Comments about Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo For Brunettes:

I bought this wanting to try a dry shampoo that did not leave a white residue. I'll take the white over this any day. It not only left my hair looking like I took a can of spray paint to it but every time I touched my hair there after, for hours after my hands/face turned brown. It looked like I was washing color out of my hair when I washed that evening. Not something I would ever recommend to anyone, unless your main concern is covering greys.

Comments about Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo For Brunettes:

I was super excited about this product, and in theory, a tinted dry shampoo makes a lot of sense!! However, this product did not work for me. At all. It left my hair feeling stiff and the tint came off on my clothes and hands and even onto my forehead. I had to return it right away. I do not recommend this product.

I purchased this a few days ago and plan on returning it. This tinted my hands brown and I had to wash the product out of my hair. It made my hair feel dirty and like straw.

Besides using as intended, it hides gray roots in between color applications. Comes off in the shower (so don't get caught in the rain :))

Comments about Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo For Brunettes:

I love the regular DryBar Detox dry shampoo, so when I ran out I decided to try the version for brunettes since I am brunette. I ran to Ulta at lunch to purchase and touch up my hair. Well let me tell you... this stuff is like brown spray paint. It got EVERYWHERE. It honestly looked like I sprayed brown spray paint across my forehead and on my scalp (where my hair parts). If you like DryBar Detox, stick to the original formula. The brunette version is unfortunately a miss. The only good side to this product is that it did add a slight bit of volume to my day 2 hair and comes with the signature DryBar scent. Now if people will only notice my hair's nice volume and delightful scent and somehow are blind to the dark brown residue all over my forehead and hair line, I may not have the most embarrassing of days.

Drybar is the best dry shampoo in the original formula- the brunette is not as effective and stains everything it comes in contact with. Stick with the original!

Comments about Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo For Brunettes:

I'm a huge fan of Drybar products and had had no doubt I would love this one as well. Nope, I was wrong! I have really dark hair and wanted to give this a try because I love the original dry shampoo but I have to really work it in so you do not see the white residue. This product stained my hands and my shirt that I was wearing to work that day. (Will wash out) It also left my hair feeling horrible. It was very dry and course and not easy to style anymore until I washed it all out. I will continue to use the normal dry shampoo because I love this brand but I will not use the brunette dry shampoo again. Which kinda stinks because it is a little pricey and now I'm stuck with a whole can.

Comments about Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo For Brunettes:

In spite of all the bad reviews, I was excited to try as I have brown hair and while I love dry shampoo (Living Proof), I feel like the white stuff highlights any gray hair that I might have.
When I first sprayed I was excited to see how it blended with my roots. However, it felt like I had just applied a lot of hairspray and my hair was not manageable. I wanted to give it the benefit of a doubt, and styled my hair as usual with a curling iron. My hair looked ok for a minute and then the styling started to wear off. My hair was stiff, and every time I tried to fix it, I would get brown stuff on my hands. I kept washing my hands! Then if strands of my hair would touch my face it would get all brown. It was a nightmare and worried about it all night as we were out to dinner. My hair is now dry, stiff, and feels gross. Can't wait to wash this stuff off. Such a dissapointment! I will give it one more chance, but not hopeful. Will likely be returning and sticking to Living Proof
