This non-irritating, naturally-foaming cleanser is the perfect start to around-the-clock control of breakouts, comedones and excess surface oils. Salicylic Acid sloughs off dead skin cells to clear clogged follicles, helping to prevent future breakout activity. Soothing, naturally-antiseptic extracts of Balm Mint, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Burdock and Camphor calm congested, aggravated skin. Skin is left clean and prepped for optimal absorption of acne control treatment ingredients. Contains no artificial fragrance or color.

How it works:
  • Naturally-foaming cleanser clears away excess oil without stripping skin.
  • Salicylic Acid aids in clearing congested follicles and soothing irritation.
  • An anti-acne blend of botanical extracts including Licorice, Calendula, Milk Thistle, Lemon Peel, Arnica and Bergamot works with Salicylic Acid to help prevent future breakouts.
  • Tea Tree, Burdock, Eucalyptus, Golden Seal and Chamomile help eliminate bacteria.
  • Camphor and Menthol cool inflammation.

We recommend that first-time Dermalogica users visit an authorized skin treatment professional for a client consultation in an ULTA store.

Dermalogica Skin Treatments available at all ULTA locations. Click here for more information.

Havent had cystic acne since I started using this over a year ago!!! I usually take my makeup off with a wipe then wash my face with this every night.
*not the best for blackheads so I use drugstore brand face wash in the mornings for that*

I really enjoy using this in the mornings for a fresh face and at night to remove my makeup. I'm going to start combining it with the pre-cleanse balm like the Ulta esthetician recommended. I definitely noticed an improvement in my acne and no other cleanser I've used has been able to do as much! Would for sure buy again.

I wash my face 2x a day. I used this product as a teen and in my early 20's. Now that my skin is changing, yet again, I went back to using the cleanser and it works just as good as it did back then.

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. If your skin is very sensitive, you should use the Ultracalming Cleanser. It is a gentle cleansing gel/cream for reactive skin. Helps calm and cool the redness and heat associated with reactive, sensitized or overprocessed skin, and easily rinses away or wipes off, making it ideal for sensitized skin.

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. The Clearing Skin Wash is recommended for Breakout- Prone Skin. For Rosacea and dryness we recommend using the Ultracalming Cleanser along with Ultra Calming Mist, and Barrier Repair. The Ultracalming products come in a starter kit too. Redness Relief Primer spf20, and Ultra Sensitive Tint spf30 are other products to consider for concealing and treating redness.

We advise you to use the Overnight Clearing Gel at night to treat break outs and receive professional treatments from your skin therapist at Ulta.

I use the oil matte broad spectrum with SPF after a morning shower, will this help clear oil and combat my adult acne? Im 25 and have been dealing with acne for over 10 years. Have had great results from this brand so I'm willing to spend the money

Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend using Dermal Clay Cleanser. You may also leave this cleanser on your skin for 5-10 minutes as a mini masque to absorb even more oil. We also recommend applying a layer of Breakout Control under Active Moist in problem areas to address breakouts.

Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend that you use our Clear Start line for teen breakouts. The cleanser from that line is called breakout clearing foaming wash.
