Comments about Laura Geller Double Take Baked Versatile Powder Foundation:

I ran out of my usual MAC powder foundation and Ulta was the nearest makeup store we had, I've told the lady what I was looking for, what my skin type is, etc. And she tried 3 different foundations on me, I was looking for a more natural look and this just gave me the right color that matches my skin tone, it didn't sink into my pores, it wasn't heavy on the face.
I'm already using it for two weeks, it lasts for 12 hours on my face, doesn't cake up even if you add another layer on it, doesn't make your face oily, and doesn't causes breakouts, which is really important as I have really sensitive skin.
Overall, it is such a great product, a little bit pricey but worth the $$.

Comments about Laura Geller Double Take Baked Versatile Powder Foundation:

Just started wearing this about a week ago. I like it because of the matte finish. I used to use Bronze and Balance, but she's no longer making it. Now I am using this with Bronze and Brighten over the top for some bronze color. I don't like the sparkle type make ups on my older skin, it makes my pores look larger and stand out, so this is a decent compromise. Love Laura Geller products, but not the "brighten" part of it due to the sparkle illuminating effect. Had she not come out with this matte finish foundation, I would have had to switch brands. Would still prefer my old Bronze and Balance.

Can someone tell me the undertone for the sand and tan ? Is one more of a yellow undertone and one more of a peach/golden ? I have an olive/tan skintone,
                      Thanks!

                        A:

Sand- has a warmer undertone with some peach hues
Tan- Also a warmer undertone but is much more golden and olive.
Based on what you described, it seems like the shade Tan will be perfect for you. Enjoy!

                    • Q:

I love this powder foundation! However, the light is a tad too light for me and the medium is a bit too dark for me now that summertime is over. I really want to use the light because of the coverage it gives me but I don't want my face to look washed out. What are your suggestions?

                        A:

You have a couple choices! You can either go with the light and then add some bronzer on your cheeks to give warmth and dimension. That look is beautiful! Or, you can try our other baked foundation powder called Balance-n-Brighten. This does not offer as much coverage as Double Take, however it is build able and I find it to be enough coverage if you layer it. You can try that in the Light which is actually a tad deeper than the light in Double take. Enjoy!

Yes! All of our products contain skin loving ingredients and have a ton of skincare benefits, so you should be able to use this product no problem. Some of the amazing ingredients are white tea and cantle asiatica, which are botanicals that have anti-oxiodant protection, as well as coconut oil for extreme hydration. You should be totally fine using this foundation. Enjoy!

                        A:

It absolutely can! The only thing I would like to point out is that it does deliver full coverage. If you apply it as a finishing powder over a full coverage liquid, it will maximize the coverage and it will be quite full! If being used as a finishing powder, I would recommend using a lightweight brush so it will deposit a light dusting of color to set as opposed to a dense brush which will deliver a lot of product. Enjoy!

What would you recommend as the better product - this or Balance & Brighten? Is there a large difference between the two products? I'm almost ready to order & didn't think I'd ever find anything better than Balance & Brighten - it's quick to apply & you can apply for light or heavier coverage: plus I use it to blend blush application.

                        A:

It is completely a personal preference! The main difference is that Double Take will offer a true full coverage with just one swipe and can be worn wet or dry. The Balance-n-Brighten offers more of a medium coverage that is buildable, and it is not recommended to use it wet. I personally like to have both options in my makeup kit- you never know what type of makeup mood you're going to be in!

Because this product has a lot of warmth to it, I would choose either the light or the golden medium in balance-n-brighten. If you are on the lighter end of the medium spectrum, choose light. If you are on the deeper end, choose golden medium. Enjoy!

                        A:

Because this item is baked (it starts its life as a cream and is then baked into a powder on terra-cotta tiles), the overall finish and feel is much creamier and smoother than a conventional powder. This product will not settle into lines! It'll simply glide nice and smooth over the skin, covering imperfections and delivering the full yet breathable coverage. This works great on all skin, and glides perfectly over mature skin. It also contains coconut oil which is extremely hydrating... again making it perfect for mature or dry skin. Enjoy!
