ugh.. irritating

By nat

Comments about Maybelline Gigi Hadid Jetsetter Palette:

This had the potential to be a big success for those darker light skinned to medium dark skinned men/women. The color of packaging is pretty and the colors in the palette are appealing to me.. I am light medium ski w a yellow-gold undertone, mac nc30-35.

what I like about palette:
I love coral blushes, and it has the perfect amount of pigment for a blush for me.
I really like The bronzer / contour shade. it is a nice neutral undertone, so u can use it to bronze and contour (without it being too warm to contour or too ashy for bronzing).
The highlight is amazing, as well as the small eyeshadow highlight.. I use both to highlight my face and I love them. the formulas on those 4 items are great.
I like the tinted lip balms.. they are very comfy to wear and I like the shades.

what sucks:
pretty much everything else. the layout is RIDICULOUS. there is no way to get a normal blush and bronzer brush in those pans without cross mixing shades and making a disaster.. I have to use smaller brushes to apply the powder then go in w big fluffy brushes to blend. it's a pain, and time consuming.
The concealer, color and formula .. HORRIBLE. dry, cakey, no coverage, wear funny.
3 of the 4 eye shadows (minus icy white highlight shade) are powdery, patchy, no pigment.
The brushes are a JOKE. the mascara looks terrible in the bright yellow packaging. there should be a matching baby pink mascara.

overall, there is alot of unused space in the Large palette they could have utilized to make the pans for the face products bigger and then I would be ok with spending the $30 on this for just those 3 products.. I didn't experience patchy ness or problems blending the face products, just alot of aggregation not mixing powders on my brushes..

I'm going to keep the palette, bc I keep it in my tool box at school so I can touch up or do a quick look if I am rushed in the morning, but I am considering depotting and putting the products I like into pans and into a z palette.

I bought almost all of the collection. Maybelline showed how money hungry they are- bumping prices up and the quality is not there.

Not very practical

Comments about Maybelline Gigi Hadid Jetsetter Palette:

Concealers are worthless. They cover nothing.
Lipcolors are pretty but the don't last long. Great neutral eyeshadows long lasting. Highlighter Bronzer and mascara are the best things in this pallet. Blush is ok...just a little too bright for me.

I loveveverything about this palette. The blush, bronzer, highlighter. The eyeshadows, lip balms and concealers! The mini mascara and the brushes. It is perfect for a light to medium skin tone. Im not sure how it would be for darker skin tones though. She should have came out with 2 palettes, one for fair/med (already did) and med/dark tones.

Maybelline is a drugstore brand with high end prices????

By Aridele

from Philadelphia

Comments about Maybelline Gigi Hadid Jetsetter Palette:

The whole point about drugstore makeup is that you get what you pay for. maybellines eyeshadows are awful first of all, so why are they making people pay a high end price for a terrible value? maybelline, know your place in the makeup world. You are a DRUGSTORE company. Your products are OK. But honestly you're ripping everyone off by raising your prices and slapping some girls name on your products. Does putting this girls name on your products make the quality even better? obviously not by looking at the Gigi Hadid reviews so far. I'd buy this for a 5 year old girl who wanted to play with makeup if the price was $5, but other than that, this is a terrible buy. Save your money girls and go buy some quality shadows at Ultas rival store, they wont let me write the name but it begins with an S and ends with ora. That's right ulta, I spelled it out so you couldn't flag it.

This product is so overpriced. You are paying for the name on the palette.

I liked it.

Comments about Maybelline Gigi Hadid Jetsetter Palette:

I purchased this for a trip. I hadn't flown in many years and was nervous about packing my makeup. I also did not want to risk breaking a beloved $50 pallet.

You should know that I don't know or care who GiGi is and I don't like maybelline products.

First, the price is too high. I would buy this again if it was on at least a 30% off sale. It would be great for a young girl just learning to do her makeup. I am very fair and the concealer is way too dark for me and doesn't cover well. I am 40 though and need a something like drywall spackle for concealer. The bronzer is a bit darker than I like. The highlighter makes up for it. The highlighter has the perfect amount of shimmer with this iridescent pink glow. The blush is very nice but the fallout is unreal and it gets in the other colors. The blush is bright so it only takes a little. The lip gloss is beautiful for the 5 minutes it stays on. Once you take a drink it is gone. The eyeshadow is great. It goes on smooth and blends well and the colors are neutral. They grow color is absurd and much like a highlighter. You have these nice matte colors for the lid then BAM a sparkle for the brow. The black for liner is okay. Fallout is pretty bad and after traveling the colors are sprinkled on each other. Packaging is pretty but very bulky. I liked a lot about this but disliked a lot too. I would not purchase if you're not very fair.

Pretty colors, but not mindblowing

By kudosmiami

Comments about Maybelline Gigi Hadid Jetsetter Palette:

I don't hate this palette, but it isn't as *mindblowing* as I was hoping it would be. The packaging feels a little bit flimsy, though the overall branding, design, and pretty blush-hued packaging are super desirable. Was super surprised that the case is essentially cardboard, though- these corners are going to crush if not carefully taken care of.

The shadow colors are standard; the black is pretty patchy and not highly pigmented, but I actually like a thinner black so I'm okay with it. The lavender lid color is actually gorgeous, too bad it isn't a very high quality formula. In a better formulation with more pigmentation and staying power (and less fallout) this hue would be magical. Blush and contour colors are fine, some people aren't liking the hot, bright coral blush hue but I'm actually into hot corals right now so I love it as a cheek pop. The pink highlight is also fun, but I wish the glitter was slightly more fine. The contour is a bit too cool for me, as well. None have any remarkable payoff to speak of, most are patchy and disappear with vigorous brush blending. As for concealers, these are only for light skin tones, and there is no option at all for women of color. Fenty did a WAY better job of inclusivity with their range of tones.

I have a pretty big gripe about the company's choice to throw a random Volum'Express mascara in here. Why on earth did they do that? It just looks like an afterthought, I didn't want one of these and honestly the harsh yellow packaging ruins the pretty impact of the coordinated colors in the rest of the palette. I had to buy the Gigi fiber mascara separately, and it's a full size so won't fit in the space where the Volum'Express is. They really should have put a mini branded mascara in there, it would have really boosted the perceived value of this palette. As it is, 3 (3.5) stars, I'd have rather paid about $12.99 for this.
