Comments about Laura Geller Double Take Baked Versatile Powder Foundation:

The foundation was very easy to apply. It gave light coverage and with the matte finish I felt my skin looked too dry and the fine lines appeared more visable. This might be a good foundation for folks with an oily complexion.

The shade, I feel, is a bit too light for my skin tone. One of the representatives told me the color to choose so I'm wondering if I would like this product more if it was a bit darker.

Comments about Laura Geller Double Take Baked Versatile Powder Foundation:

One of the ladies in Ulta recommended this powder with one of LG's primers as well after I told her my skin concerns (liquids seem to break me out, but I have dry, acne prone skin) and it's honestly better than I expected. I took her word for it because she said I would really like the coverage and she was right. Originally, when she put it on me to color match, it looked a little cake-y so be careful applying it over other products or with too heavy a hand. It evens out skin tone nicely and can cover spots if you use a smaller brush to blend a little more product into that area specifically. If it looks too powder-y, a setting spray fixes that instantly. It hasn't seemed to break me out or dry me out either, something that surprised me with a product containing talc (if you're sensitive to it, be careful!) Overall, a really good option for me thus far, we'll see how it goes!

Comments about Laura Geller Double Take Baked Versatile Powder Foundation:

This covers imperfections and looks beautiful when I first apply it. However, my skin is very oily with large pores and this quickly starts sinking into my pores and looks strange and cakey. I've tried it with and without primers and setting spray but nothing helps. I think it would be good for someone with less oily skin without large pores.

Comments about Laura Geller Double Take Baked Versatile Powder Foundation:

I purchased this twice and the more I used it I became increasingly more disappointed. When wet, it is very hard to put on evenly. However, dry it doesn't cover well. After a few hours of wear, it needed to reapplied. I don't recommend, especially for the money.

Comments about Laura Geller Double Take Baked Versatile Powder Foundation:

I love this. I actually returned 5 different foundations before I found this. I used to always use the Revlon colorstay (faithfully for around 8 years) but when they changed the formula last year, I decided to start looking into a new foundation. I will say that I dislike the sparkle because it didn't do my combo skin (dry cheeks/lips area, and oily T zone) any favors, but the actual foundation itself is nice! I have found that if I do not let my moisturizer dry 100%, it will seem cakey. I prefer to apply with the pink side of the sponge. I think I found a fall/winter/spring winner with this one. I'll be on the hunt for a new liquid come summer :)

              • Q:

Hello, I have tried the double take foundation and I use balance and brighten in medium. The light in B& B is too yellow for me. The double take bake in medium seems to have a orangey cast on me. What are the undertones in the medium balance and brighten and the double take baked? Not sure which would work? I have sort of a nuetral to cool coloring, but not a pink undertone. I tend to turn red then tan. Thx, Tanya

Based on the information given to me, it does sounds like the medium Balance-n-Brighten should be perfect for you. It definitely has more cool (pink) to neutral undertones. And because this item is made up of multi-pigmented swirls of color, it is forgiving. So even if it's a tad too dark you'll never have a line under your jaw. Just make sure to blend down! I Need doible Take, which has more coverage, try using the light. This does not have as much yellow or orange as the light Balance.

Tan- Also a warmer undertone but is much more golden and olive.

I love this powder foundation! However, the light is a tad too light for me and the medium is a bit too dark for me now that summertime is over. I really want to use the light because of the coverage it gives me but I don't want my face to look washed out. What are your suggestions?

You have a couple choices! You can either go with the light and then add some bronzer on your cheeks to give warmth and dimension. That look is beautiful! Or, you can try our other baked foundation powder called Balance-n-Brighten. This does not offer as much coverage as Double Take, however it is build able and I find it to be enough coverage if you layer it. You can try that in the Light which is actually a tad deeper than the light in Double take. Enjoy!

Yes! All of our products contain skin loving ingredients and have a ton of skincare benefits, so you should be able to use this product no problem. Some of the amazing ingredients are white tea and cantle asiatica, which are botanicals that have anti-oxiodant protection, as well as coconut oil for extreme hydration. You should be totally fine using this foundation. Enjoy!

It absolutely can! The only thing I would like to point out is that it does deliver full coverage. If you apply it as a finishing powder over a full coverage liquid, it will maximize the coverage and it will be quite full! If being used as a finishing powder, I would recommend using a lightweight brush so it will deposit a light dusting of color to set as opposed to a dense brush which will deliver a lot of product. Enjoy!

What would you recommend as the better product - this or Balance & Brighten? Is there a large difference between the two products? I'm almost ready to order & didn't think I'd ever find anything better than Balance & Brighten - it's quick to apply & you can apply for light or heavier coverage: plus I use it to blend blush application.

It is completely a personal preference! The main difference is that Double Take will offer a true full coverage with just one swipe and can be worn wet or dry. The Balance-n-Brighten offers more of a medium coverage that is buildable, and it is not recommended to use it wet. I personally like to have both options in my makeup kit- you never know what type of makeup mood you're going to be in!

Because this product has a lot of warmth to it, I would choose either the light or the golden medium in balance-n-brighten. If you are on the lighter end of the medium spectrum, choose light. If you are on the deeper end, choose golden medium. Enjoy!
