Comments about John Frieda Colour Refreshing Gloss:

I'm allergic to hair dye. For at least 5 years I use this every time I shampoo. Turns the grey a nice warm tone. My hair looks like it has highlights and I regularly get compliments on the color. In pictures my hair looks medium brown. I use either cool or warm brunette colors. I wish the warm brunette color was a little darker I prefer the tone of it.

I use this between colorings for the greys along my hairline and where I part my hair. Just a line of the gloss on those areas masks those pesky greys. I can go a couple of extra weeks using this every time I shampoo!

Comments about John Frieda Colour Refreshing Gloss:

I use the red color because my hair is naturally red but can get dull. This product freshens my look up without having to dye my hair. It is extremely gentle and gives my hair a nice shine. I use it once a week like suggested. The bottle says to leave in for at least 3 minutes but i usually leave it in a little longer because my hair is a brighter red and this is what I have discovered to be best. Also it smells great! It can stain your hands or things you get it on but dish soap gets it off quick and easy. I love this product for keeping me looking good between my hair appointments where i get a gloss.

Comments about John Frieda Colour Refreshing Gloss:

I bought this gloss in the cool brunette shade following a hair coloring disaster, and it has done unbelievable things to correct my color. I had a bad balayage done that turned my hair dull yellow and bright orange in chunks (my natural color is dark ash blonde). I went to a couple of other salons to have it fixed, and the stylists applied a light brown root color to try to recreate a balayage effect and cover the orange roots. While the stylists were able to correct the blonde ends, unfortunately the root color kept immediately fading back to orange after washing my hair once. I tried so many products and was at my wits end. I came across the John Frieda color gloss online and was so desperate that I had it shipped overnight to me. I applied it to the root area after shampooing and conditioning. After a few minutes, I blended it down a couple of inches into my blonde lengths. It has a smooth gel consistency that it very easy to apply and spread around. I also like the scent! I rinsed it out after probably 5 minutes. I was absolutely amazed at the result. It darkened my roots into the most perfect cool espresso light brown shade. It also created a beautiful cool-toned fade into my blonde. I pretty much ended up with the balayage ombré effect that I couldn't get at the salon! My roots are also very glossy and soft, but somehow not flat at all. I have never been so pleased with a hair product. I plan to buy the cool blonde gloss as well for my ends. I only wish this product was more readily available in stores.

This product is intended as a toning gloss to refresh hair color in between color services. It does not function as a permanent hair color. Warm Red adds fiery tones and Cool Red adds vivid tones to counteract fading of red salon color in between treatments. Results may vary by hair type, hair color, and hair condition.

This product is intended as a toning gloss to refresh hair color in between color services. It does not function as a permanent hair color. Cool Brunette adds deep espresso color to eliminate red-orange tones. For best results, use once a week to add back lost pigments that can fade over time.

                A:

Both the Colour Glaze and the new Gloss provide the same mild color deposition without hair damage. If you are a Precision Foam Colour user, the Colour Refreshing Gloss is better recommended because this product is better adjusted to Precision Foam Colour.

John Frieda Colour Refreshing Gloss was previously available exclusively in salons. It is an in-shower weekly treatment that instantly restores the look of first day salon-fresh colour without the colour process. This non-damaging weekly colour extending treatment adds back lost colour pigments that can fade over time for true to tone, salon-fresh colour in just 3 minutes. Colour Refreshing Gloss can be used with any at-home or salon colour. To obtain the best results, use this product once a week. Each Colour Refreshing Gloss contains 6 weekly uses.
