Comments about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo:

I started using this a little bit less than a week ago and have noticed a difference in the breakouts I was experiencing. I use it in conjunction with the face wash and toner in the Effaclar system. It sits well under makeup. I highly suggest a good moisturizer with this because it really dried my skin out at first. Overall a good product and I will purchase this again.

Truly Works!

Comments about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo:

I am 27 and have been dealing with some major hormonal outbreaks. I've literally felt like I tried EVERYTHING. Well this stuff actually helped me out so much. I mixed this with another product and applied over my breakouts and it's working!! I do advise you apply a HEAVY moisturizer because this stuff will suck the LIFE out of your face. But hey it does do what it says.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo:

I have been trying to get rid of stubborn black heads and little bumps on my cheeks and chin for months. Nothing I used ever brought them to the surface. I have oily, sensitive skin with large pores and products I tried only made it worse. After the first night of use, the following morning the black heads had finally emerged and the little bumps had flattened. And after a few days of use, it even helped fade the hyperpigmentation left behind. It is drying, so I'd recommend adding an oil free moisturizer to your routine.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo:

I tried this product and realized it doesn't compare to the one manufactured in France (and not sold in the US), Effaclar Duo +. The latter version also works as a moisturizer and is better absorbed into the skin. This one has an unpleasant bleachy smell and ultimately irritated my skin and didn't do much other than that. I just ordered Effaclar Duo + on Jet and I'm praying I won't receive this one. I'll post an updated review once I receive it if you're interested in trying it.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo:

Easy to use. Just apply SMALL amount to affected area. Will dry out skin if you use too much/too often and skin will peel. However I am all for getting rid of acne spots and this stuff actually works! Way better than drug store brands and this bottle last a LONG time.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo:

Obsessed. Never used a more effective acne treatment, don't see myself switching anytime soon. It's a little intense but you can control how drying it is, it is NOT irritating and the exfoliating aspect of it actually makes your skin feel lovely.

I was prescribed a benzoyl peroxide by my dermatologist that was really expensive. After I ran out I switched to this since it was the only thing on the market I could find comparable. It works pretty well but if you put too much on it will dry your skin.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo:

I apply this to any pimples I have on my face, even the deep cystic acne that has yet to come to a head. Putting this treatment on cystic acne resolves them within two days. I would recommend using a moisturizer because it does dry the areas it's been applied to. I usually use sunscreen as a daytime moisturizer and for nighttime I use a sleeping pack or snail cream. I love this stuff and has helped my skin clear and smooth out. I also use la roche-posay effaclar duo medicated gel cleanser, effaclar purifying gel, and effaclar clarifying solution. Great for people with oily, acne prone skin.
