Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Mask:

After reading the many reviews on this product, I thought this mask would smell absolutely terrible! To be honest, the mask does smell bad, but if your nose isn't super sensitive and your have a regular tolerance then you'll be fine! The results are worth the smell in my opinion. I've only used this mask 3 times and I'm already seeing results. It's even helping with my hormonal acne which most products don't help with. This mask was easy to apply with a tough foundation brush, but not so easy to take off. I would recommend taking it off in the shower with a wash cloth and then washing your face with a cleanser that smells good because the mask leaves your skin with the bad smell the mask has. do this mask for 20 minutes 2-3 times a week and your skin will thank you!

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Mask:

I loved this!! I tried it a couple days ago because I was getting extremely oily, hoping that anything would cure it. I put it on right before I went to bed because I usually am the oiliest when I just wake up, so I wanted to put it to the real (aka morning wake-up) test. It worked magic! Instant results. It really has honestly cleared the oil up for days. It was super gentle on the skin and came off really easily too! Absolutely love.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Mask:

Great with 10% benzoyl peroxide and an AHA. It doesn't work very well if you don't use it with other products. I only use it as a spot treatment.

I use an aha first, let it sit a few minutes, then Persagel, let it sit a few minutes, and then use the drying mask on top to keep the other treatments from coming off while I sleep. You have to let the mask dry before you fall asleep or it will rub off during the night. My cystic acne bumps are usually a lot smaller the next morning and a good bit of the time it makes them come to a head. This product doesn't smell great, but it isnt intolerable. I would sell a kidney for clear skin, so the smell is a small price to pay for clearer and better skin the next morning.

This product worked even after the first use! My skin is less red and my pores are smaller! I bought it this morning and already love it. I paired it with formula 10.0.6 best face forward cleanser, Clinique clairfiying lotion, and Mario badescus aloe rose facial spray. These products are all great and work fantastic.
The mask does have a harsh smell that smells like tire rubber but after a few seconds of having it on you don't even notice it. After putting it on my face I use the clarifying lotion to make sure I got it all off.

      • Q:

i got samples of the drying mask and drying cream but how do i know which one to use and when? i tend to break out quite a bit and i know the drying cream is for under the surface bumps but im not sure what those are, i just call everything that shows up on my face a pimple.
Asked on 5/5/2017 by cynthia from long beach, ca

        • Brand Expert

          A:

Our Drying Cream can be used on small clusters of acne or red/inflamed breakouts just under the surface of the skin. The Drying Mask can be used 1-2 times per week on acne prone or oily skin to help reduce congestion, oil and breakouts.

I have acne, combination and my skin is very sensitive. Will this product dry or burn my skin? I also tried other mask that made me breakout will this mask do the same?

        • Brand Expert

          A:

The Drying Mask can be quite drying and works best with oily skin. It is our strongest deep cleaning mask. Our Flower and Tonic Mask is a more gentle deep cleaning mask that might better suit your skin. http://www.ulta.com/flower-tonic-mask?productId=xlsImpprod6200735

Can this product be used overnight as a spot treatment?
Asked on 12/26/2016 by Meg from Michigan, US

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

We would not recommend using the Drying Mask as a spot treatment. Our Acne Repair Kit features a collection of spot treatments: Drying Cream (small under the surface bumps), Drying Lotion (whiteheads), and Buffering Lotion (deep, cystic acne). You can purchase them together in the kit or separately to spot treat the different types of blemishes you may have.

        • Brand Expert

          A:

The Drying Mask should be applied to freshly cleaned, slightly damp skin, focusing on areas of concern. After 15-20 minutes, the mask should be rinsed thoroughly with warm water. For best results, follow with Special Cucumber Lotion to ensure the mask is thoroughly removed.

Our Drying Mask is best applied at night. Apply a thin layer of mask on clean skin, avoiding eye area. Wait 15-20 minutes and rinse thoroughly with warm water. After removing the mask, you can follow with your usual toner and moisturizer.

Hi, is this product more effective than the drying cream? Which one works faster and better?
Asked on 5/29/2016 by Dalia from New Haven, CT

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

It depends on the type and severity of your breakouts. The Drying Mask is extremely effective as an all over treatment to help shrink and dry out blemishes - and is great for wide-spread problems. Drying Cream is a spot treatment that is not rinsed off. We recommend that Drying Cream be applied sparingly to small patches of under-the-surface bumps.
