Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent For Brunette Hair:

A couple months ago I tried the teal on my brown hair. It turned out green. I tried to accept the green with applying some green make-up for a day. It washed out after a couple harsh washes. Just recently I did a blonde ombre to my hair and I'm attempting the tangerine on my ombre. wish me luck!

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent For Brunette Hair:

I have really blonde bleached hair and wanted something that I could use to change the look and not be committed too, so I have this a try. I purchased the pastel pink, which is more like a regular pink. So I mixed it with conditioner and placed it to my hair. This solves a lot of problems. First the color was much lighter. Second it really helped the wash out process and didn't make it as permanent. Third I didn't have to use a lighter or color stripper to get it out which kept the integrity of the hair. I love this and will be purchasing other colors.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent For Brunette Hair:

I used this on my teenager's short, dark hair. I bought a cheap color bowl, application brush, and gloves, which are a must for preventing stains. I'm no good at this stuff, but the color came out great and I used less than half the bottle. There's no mixing so you can save the rest for later. You do have to watch for staining on your pillow cases if your hair is damp. Also your towels for a couple washes. But it's fun for brunettes and has worked better than any other temp colors we've tried. Even after it fades it looks cool in certain light.

We used the purple on my grown daughters natural light blond hair, left on the max 30 minutes, color barely took at all. I'm sure with one or two more shampoos you would not be able to see it at all. I would not try this again

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent For Brunette Hair:

I have medium brown hair and the red color this produced was super vibrant and fun. The downside is that the application process is extremely messy and for the amount of time the dye lasts (which isn't long) I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle. This would be a great product to try out a look before you commit to a more permanent dye, but I can't imagine using this more than once.

My 8 year old daughter wanted to put a fun color in her hair before school started back. She chose the burgundy color and has medium-light brown hair.
I did her hair in an ombré style and it is subtle yet still there. Looks really cute. Hoping it actually washes out enough for when school starts back.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent For Brunette Hair:

First off, this color is true to teal IF your hair is already bleached. My hair was already fading from a previous color (also Colorista!) so I wanted to try teal - I hadn't realized that this color was advertised for brunette hair, but I can say that my very dark natural roots were unaffected by the dye. The actual color lasted much longer than 4 washes, and even in the Texas sun it took at least 2 weeks to fade, unlike the other colors advertised for blonde or bleached hair (they fade faster, which is to be expected). 3.5 weeks later my hair is now all shades of green, mint, teal, and yes, chlorine green, but I don't mind looking a little witchy haha.

It was super easy to apply, and I was pumped for a temporary new look without having to bleach my naturally red hair. The directions were simple and straightforward, and application was easy. I loved everything about my new teal hair until about a week of daily washing hadn't removed the color, but instead turned it a super ugly green! I bought the fader shampoo, and it's made NO difference. Looks like I've got green hair forever. :eye roll:

I dyed the bottom portion of my hair in an ombre fashion with the teal, it's been about 2.5 months and the green is still there. I have naturally red hair, I was wondering if the red or burgundy dye would cover the green, or if it would end up muddy and brown? I've tried to fade with clarifying shampoos, hot showers, etc and

Hi Teri! We're really surprised the semi permanent deposit of the teal is still in your hair after all this time. It sounds like you've done the kind of things we would recommend to help the color come out of the hair. Using a any shade of haircolor over the teal will come out muddy looking. Using a red color over the green will come out brown. We're sorry this color is taking so long to come out of the hair. There is nothing in this product that can penetrate the hair shaft to make the color last more than a few shampoos, so we're not sure why your color is hanging on so long.

Hi Sarrah! Since the color gradually rinses out with each shampoo, it is possible that it could get on your towels when you dry your wet hair. However, it will come out in the wash! As long as your hair is dry, the color won't transfer onto anything!

Hello Mel! We would recommend to make sure that the area where you applied the other product is completely washed out. Then we would recommend using the brunette shades in order for the color to show on your hair color. The brunette shades are teal, burgundy, red and tangerine. We hope this is helpful!
