Ask a Question
Tarte Clay Stick Foundation is like a nutrition bar for your skin. The full-coverage, powder-to-liquid formula melts into skin while micro-encapsulated powders burst with your body heat to keep you shine and cake-free. This vegan formula features antioxidant vitamins C, and Amazonian clay, a total skin-balancing powerhouse that hydrates or mattifies depending on your skin type. The guilt-free blend also means there are no harsh chemicals like talc, gluten, sulfates, or parabens in your buildable, decadent coverage. Use on-the-go, as a spot concealer, or in lighter or darker shades to highlight and contour - just swipe, blend and #slaywithclay.

For best results, apply with a foundation brush.
  • Twist-up foundation & swipe directly onto skin, concentrating coverage at the center of face to cover redness, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, pores & other imperfections.
  • Blend outward in small circular motions toward the jaw & hairline using the smoothie blender foundation brush.

Tarteist tip: Dot & blend foundation directly over acne, spots or scars to conceal or wear it a few shades lighter or darker as a creamy highlighting & contouring stick.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

I was using the Amazonian Clay foundation when I decided to try the stick, I love it! I've definitely seen really mixed reviews, but my skin is on the oilier side and it works great for me! It stays on for as long as I'm at work I will see it starting to separate a little after work, but 10 hours still isn't too bad for me. The only thing I hate is the price, it's 1/5 the amount of product compared to the Amazonian Clay for the same price.

Creamy...but that's about the only good thing

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

I wanted to love this so much, I wasn't much of a fan of the first clay foundation. This glides onto your skin and blends out ok but it sits in my pores so bad and breaks apart so much. If you layer it by itself or with another foundation it just takes it off...looks horrible a couple hours in. Would not recommend this or buy again.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

I tried this product after my mom bought it and it didn't work for me the way it worked for her. I have combination oily skin and it at first would apply smoothly but would soon after start to separate. Even though the product says oil free it still felt greasy on my t-zone and was difficult to build up because it rubbed off so easily. I tried applying with 3 different brushes and a beauty blender. None worked for me. It didn't work well with concealer either, I use tarte shape tape and it was sliding right after application and when set with powder you can see the seperation on my skin.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

I had been using Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless for a while when I decided to try this. I LOVE the stick application, sooooo much easier than the liquid. I LOVE how it looks once it's blended in. But man it takes a while to blend! I find myself walking around my house, blending and blending and blending! I also feel like you have to use a lot of it and it will run out quickly. You have to set it very well, too, because otherwise it will cake/oxidize. I think it is all worth it, though, because it looks awesome once it's finally blended in. It doesn't wash you out, like other foundations do in pictures or make you look like a ghost. I like this foundation and will probably rebuy. Thanks Tarte!
