Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Brass Banisher:

This product didn't work for me. I was really excited to try it after reading reviews. It is tough when you have to go to a social function after a product fail!

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Brass Banisher:

It didn't work at all. If anything it made it worse. L'Oréal is usually so great but this is just a waste of money. I did it exactly as instructed and left it on 10 minutes. Ugh!!!

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Brass Banisher:

Did my hair from dark brown to blue. After bleaching and applying the blue dye, my hair turned green. Put this product over my green head for 30 min instead of 5 min and redye the blue. No more green, got the blue that I wanted.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Brass Banisher:

My hair always looks brassy so this product really fixes that. My advice would be not to leave this product on as long as they advise. Esp. if you have light blonde hair. The product does darken your shade and it stays on forever. But it's perfect if you take it off as soon as the brassy-ness disappears.

This was absolutely horrible. I'm a light blonde and I just wanted a nice shine. What I ended up with was a duller reddish color. Needless to say I set an appt w a professional to fix what this box did the next day.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Brass Banisher:

I recently went platinum and still had a tiny amount of gold and warmth in parts of my hair. I decided to do a strand test on the underneath side of my hair and I'm so glad I did. I made sure to use proper ratios and left on 10 minutes. Sadly it didn't fix my brass problem, so I feel like I dodged an allover mistake. And thankfully it didn't cause any further drying or damage. I used Joice Colour Ensure Violet shampoo afterwards and I think with continued use it's my best bet to remove the brassy tones since I could see a small improvement after one use.

                • Tone down yellow/orange tones

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Brass Banisher:

The product says to leave it on for 5 minutes. Then it says you can leave it on for up to 15 minutes. It's not clear how you're supposed to know how long to leave it on. I left it on for 5 minutes because I didn't want it to darken my hair too much. That wasn't long enough to make a huge difference. I have been using brass banisher conditioner every day as a follow up and that seems to be helping. It is an inexpensive thing to try before resorting to paying a color correctionist.

Removed brassiness out of your color instantly!

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Brass Banisher:

Doing your own highlights tends to create brassiness, trust me I know from experience and its ok, we all save money doing our own hair but dont need the orange in our hair to show the world our mistakes! This purple product allows you to rub into the areas that you find golden or orange and leave in for about 15 mins or longer and you will see as you rinse it out the color is lighter and either less orange depending on the need for lightening or perfect, no fret you can fix the problem just to a deep condition afterwards. I use coconut oil bought in the oil aisle (cheaper than hair aisle) same thing and rub scalp to ends let it dry and sleep on a towel over my pillow, tomorrow my hair may be too soft but won't complain, if that is the case after you style you learn next time to wash after the rinse of oil and it puts some texture back into your hair. Good luck.
