Drying Cream

Item #: 2209806 Size: 0.5 oz

Ask a Question
Acne cream that conceals! Drying Cream is an effective treatment to dry up small under the surface bumps and pimples. Just a few dabs smoothed on the erupted areas prevent pimples from getting larger and spreading out of control. Aloe rich cream conceals and heals erupted pimples.
Apply sparingly on pimples by dabbing with fingertip until cream blends into the skin. Best when applied after moisturizer, before make-up.
Deionized Water (Aqua), Zinc Oxide, Aloe (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice) Gel, Cetyl Alcohol, Lemon (Citrus Medica Limonum) Extract, Colloidal Sulfur, Ervol, Octyl Palmitate, Ichthammol, Polysorbate 80, Titanium Dioxide, Polyglycerylmethacrylate (and) Propylene Glycol.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I got this on a recommendation for my butterfly rash for lupus and it worked so well! It was incredibly soothing and i helped any surrounding acne. However, this might not be the best option if you have dry patches. It is now one of my lupus staples, totally addicted!

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

Overall this is a great product! It's very gentle and clears up smaller break outs with ease. My only con is its not very powerful on bigger spots. I recommend this for people with sensitive skin.

Cons

    Best Uses

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I never had severe teenage acne. Last summer, at age 26, I suddenly developed severe acne - deep cysts and tiny bumps all over my cheeks, jawline and neck. I've been using Proactive + morning and night for about 3 weeks. It has helped calm down my face, but by no means has cleared it. large pustules continue to emerge and I constantly have tiny bumps everywhere. After reading reviews, and being skeptical, I gave it a try. YES. I can't believe how much smoother my face is this morning. I put it on last night and 80% of those tiny bumps are gone. Wow. Excited to keep using this to see if it will help long term. Really amazed so far.

    awesome cream!!

    By meme21

    from California

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

this cream works really good for clogged annoying pores! only downside is that it did leave a bit of a white film. the directions from ulta say to use after moisturizer and before makeup. makeup did cover the film and the bumps appeared smaller like that. I think I will just use this as an over night treatment instead. overall great product!

This product is amazing! I got a sample size in a acne starter kit and just a tiny amount on a new pimple every night for three nights and the pimple was completely gone. No joke!

    • slightly hard to blend

    Best Uses

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

Honestly bought this product on a whim just to see what it would do but I actually like it! I think this product does well to reduce small bumps on the skin, and when a pimple began to form I put the cream on it overnight and it reduced it to nothing! I will say it is a thick product so a little goes a long way and it is somewhat hard to completely blend into the skin like the packaging says it should do. this product does not dry out your skin as well ( I have oily skin but I'm pretty sure any skin type could use it). I also have medium complexion and the product is light beige so when I try to blend it in you can still see the light product on my skin because the colors don't match so I would suggest wearing it overnight ( I haven't tested it under makeup yet, not sure if that would work well). Overall, I'd say give it a try if you have small acne bumps. for severe acne it would probably reduce the inflammation and redness but it might take longer to achieve the full effect.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I now use this as a daily not so moisturizer but in place of my moisturizer to clear aggivating acne on my cheeks and chin. (I do use it all over my face as well.) I LOVE this product and recently returned some items I didn't necessarily need to get this product so I don't run out. I'm a budget buyer and this is one product I definitely budget for! If you have trouble spot acne, I would recommend using this nightly just on the troubled areas. It does dry the skin, but it's better than having acne! (IMO - drying of the skin is NOT a con, it isn't called drying cream for nothing ;) --- I had to choose something.) Great for oily skin!

I just received this product yesterday and it seems as if it separates to a small amount of dark brown liquid. I feel as if i have to mix it thoroughly before I can apply. Once I apply I am able to blend and it dries fine. It has a strong smell as well. Is this all normal?

These are all normal characteristics of this unique product. Also - with the Drying Cream, a little goes a long way!

        • Q:

I have combo/oily skin. Just recently have I gotten control of my acne, so I only have one or two break outs once in a while that goes away after a few days. However, I still have under the surface bumps on my forehead that I can't get rid of completely..
I use a green tea facial wash with my Clarisonic, use the Glycolic Acid Toner to tone, Murad's Rapid Age Spot and Pigmentation Serum to target my old acne scars, and an SPF moisturizer in the morning/regular moisturizer at night.
Would I be able to use this drying lotion at night in addition to my skincare regime? Also, would you recommend incorporating either the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser or the Acne Facial Cleanser? What would be better for my skin needs?

I have small breakouts, some whiteheads, some pimples, would the drying lotion be the better than the cream

          1 answer

          • Brand Expert

            A:

The Drying Lotion is formulated to be used as a spot treatment to help shrink whiteheads overnight. The Drying Cream targets small, under-the-surface blemishes. This product helps to clear up acne-prone areas, instead of just a spot treatment.

Closed comedones are bumps on your skin caused by blogged pores. A proper skin care regimen, along with regular use of an exfoliant will work to reduce the number and frequency of these types of breakouts. Our Botanical Exfoliating Scrub is a great exfoliant to add into your skin care routine several times a week. http://www.ulta.com/botanical-exfoliating-scrub?productId=xlsImpprod12491005

We do recommend that you use our Drying Cream very sparingly - a little goes a long way. When applied at night, you should wash your face in the morning with your favorite cleanser.
