Acne cream that conceals! Drying Cream is an effective treatment to dry up small under the surface bumps and pimples. Just a few dabs smoothed on the erupted areas prevent pimples from getting larger and spreading out of control. Aloe rich cream conceals and heals erupted pimples.
Apply sparingly on pimples by dabbing with fingertip until cream blends into the skin. Best when applied after moisturizer, before make-up.
Deionized Water (Aqua), Zinc Oxide, Aloe (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice) Gel, Cetyl Alcohol, Lemon (Citrus Medica Limonum) Extract, Colloidal Sulfur, Ervol, Octyl Palmitate, Ichthammol, Polysorbate 80, Titanium Dioxide, Polyglycerylmethacrylate (and) Propylene Glycol.

Gentle & effective, but looks awful & smells worse

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

What this is:
A gentle, non-drying cream for treating problem areas (not individual blemishes) to treat mild to moderate acne, bumps, and clogged pores. I'm prone to mild to moderate hormonal acne on my jaw and little bumps on my cheeks, and I get inflammatory acne along with my food allergies. This doesn't irritate inflamed skin, and I use a thin layer as a night mask a couple times a week to clear up blemishes.

What this is not:
1. It's not a spot treatment. This works best if you apply a thin layer over an area prone to blemishes (jaw, cheek, etc.) on a regular basis. It's not great for drying up a single, large pimple.
2. It's not a concealer. If you are, in fact, a vampire, this would be an appropriate color concealer for you. If you have blood or melanin, this will be grey and too pale. It's also chalky and cakey and doesn't wear well under makeup.
3. It's not wearable around other humans. In addition to being chalky, pale, and thick, this is sulfur-based, so it smells god awful.

love love love!

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

love this product. it's meant to be used for breakouts that haven't developed a head, like a blackhead or whithead, but for the deeper pimples that feel like little bumps under the skin. I put it on at night after I've done my skin care routine and I can tell a difference in the morning. excellent product. a little goes a long way.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I've been using the famous drying lotion for a while now, and recently got the acne starter kit for christmas and didn't even give the drying cream a thought. i had a pretty bad zit on my chin and i had run out of my drying lotion so i dabbed the cream on. i woke up to it completely flat and almost completely undetectable. i actually prefer it to the drying lotion as it works much faster in my opinion. as to the concealing element it claims to has, i could see how after a couple layers and enough blending the cream could maybe conceal the redness a bit! love it though. btw im 16 and i have combination skin.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I use to feel weird about this product because it's like a white mask on my face . But I used up my first container and didn't repurchase and THATS when I noticed how much grace this was doing too my face. And ODDLY, this product clears up my acne marks, probably because the vitamin e. I use it mainly to help with the red marking . Mario badescu products have saved my life. I've tried tons of other products that are BUDGET FRIENDLY, because I'm a broke college student, and badescue has cleared up my skin. Not ONE pimple anymore. I'm working on scars and markings now and this drying cream is perfect! I use the buffering lotion with the drying cream on top, every night. And then sometimes I'll apply the drying lotion additionally if I ever get a pimple (haven't had one in a while though). So my advice is if you use this use the buffering first then wait 5 min then apply the drying cream. I promise your skin will look better ASAP. *******apply test patch first .
And have a good moisturizer because hence DRYING :) but it's not bad my face doesn't peel and I use neutrogina face lotion.

Worse Before it Got Better

By Rocsi

Pros

  • Easy To Use

Cons

  • Irritates Skin

Best Uses

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I tried this product because I have small bumps on my face that i'm trying to get rid of. Prior, to trying this I was using the drying lotion which worked fine, but I wanted to see if this would work better. After putting it all over my face overnight, my skin was irritated the next day. It looked as if it had brought all of the impurities underneath my skin to the surface. I immediately had to stop using it at that point because I want my bumps to go away, not get worse. I've since gone back to using the drying lotion and my bumps decrease in size everyday.

I don't know if this product made me break out because it brought impurities to the surface or if it just irritated my skin. I am wondering if this was the case with anyone else. Did your acne get worse before it got better when using this drying cream?

Sometimes you have to invest in quality products that will give you real results. I bought the acne kit and it included this drying cream. I have hormonal acne around my cheek area and it can get bad and painful at times. I've been using this on my cheeks and spot treatment around my face at night. Great results and minimize my acne by a lot. I'm not seeing any new breakouts either. Happy!!!!

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I needed a spot acne treatment that's not tested on animals and doesn't use benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. I have used the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion and it's so-so in effectiveness, but the main issue is that you can't use it during the day. Fortunately, the Drying Cream can be used during the day, and it did a great job on a coupe of small bumps. You do need to make sure you blend it thoroughly into your skin and I imagine it might be harder to blend if you have dark skin. It didn't smell great, either. But I'm happy to have found something that seems to work.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

This cream definitely isn't a cure all. It is for under the surface pimples and it truly kicks their butt! I get painful deep zits along my jawline along with some white heads. It's not very effective on pimple with a head, but the rest, I've found it very effective. If you're going to apply makeup over it, make sure you use it sparingly. If you use too much, I've found the make up clings to that area and exaggerates the texture of your skin, which you don't want if your texture is already bad! It does smell weird, but it's really not that strong and fades, doesn't bother me at all.Overall, a great product for your acne routine. Anyway, hope these tips help!

            • Q:

I have quite a few tiny skin colored bumps that I get around my temples and forehead and I can't get them to go away for anything. Some people would call it skin texture. But sometimes it's very noticeable at least to me and I'm looking for something that will make it go away or at least lessen it. Is this a product that could do that? Or is there anything else you would recommend?

These are both spot treatments but they are designed to treat different types of blemishes. Drying Lotion is for surface blemishes and Drying Cream is for small, under the surface bumps. The Drying Cream does contain sulfur - which can have an off-putting smell to some - but if you can get past the smell, it is very effective.

I'm looking for an acne spot treatment, and I've noticed that yours all seem to be for specific types of acne (whiteheads, cystic, etc.). Can I get a definitive list of what product is for what sort of acne? Also what if I have different types of pimples going on? Is there a multi tasker?

Hello and thank you for your question.
The products below are best applied to the following:
                Drying Lotion - active whiteheads
Drying Cream - clusters of small under the surface bumps
Buffering Lotion - cystic acne (deep under the surface bumps)
Special Healing Powder - unique powder that fights unwanted shine
Anti Acne Serum - apply to acne prone areas as a preventative measure

After cleansing and toning, dab small amount onto affected areas until product blends into skin. Although this can be used during the day, our best recommendation is to apply minimally at bedtime. This product can be very drying. Over-usage may actually increase oil production making your stubborn problems worse.

Hi, what MB product should i use to remove the drying cream? I normally just wash it with my facial wash. But i realised that it makes my skin dry bcos the drying cream is already dry + my facial wash is those pure&matte kind so it will result in dry skin. Will enzyme cleansing gel helps? (I basically just want to remove the residue from drying cream) I want to achieve that moistured face aft removing the drying cream.

Hi I have been using your acne face wash and the "c" toner and it's helped soooo much, but I still break out just not as bad and I wanted to incorporate the glycolic foaming cleanser because the breakouts I do get still are large and I was wondering if maybe incorporating this product would also be good?? I also have a lot of scars from acne and my problem areas are the sides of my face, chin, and jaw line and sometimes around my mouth onto my cheeks. I have pretty oily skin but my forehead can be dry and flakey.

Incorporating the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser into your skin care routine 2-3 times a week would provide the necessary exfoliation to address both the acne and the discoloration. Our Drying Cream is a nightly spot treatment to target those small bumps that you may get in your problem areas. http://www.ulta.com/glycolic-foaming-cleanser?productId=xlsImpprod6200753

Hi and thank you for your question. You can apply the Drying Cream at night after cleansing and toning. Dab a small amount onto affected areas until product blends into skin. A little goes a long way! You can skip a moisturizer - or since you are only applying the Drying Cream to the affected areas - you can use a moisturizer everywhere you won't be applying the Drying Cream.
