Choosing the Right Shade is Important

Comments about Dermablend Cover Creme:

I purchased Dermablend Cover Cream to help conceal my uneven skin tone (light patches and age spots). I watched a YouTube video prior to purchasing so that I would know how to apply it. Unfortunately, it does not really conceal as well as I had hoped. I'm thinking this is so because I may have chosen a color that is too light for me. I would try this product again but next time I will buy a one shade darker. When I bought this product, a very nice associate helped me select the color and even put it on for me. In the store's lighting, it looked fine. When I got home and put it on in different lighting, I realized that I'm about one shade off.

As far as ease in applying this product, I will say that it is fairly easy to apply. It comes with a small tool that you use to "scrape" out a small amount of product. You then put the product on the back of your hand and "warm it up" by rubbing it with your finger. Then you can easily apply it to your skin. I use my finger to pat it on. You must then use powder to set it in place. Even with the powder, it feels a little greasy. Regardless, I would try this product again.

Comments about Dermablend Cover Creme:

Coming from someone with severe acne and dry skin, this didn't work well with me. It clung to dry patches so bad and made my acne stand out more. For people with normal skin, this would be a excellent concealer, so I'm only recommending this to people and friends with normal skin.

      Comments about Dermablend Cover Creme:

I have tried many diff products for coverage of spots and this is the best stuff I have used. urban decay was a close second or even slightly better but I UD oxidizes, so it got to that tad orange look and it has no sunscreen which I need built in so it doesn't wind up changing the color of the makeup. So, from what was available at Ulta , Lancôme expert help me out with color match but not sure yet, maybe if it were a tad darker. A lil goes along way! use brush to blend in but fingers are good enough. I do have to blot here and there, maybe I should try setting powder.

      Comments about Dermablend Cover Creme:

I use this to cover my tattoos for work and I have mixed feelings about it. First of all, covering tattoos requires a bit of a learning curve. It's definitely not easy right away and you have to figure out the best products to use and the application method that works best for you. I've finally figured out how to cover my tattoos using just this creme and a translucent powder. The coverage is decent (I only need about 2 coats to cover a pretty large and dark tattoo), but you do need to work in thin layers and you do need to use setting powder in between otherwise the product will lift off the skin while applying the second layer. I have a couple issues with this makeup. First is that it causes me to break out. The tattoo I cover is on my back and after a couple uses, even after thoroughly cleaning the skin, I am starting to get acne in the area. Second is that it IS NOT 100% TRANSFER PROOF. I apply it to clean skin, let dry thoroughly between coats and set with powder in between and on top, and I still had the makeup move around. Nothing can touch it otherwise it moves around and smudges. It does the job and I don't know what other makeup options are even out there for tattoo covering, I just wish it performed better and was more durable.

I am extremely pale, a natural platinum blond. I have dermal blend professional leg & body cover light to cover a tattoo. This worked when I was going to tan but since I am no longer able to do that this is to dark and has a little too much red tenting. Would this product work better for me? Or is there another waterproof product you could recommend?

Thank you for asking about Leg & Body Cover, this product has been discontinued and is no longer available. It has been replaced by Leg & Body Makeup SPF 25. In this new product, a shade that would be lighter than the one you are currently using is 0N Fair Nude which is actually the lightest shade.
