Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

Bought this to use on my 12 yr old. She has naturally blonde hair so no pre-bleaching was required. I color my hair all the time, so I am pretty good at knowing what to do, but this product is a very thick "goopy" gel, not as easy to spread onto hair with a brush or comb as with other products. We followed the directions, left it on for a little longer than recommended time (I should have done a strand test), rinsed out and the color was very faint. One shampoo later and it's 50% gone. I have used Punky Colour in the past, and will probably continue to in the future. It's just easier to work with and gives excellent color that lasts through the projected amounts of shampoos.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

I have short thin-ish hair and I used the whole bottle for my whole head. I love the color and it looks natural or like I went to salon to get it done. It get lighter each time I shower but for my hair I think it will last the full 8 washes or more to be gone. Very good product for the price.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

I just dyed my hair today. I have blonde hair but bleached it and then I dyed all of my hair with the soft pink shade, expecting a nice even pastel shade. The results were terrible and much different than the misleading pictures. I followed the instructions to the teeth but it's just a poor, falsely-advertised product. As someone who regularly dyes her hair, I would advice you to skip this product unless you're looking for a tint that will last 2 days.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

This color is so bold and easy to use. It looks purple straight out of the tube but turns true to color after 30 minutes. If you leave it on longer it will turn a darker teal than Aqua. On my light blonde bleached hair this dye soaked right in, to the point where it literally rinsed clear. I have shampooed 5 times since first using this and it hasn't faded in the slightest. I personally don't mind but if you are truly looking for a semi-permanent hair color and have bleached hair I would suggest diluting it with conditioner and not leaving it on for the full 30 minutes.

I put the color in my bleached hair at the beginning of August. It was super blue, like smurf blue. After about 4 washes it was more turquoise which I liked. However after 2 bleaches and using the colourista color remove shampoo it is now October 3 and I still have a faint turquoise color in my hair.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

Ive used this product in both pink and peach. When I used the pink, it turned out more of a dark purpley pink, but I'm fairly certain it was just mispackaged. I used the peach and left it in for almost an hour and a half, and it turned out great. I have medium blonde hair, washed my hair daily, and don't bleach it and the color still turned out very bright. It lasted about 3-5 weeks, and I got so many compliments on it.

I got my hair done for a rose gold ombré and I always used the viral pastel pink shampoo to maintain it. Would the soft pink hair dye work in place of the pink shampoo? If so, what do you recommend I do to get it to a rose gold color? My tips are a honey blonde color at the moment.

Hello! Colorista Semi-Permanent Colors will not replace a shampoo to maintain color. This product will deposit pigment on your hair that will wash out gradually. You can use this product to color your hair soft pink, but follow the instructions and do not use it like a shampoo! If you are looking for a permanent rose gold shade, we recommend trying our Feria 822 Rose Gold. We hope this answers your question!

Hello! We are not completely sure what you mean, but we can try to help. If you use bleach over Colorista Semi-Permanent Color, it will likely brighten the Colorista shade even more and make it stay longer. We recommend waiting until all of the Colorista Semi-Permanent Color is washed out of your hair before bleaching or applying permanent haircolor.

Hi Re-Re, Colorista shades for blonde hair could look much brighter on gray/silver hair, and Colorista shades for brunettes even more so. They also may stay in longer than our suggested lastingness. If you are still interested in using them, we recommend performing a strand test first to ensure you will like your results!

Hi Jima, thanks for your question about Colorista! We would not recommend using the shades for light/bleached hair on medium brown hair or white/gray hair. On the medium brown hair you would see no result, and since we have not tested Colorista on white/gray hair we do not know what result you would get.
