I have been reading a lot on dry brushing and decided I wanted to give it a try. I found this brush browsing through Ulta and decided to see how well I like it since the price was fair. I use it before I get into the shower, which is recommended. I can tell a huge difference in my skin and how much smoother it is. I was worried mostly about not enjoying the feeling of the bristles on my skin, but they are not bad at all.

My boyfriend gets a *lot* of small ingrown hairs on his sides, so I got him this for his birthday. He has noticed softer skin and far less ingrown hairs. It's not an instant miracle worker like I had hoped. The first brushing didn't show any improvement in ingrowns, but after about four brushing and two showers, it went from about 70% of the hairs on his sides being ingrown down to 40 or 50%, which is a great improvement. The brush is slightly rough, but it feels pretty nice. If your skin is dry enough, you'll get a little cloud of dust while brushing.

Great question - on average, we would recommend replacing the brush every 3-6 months, depending on the level of usage.

I would recommend cleaning the bristles with our EcoTools makeup brush shampoo (it's for makeup brushes, but would also work with this bath brush). You can find that here:

                                    Hi Wendy,

Thanks for your question! This is such a great brush overall, but it's definitely meant for the skin on your body. The skin on your face is much more fragile, so you will want to look for products specifically made for the face.

As far as product go, have you tried facial scrubs? They are wonderful for helping to rejuvenate your skin through exfoliation. There are also several facial cleansing options (including brushes) if you do a search for them on Ulta.com.

I did a general search and these are the results it generated (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/a/_/Ntt-facial%20cleansing/Nty-1?Dy=1&ciSelector=searchResults).

                                    Hope that helps!

                                    Hi Allie,

Really good question! While you *can* use this brush in the shower, it's best used out of the shower (either before you take one, or any time).

The way I like to use it is about 1/2 hr before bed, I use the brush on my legs, arms, mid-section, then really focus on the areas that need a bit more care & exfoliation (knees, feet & ankles). Then I apply lotion to my arms, legs, feet & hands.

I've found that the lotion soaks in much better and I am having far less issues with dry skin since I started that regimen. I kind of feel like I can't live without this product!!

                                    :)

                                    Thanks!
