Drying Cream

Item #: 2209806 Size: 0.5 oz

Ask a Question
Acne cream that conceals! Drying Cream is an effective treatment to dry up small under the surface bumps and pimples. Just a few dabs smoothed on the erupted areas prevent pimples from getting larger and spreading out of control. Aloe rich cream conceals and heals erupted pimples.
Apply sparingly on pimples by dabbing with fingertip until cream blends into the skin. Best when applied after moisturizer, before make-up.
Deionized Water (Aqua), Zinc Oxide, Aloe (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice) Gel, Cetyl Alcohol, Lemon (Citrus Medica Limonum) Extract, Colloidal Sulfur, Ervol, Octyl Palmitate, Ichthammol, Polysorbate 80, Titanium Dioxide, Polyglycerylmethacrylate (and) Propylene Glycol.

It doesn't work on all types of acne

By Jay_double_yuh

Pros

  • Easy To Use
  • Works Effectively

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Adult Acne
    • Inflammatory Acne
    • Moderate Acne

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

This cream definitely isn't a cure all. It is for under the surface pimples and it truly kicks their butt! I get painful deep zits along my jawline along with some white heads. It's not very effective on pimple with a head, but the rest, I've found it very effective. If you're going to apply makeup over it, make sure you use it sparingly. If you use too much, I've found the make up clings to that area and exaggerates the texture of your skin, which you don't want if your texture is already bad! It does smell weird, but it's really not that strong and fades, doesn't bother me at all.Overall, a great product for your acne routine. Anyway, hope these tips help!

      Ineffective

      By Angela

      from US

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I own many other Mario Badescu products and this is the only one I've really disliked. I have sensitive, breakout prone skin with the occasional cystic pimple. This cream does absolutely nothing to help. It doesn't ever stop smelling like chemical fumes/gasoline. I get pimples on my chin and when I put this cream on the smell is so strong I can't stand it. You also can't use this like a "mask" because it never dries fully. It has not reduced the appearance of my acne at all. I recommend the drying lotion instead.

      Wonderful for my sensitive skin

      By Wesley

      from Portland, OR

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I have VERY sensitive skin, that's very prone to breakouts. Sometimes it's cystic, and sometimes it's just small blackheads, it doesn't matter which one it is, this cream works wonders. I recommend it if you have sensitive skin, and are prone to breakouts.

I would warn people if the smell and texture. The smell is pretty strong and not the most pleasing. The texture is pretty different from anything else I've ever used. If you can adjust to those, I really think this is a product for everyone!

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I have been using this product for years. I use it only for pimples that don't form a "head". This product works best on those types of pimples, the kind that are larger and deeper under the skin. If you use too much of this product, it has a tendency to dry out the skin, but I have learned how much to use to avoid drying out my skin. It works very well. Sometimes, I see overnight results and other times, I need to reapply the product 1-2 more times. Because the color of the product matches skin color, I can rub this into a pimple and then apply my makeup and it it not obvious that I have mediation on the pimple. This product will last a very long time because you do not need much for each application. This product is best for occasional pimples, not for people who have large breakouts. I have found that this product drys out in about 1 year so if you have not used all of the product by then, you will need to buy a new one. Overall, I really like this product and use it for occasional pimples with great results.

it does an amazing job with under the skin bumps and pimples. it works like a charm and is thick. the only problem is it smells like a cross between burning plastic and gasoline. which is horrid. but I still recommend it highly.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I have only used the Mario Badescu line for a few weeks now and I must say that it's quite amazing. I have serious acne problems and have been been trying to clear it by trying everything... literally! I received this mask on Christmas Eve and applied it on a few huge cystic zits in the morning. By the afternoon, it greatly reduced! By today (12/16) it's gone. I'm truly impressed! Mind you, I've been using the Drying Lotion as well. It does have quite a smell to it. It reminds me of something but I can't quite put my finger on it. If you can get past the smell, you will see an improvement in the skin! Give it a go, I'd say.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I've tried about every acne product or system ou there and nothing would work for my cystic acne or acne from inflamed chin hair. I stumbled upon this at Ulta and have completely switched over to sulfur products! This goes on white, but dries more clear. You can put on thinner and even use as a concealer. It works well with regular acne too, but I use it mainly for cysts.

Comments about Mario Badescu Drying Cream:

I recently received this product in a Mario Badescu kit which was a tiny sample, but the consistency was very different almost as if it were dried. Today I purchased the full sized product and the consistency was very liquidy and the product was almst half empty! would not mnd so much if it were maybe less pricey but it is kind of pricey, even though I love it! Im hoping this still has the same efect as it did before and maybe the manufactrer could start filling the container more. I may need to get in touch with someone from the company itself, otherwise I am obsessed with this item.

I was looking for a cream to help with spot treatment of acne. A customer service representative helped pick this one out for me because the brand I wanted wasn't available. It does seem to work. The only think I can't get over is the smell. It smells like cigarettes to me, just an unpleasant smell.

How many times a day can I use this product? Should I only use at night or can I also use it in the morning? And possibly midday as well? I'm trying to get rid of stubborn pimples.

We suggest you use a minimal amount at bedtime on a clean, dry face. As the product name suggests, the product can be very drying. Over-usage may actually increase oil production making your stubborn problems worse.

Hi I have been using your acne face wash and the "c" toner and it's helped soooo much, but I still break out just not as bad and I wanted to incorporate the glycolic foaming cleanser because the breakouts I do get still are large and I was wondering if maybe incorporating this product would also be good?? I also have a lot of scars from acne and my problem areas are the sides of my face, chin, and jaw line and sometimes around my mouth onto my cheeks. I have pretty oily skin but my forehead can be dry and flakey.

Incorporating the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser into your skin care routine 2-3 times a week would provide the necessary exfoliation to address both the acne and the discoloration. Our Drying Cream is a nightly spot treatment to target those small bumps that you may get in your problem areas. http://www.ulta.com/glycolic-foaming-cleanser?productId=xlsImpprod6200753

              A:

Hi and thank you for your question. You can apply the Drying Cream at night after cleansing and toning. Dab a small amount onto affected areas until product blends into skin. A little goes a long way! You can skip a moisturizer - or since you are only applying the Drying Cream to the affected areas - you can use a moisturizer everywhere you won't be applying the Drying Cream.

Drying Cream should not be used around the eye area. It is a night time treatment that should only be applied very sparingly to small clusters of under the surface pimples.

I have combo/oily skin. Just recently have I gotten control of my acne, so I only have one or two break outs once in a while that goes away after a few days. However, I still have under the surface bumps on my forehead that I can't get rid of completely..
I use a green tea facial wash with my Clarisonic, use the Glycolic Acid Toner to tone, Murad's Rapid Age Spot and Pigmentation Serum to target my old acne scars, and an SPF moisturizer in the morning/regular moisturizer at night.
Would I be able to use this drying lotion at night in addition to my skincare regime? Also, would you recommend incorporating either the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser or the Acne Facial Cleanser? What would be better for my skin needs?
