one of the best cleanser

By tazzz

Comments about Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser:

I am in my early thirties and have started getting hormonal breakouts around the neck chin area. Also the summer humidity made my skin oily and congested. I went for a dermalogica facial and the esthetician suggested this so I bought the travel size and have been using for a week. My skin feels so clean calm and smooth. Not drying at all. Skin just feels awesome. Will definitely consider buying full size!

Comments about Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser:

I have oily skin with relatively large pores. This cleanser has been great. I've been using for about 2 years and have paired it with my Clarisonic for the last year. With nightly use, it definitely made my skin feel tighter. My pores seemingly shrunk while my complexion evened out (full effects after 1-1/2 months). It didn't completely get rid of my breakouts, but they significantly lessened. It's clay based so there is some drying effects, however for oily skin, the drying has been great. I still have a sheen in the afternoons but it's more like a healthy glow now. I would recommend this product with an exfoliator.

I use this cleanser morning and night. I got it about a week ago and my skin has improved leaps and bounds. I kept breaking out for some reason, I really couldn't figure it out, but this cleanser took care of it. Definitely worth the money! I tried using a different, less expensive cleanser that was still a "premium" brand and it doesn't even come close.

I am 25 and have acne-prone, combination skin. I have been using this cleanser twice a day for two and a half months now. I have tried many drugstore brands through the years with little to no change and have recently decided to invest in better skincare brands to see if it makes a difference. YeS this product is EXPENSIVE but wow it gives me such a clean and tingling feeling! It smells good and helps control my oil during the day. I do use wipes to take off my makeup before using this however it removes makeup so well as there is still makeup removed on my Clarisonic. I recommend giving it a try with the trial size if you are nervous about the price comittment. 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive!

I love this stuff. I use as an everyday cleanser. The special cleansing gel just wasn't enough for my skin. This stuff is amazing. I use once a week as a masque also. The aesthetician recommended me to use. I love the tingly feeling and there is such a difference from when I put it on to when I wash it off. Amazing product. I want to try the charcoal masque next! (Just as a masque though)

Dermal clay cleanser, I use like a mask for 10 min. morning and night. If I am wearing make-up I remove it first. Twice a week I use the Sebum clearing mask, followed by the Gentle Cream Exfoliant, Clear Start Toner, then the Clear Start Overnight
I struggled with acne for way to long. This is even better than my dermatologist recommended RX. I have tried various products and this is the best. I use it morning and night. I do not use the day version because I have tried benzoyl peroxided products from store to RX with no relief in sight.
HOWEVER, I am on a total Dermalogica regimen.

Hi, I purchased the clay cleanser after asking the salon lady for a face wash.. She recommended the clay cleanser.. I was looking for a daily face wash to remove make up etc. Please can you tell me if I have the wrong product as I was not looking for a cleanser but everyday face wash. How many times can I use this?

Thank you for your inquiry. Dermal Clay Cleanser can be used twice a day to help balance oily skin. If you are looking for a cleanser to remove eye make up and cleanse skin daily, Special Cleansing Gel may be a better choice. Special Cleansing Gel is a foaming gel cleanser that can be used on the eye area to remove make up.

I am looking for a deep cleanser to use at night. I have dry skin in the winter months and oily in the summer. My skin is sensitive and blackheads seem to be my main issue in my t zone. I also do get some breakouts. Typically the breakouts are hormonal related. Is this appropriate for me to use? A:

The best deep cleanser for your skin at the end of the day is PreCleanse. This is a water soluble oil based cleanser that is used before your normal cleanser. The lightweight oils will penetrate into your follicles and break down any surface dirt, makeup, sunscreen or sebum that can clog pores. From what you have told us, Special Cleansing Gel would be the correct cleanser for you to use morning and night as your normal cleanser. Special Cleansing Gel is a foaming gel cleanser with Balm Mint and Lavender to help hydrate and balance combination skin. To prevent blackheads, exfoliate with Daily Microfoliant 3-4 times a week and use Skin Refining Masque 2-3 times a week. Follow with MultiActive Toner and Skin Smoothing Cream. We hope this helps!
