Ask a Question
Glycolic Acid Toner by Peter Thomas Roth is a toning complex that gently removes dead surface skin cells to help minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. This clarifying toner helps visibly decrease the look of pore size and smooth out rough skin texture. It effectively removes excess oil, dirt, and sebum, and restores skin to its natural pH allowing skincare products that are applied afterwards to perform better.

Allantoin, chamomile, and aloe vera help soothe and protect skin from irritation, while sodium PCA leaves skin lightly and naturally moisturized. Formulated with glycolic acid at 10 percent, lactic acid, citric acid, and witch hazel, this product helps minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving a healthier, younger-looking complexion. No Parabens. No Sulfates. No Phthalates.
Apply with a cleansing pad or cotton ball as needed. May also be used as a toner after washing with cleanser.

Precautions: Use only as directed. Avoid contact with the eyes. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency and duration. If irritation occurs discontinue use and consult a physician. Limit sun exposure after use of this product and apply sunscreen.

Hesitated to buy because of the price but I love it! It leaves my skin feeling clean and looking more toned. The tingles are a bit annoying but I can live with for what it does for my skin. This would be perfect for acne prone skin. Every other day is best otherwise it's over drying.

Comments about Peter Thomas Roth Online Only Glycolic Acid Toner:

I use it 3 -4 times a week. I also use other mild and gentle toners too. I tend to do that a lot with my skin because I am 38 and sometimes go through days that I need moisture and days that I can work my skin with more aggressive products to give me great skin results. This is a product that has improved skin over all texture, given radiance, and has actually given t plump. But if you have dry/ combo skin and are in your late 30s like me I do not recommend to use it daily because it can cause some irritation. But if you can coordinate it in your routine using it in the days you exfoliate ( i.e.: 3 x a week) then I think you will benefit beautifully from this product

I was having trouble washing off physical sunscreen without rubbing my skin and using soap while effective was so harsh on my face even Vanicream soap, so I purchased this in hopes that it would help after I used my cereva cleanser, it not only helped but it didn't irritate my sensitive allergies and cleared up some acne as well. I use retin a follwing or differen gel at night and it is very nice so far! I hope they keep this product and eventually make it available for in store purchase as well.

Do you know if this works for people with combo skin? The area I need to fade the acne marks, my skin is dry, but the other parts are oily.

              • Brand Expert

                A:

This can be drying so if the areas you need to treat are dry, you should try the glycolic 10% moisturizer instead.

                A:

Yes, you can. You should cleanse first and then apply the toner and leave it on skin. However, both these products are highly active and could be a lot for some skin types. I recommend that you build up from 1-2 times a week using both to more often seeing how much your skin can tolerate.
