Comments about Red Carpet Manicure Color Dip Starter Kit:

I am returning this product. It doesn't have much color. It goes on thick and right next to the cuticles. It is literally like putting on your own acrylic nails. The top coat didn't make it shiny. I'm pretty sure mine has been opened because the top coat detached from the brush. Not a happy customer!!

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure Color Dip Starter Kit:

I don't do nail salons as I've had my share of horrid experiences. A friend told me about dip nail color and how it lasts much longer than gel and is more durable. After doing some research on different products, I found this kit was much cheaper than SNS, and Revel and like the other brands, didnt contain EMA or MMA (which is banned but some salons still use it). I used my 20% coupon and brought it for about $30 (with tax) and i have to say it was money well spent! Much of the technique is like painting your nails. The base coat smells and feels like super glue, so i tried to be careful not to get it on my skin or too close to my nose. The process was still kinda lengthy. It took me about 45 min-1 hr to prep and apply 3 coats to my nails. The directions that come in the kit are simple yet redundant in a sense. It'll take you through steps 1-4, then tell you to repeat steps 2-3 and things like that. However the finished product was HARD, SHINY nails that still looked natural unlike regular acrylics. I wore the kit color "Contract Please" for about a week before removing it (which i didn't need to but wanted to change it up). I wrapped my nails with acetone dipped cotton balls and foil and in about 20 minutes that color was a gummy texture that came off. My nails were still pretty strong. The second application was not as successful as the first. I had some separation of the polish from my free edge and water and dirt had got in between. I had to redo a couple nails so they wouldn't break. In the pics below, I'm wearing "Dazzling Dreamer" and will try to hold out for 21 days to see if it will actually hold out...

Warning!!! It is a very strong odor!!! It burns your eyes and nose! But it works and easy to use. I didn't like the color in the package so I put regular nail polish over. So far so good. You can use tips under the dip powder to add length and strength. The picture provided is 3 days after application.

        My new Go-To

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure Color Dip Starter Kit:

So - I wasn't out looking for this, but saw it while shopping. I rarely do my fingernails, less than twice a year. I love getting a pedi. But, I'm so hard on my hands that I just can't see spending the money on a manicure when it doesn't last. I despise waiting for my nails to dry or I would just do them myself at home, but the work doesn't seem worth it.

I saw this and did a quick google search and decided to give it a try. I'm not great at painting my nails in the first place, so I wasn't sure how this would work out for me. I applied it the first time and the results were "so-so" if I'm to be honest. It wasn't the product, but rather my sloppy application of the product. But - the product held up perfectly even if it didn't look great. After about a week and a half, I decided to remove my first try and give it a second try.

It took a while to get all the product off my nails. If there is a con I would say that is probably it. I did take it off after a relatively short time of it being on so maybe after 2-3 weeks it won't be as difficult. Similar to taking off gel.

My second go around, I knew what I needed to do differently than the first time. I was much more careful about avoiding my nail edges. I was religious in my effort to keep the base coats as thin, and I wasn't as shy or worried about filing the product down after application. The learning curve for me (and I mean I never ever normally do my nails and suck at it) was two applications. My second application came out PERFECTLY!!!! So nice, in fact, that my friends asked about where I had them done. The color that came with the kit is "contract please." It is a very pale neutral color. Great to learn on because I don't think you see the flaws as much, and honestly it could be worn all the time without looking overdone. Simple and elegant. I would totally recommend with this product, but be kind to yourself and allow for a learning curve. Can't wait to try more colors.

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure Color Dip Starter Kit:

I have fragile, thin nails. This is the perfect solution to my nail probs. I will use this product again & again. It did take a long time to remove the product, but was so worth the time. I can never have polished nails because of life. I work, raise 3 boys, constantly putting hands in water. Now my polish stays on for weeks.

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure Color Dip Starter Kit:

I absolutely love this product. Of all the at home "long lasting" nail products I've used this is far and away the best, quickest, and easiest to use. The only thing I dislike about is is that the base and top coats have a very strong odor; however as long as you place the brush back in the bottle while dipping each nail the odor does not become overwhelming.

I was interested in this item because i previously tried SNS and i loved it so i thought why not try something similar but it was a fail the odor is strong it made my eyes water when i was applying it. I watched the video on youtube and followed directions and it came out bumpy which then i had to spend a while filing it down. It started chipping the first week. The only positive is that it made my nail hard so it didn't chip my natural nail.
