Did NOT curl my hair

Pros

  • One of the only curlers available in this size

Cons

  • Does not heat up quickly
  • Hair did not hold curl

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I have other (smaller barrel) curlers and wands that work great so I know it's not my hair that's the problem. The size and design are great and after 5 or 10 mins it is very hot, however the curl does not stay for some reason. Several youtube videos say the same thing, so I tried different methods (clean hair, dirty hair, mousse/no mousse, hairspray, etc) to no avail. Will be returning and finding another 2-2.5 in barrel.

I was very excited to get this curling iron to create tight spirals however the damage it did to my hair was not worth it at all flat iron much better should've stuck to my Chi I feel like I need to get my ends trimmed after using this curling iron

Would you recommend the curler with a clamp or as a wand? Which one is easier to use?

This is a personal preference. In my opinion the wand is easier to use. You could search for tutorial online and see what might work better for you.

I am leaving for Europe in a couple weeks, and this is the curling iron I currently use, and am in love with.

Is this a dual voltage curling iron? Is it safe to use in Europe with just a converter?

Any advise would be appreciated! Thank you!

                        A:

You can use the 1 1/2" or 2" Gold Spring Curling Iron. To achieve the beach wave once you release your hair from the curling iron pull the curl down while it is still hot so the curl loosens up.
