it one shade darker and it turned my hair black. Bought color oops to just go back to my natural color which is what it advertises to do. Nope!! Now I have bright orange hair.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

I like that it didn't damage my hair as bleach would have. Need to do a second application as all the black didn't come out. It's very easy to do yourself at home, unlike some other color removers which you really need someone else to apply for you.

Smell is awful and lasts for a long time. Only made the color lighter, not back to natural color. Made it into a ugly color. Takes forever to do. Not worth it AT ALL, do Not buy! smell does not go away! getting hair appointment immediately because of this

My hair is stained with manic panic for several months. This did not get any of it out what so ever. I have very fine hair and nothing tends to work with this hair type.

Worked great on my dyed brown hair

                  By Sheba611

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

The description is misleading. Color Oops will not take you back to natural color. Your hair color will be blonde to orange when the process is completed. Like the picture of the girl on the box. I wanted to dye my hair dark blonde. I used the extra conditioning version. I got rid of the brown dye and was left with medium blonde hair. My natural hair color is gray. I used the root method to color my hair dark blonde. The processing will leave your once colored hair very porous and it will soak up any new color like a sponge. So I left the new color on my roots for 30 minutes and than colored the rest and left on for 10 minutes. I now have the Dark blonde hair same as the model on the box. Very happy. I subtracted a star due to the smell and lack of conditioning. This product will not work on direct dyes.

So after reading all the comments I could find, I decided to give it a try. I've been coloring since my hair went gray at 21 so it's be pretty much dyed for 30 yrs.The basic color I use is a dark or medium blond (what my real hair color was "in the olden days"). Had the daughter help me out,LOTS of rinsing, I probably went over my water allotment for the month (LOL). Anyway, I had stopped coloring about 3 months ago so 1/2 of it was salt & pepper, balance blond. After all said & done, all it did was lighten remaining color by one shade. It didn't seem worth the time, effort & water used-bummed :(
