Comments about Wet n Wild Online Only Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection:

ALL the colors in this palette are dusty and powdery, nothing like the buttery/smooth formula found in their neutral colors. There is a lot of kick-up when you press your brush to them and the chalkiness makes them difficult to work with and blend on the eyelid.

Most of these colors have lousy pigment. They barely show up on the lid on their own, especially if you have a medium/tan skin tone such as myself. Even with a setting spray, most of these eyeshadows don't apply well and blend away to almost nothing. With a LOT (a LOT) of work some of the colors can be used, but all the extra effort makes the price not even remotely worth it.

The stars of the show are the teal color on the right side of the palette, and the dark gray on the bottom left column. The dark gray is the most buttery and soft and the teal is bright and vibrant with or without wetting your brush with a setting spray. The dark blue on the bottom right is not SO bad but it swatches and applies a different color than it appears in the pan, which is a huge disappointment. The first two shadows in the left hand column (the baby fuchsia along with the peachy pink), along with the yellow, are the worst colors. They're beyond sheer (the peachy pink is almost invisible) and they're the chalkiest of the bunch.

Overall this palette isn't worth it. I'll stick to the WnW neutrals in the future, until I hear they've improved their formula.

It looks like Ulta is offering the Poster Child palette as of this typing, but don't let the bright colors scare you off! It stays true to pigment, blends beautifully, and will last all day (at least with an eye primer which I always use regardless of eyeshadow). I hope Ulta will offer Petal Pusher and Comfort Zone palettes as well, they are just as great. :]
