Comments about EcoTools Dry Body Brush:

My husband and I enjoyed a few couple massages while on our cruise
We enjoy our Dry Body Brushing with our Hot Stone Massage. The dry brush is so good and healthy for our skin and circulation.
I've heard a very natural and holistic special by a actress MaryLou Henner , she spoke of dry brushing and health benifits and it made total sense as our skin is our largest part of our body that gets over looked a lot.
I will say the actress is very extreme for me in other areas of healthy and holistic .

I read about dry brushing online and thought I'd check it out. This affordable brush has been a great entry into this new body regime. I have really dry skin, especially my legs, and this brush helps gently exfoliate the dead skin without scratching my skin.
And bonus, dry brushing can give you energy. I was on a long road trip and was getting drowsy. I pulled out this brush and used it while I drove (probably not the smartest idea, but my eyes were always on the road and one hand always on the wheel). It gave me the boost of energy I needed to reach my destination safely and wide awake. I plan to get a second brush to keep in the car since it's compact and affordable.

I got one of these about a year ago, from ulta. I absolutely LOVED it. I used it to dry brush and in the shower every now and then. I needed a new one so I bought it and the quality is worse than the one I have that's been used for a year. The bristles are awful. So poorly made. I bought two. One for the shower and one for dry brushing and will definitely by returning.

                            Hi Jess,

Great question. It kind of depends on how you want your skin to feel. After using the dry brush to exfoliate, my favorite kind of moisturizer to use is Body Butter. It moisturizes to the level I need, but doesn't leave shine or "stickiness"! :)

                            Thanks!

                          Hello,
I was wondering, does this dry brush help with reducing the appearance of cellulite? I've been doing a lot of research and they say you should use a natural brush.

                          Thank you

Great question!! As much as I wish I held the magic wand (or brush) to wave and cellulite will disappear, this won't take it all away; however, there have been studies shown that it reduces the appearance overall of cellulite. Plus, this is amazing for exfoliating and keeping that skin looking vibrant and smooth. And that has to count for something, right?! :)

                            Hope that helps!

On average, I would say 1x week. If you have problem areas (like, for me, my elbows): I usually concentrate on that area 2-3x until it smooths out.

                            Thanks.

Great question - on average, we would recommend replacing the brush every 3-6 months, depending on the level of usage.

I would recommend cleaning the bristles with our EcoTools makeup brush shampoo (it's for makeup brushes, but would also work with this bath brush). You can find that here:

                            Hi Wendy,

Thanks for your question! This is such a great brush overall, but it's definitely meant for the skin on your body. The skin on your face is much more fragile, so you will want to look for products specifically made for the face.

As far as product go, have you tried facial scrubs? They are wonderful for helping to rejuvenate your skin through exfoliation. There are also several facial cleansing options (including brushes) if you do a search for them on Ulta.com.

I did a general search and these are the results it generated (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/a/_/Ntt-facial%20cleansing/Nty-1?Dy=1&ciSelector=searchResults).

                            Hope that helps!

                            Hi Allie,

Really good question! While you *can* use this brush in the shower, it's best used out of the shower (either before you take one, or any time).

The way I like to use it is about 1/2 hr before bed, I use the brush on my legs, arms, mid-section, then really focus on the areas that need a bit more care & exfoliation (knees, feet & ankles). Then I apply lotion to my arms, legs, feet & hands.

I've found that the lotion soaks in much better and I am having far less issues with dry skin since I started that regimen. I kind of feel like I can't live without this product!!

                            :)

                            Thanks!
