Comments about PÜR Correcting Primer Hydrate & Balance:

So I got a sample of this and managed to stretch it into three days, it seemed incredible the difference it made in how many flakes peeked out from under my foundation, and how much better my skin felt when the makeup came off. My desert dry skin always- ALWAYS seems to peek out from some where, normally on my nose or cheeks but wearing this rather than taking two or three hours I got five or six, and the pale, often spotty complexion I can't escape looks so much brighter. I caved after debating for three months and bought a full size, I fell in love all over again. I just wish it was a little cheaper, I was really temped to see if the blue NYX primer is a dupe for this but I hated the idea of wasting my money when I know how good this one feels. We'll see if when I run out of this if I give in to my grandma's penny pinching teachings or if I stay loyal.

Good for large pores!

Comments about PÜR Correcting Primer Hydrate & Balance:

I love this primer! I have large pores and all the "pore reducing" primers filled with thick silicones only look good if you wear them alone. This primer looks good with foundation over it.. doesn't make the pores look bigger like most primers. I use Maybeline Matte and Poreless over it and it looks great! I still get oily but after, but after blotting several times, the makeup still lasts.

This is a good primer for those of us with large pores. It lasts all day with foundation over it even after blotting several times. I deducted one star because it doesn't provide any oil control.

Comments about PÜR Correcting Primer Hydrate & Balance:

I am in love with this product. Thanks to Ulta associates for recommending use of Correcting primer and 4-1 disappearing act concealer. I use the lavender because I have combination skin and I'm very oily on my nose naturally. I have tried primer in the past and they all made me more oiler. This product is oil free and silicone free. I've been to the dermatologist several times and tried fading creams, over counter products and prescribed ointments to get rid of dark spots/uneven tones over eyebrows and forehead which stands out like a sore thumb even through my makeup. None of those prescriptions solved my problem. I've batttling this problem for about 5years. The Pur primer and concealer is solving and fading my dark spots after one week of use. Thanks Pur! I will now try Mineral makeup and starter kit.

Comments about PÜR Correcting Primer Hydrate & Balance:

The product has a thick gel consistency but glides on the skin very well and absorbed quickly. My skin gets significantly dry from acne products and this primer has added an extra boost of hydration, after the application of my moisturizer. It does refine pores and lines but not as significantly as other primers. It is a great product that has become a staple of my morning routine.

Comments about PÜR Correcting Primer Hydrate & Balance:

I bought this on recommendation from a sales associate. I really needed a primer that would help blur fine lines (I'm 37) and keep my makeup on. I use Bare Minerals matte powder makeup and I noticed no discernible difference with this product on versus without. I appreciated the ingredients, but if it's not going to do the job, it doesn't matter what the ingredients are. I returned this (after the window) but the staff was helpful in returning it for credit. I moved on to UD Optical Illusion.

Hello PUR Beauty! The skin texture on the eye is very different to the skin texture on the rest of our face. We recommend applying Get A Grip eye shadow primer for the eyelids. You will notice the texture and consistency for this product is much different from face primer. You will also notice how well Get A Grip "grips" eyeshadow powder making it last all day!

                      Hi PUR Beauty,
Though PUR uses a small amount of Salicylic Acid in the primer, we do recommend consulting with your dermatologist when using prescription or strong acne products prior to starting any new products.

I have very complicated skin. I get tight, dry, flaky patches in my T-zone but mostly around my nose & mouth. On top of that I get oily in my T-zone as well. I don't understand how I can have the tightness & flakiness of dry skin but also get the most oil production in the same areas. On top of that I have very sensitive skin that will break out from harsh ingredients & synthetic fragrances. I am looking for something that won't make my skin feel dry & cakey after I've applied my makeup, won't emphasize dry patches & will help with oil production throughout the day. Will this product answer those needs & if not is there another product in the line that you recommend. Thanks so much!

                      A:

The salicylic acid within this product's formula will help to address the oiliness of your T-zone as well as help to prevent any blemishes. It also contains Pentavitin, a deeply hydrating ingredient that will help to address your skin's dry areas. To eliminate flaky dryness, we recommend exfoliating regularly using a scrub or peel (a few times weekly). We also recommend moisturizing using a lightweight oil-free moisturizer prior to applying this primer. Doing so will help ensure that the primer applies smoothly and evenly for a flawless finish. We hope this helps! Please note that we offer skin consultations and advice at your nearest ULTA store, as well!

This depends on what your primary skincare concern is. The green primer (Correcting Primer Redness Reducer) is best for those whose primary skincare concern is redness and irritation. The lavender primer (Correcting Primer Hydrate & Balance) is best for those whose primary skincare concern is excess oil and breakouts.

Correcting Primer Hydrate & Balance provides up to 72 hours of serious hydration by attracting and binding water to the skin. If you have an oilier skin type, you may find that this product can take the place of your moisturizer. It can also be applied over your existing moisturizer, before you apply your foundation.
