Tarte Clay Stick Foundation is like a nutrition bar for your skin. The full-coverage, powder-to-liquid formula melts into skin while micro-encapsulated powders burst with your body heat to keep you shine and cake-free. This vegan formula features antioxidant vitamins C, and Amazonian clay, a total skin-balancing powerhouse that hydrates or mattifies depending on your skin type. The guilt-free blend also means there are no harsh chemicals like talc, gluten, sulfates, or parabens in your buildable, decadent coverage. Use on-the-go, as a spot concealer, or in lighter or darker shades to highlight and contour - just swipe, blend and #slaywithclay.

For best results, apply with a foundation brush.
  • Twist-up foundation & swipe directly onto skin, concentrating coverage at the center of face to cover redness, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, pores & other imperfections.
  • Blend outward in small circular motions toward the jaw & hairline using the smoothie blender foundation brush.

Tarteist tip: Dot & blend foundation directly over acne, spots or scars to conceal or wear it a few shades lighter or darker as a creamy highlighting & contouring stick.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

I love how easy this is to apply. Love the color selection and the finish of it. I find it best to apply with fingers. For the foundation to really sink in to your r skin. The finish is beautiful. Even if I have a dry skin I would still set it with a light hand powder. The only con is it only last a good 4 hours then it slowly disappeared on my face. I would recommend to people on the go. The finish is really pretty.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

This went on great and looked very smooth. It was a little heavier than I usually like, but I had an event and wanted a more full coverage look. After a few hours, it started to look cakey and greasy. It felt really gross and heavy, too. After a couple more hours, it was splotchy, caked up in my creases around my mouth, and my face looked like an oil slick. I tried it a gain the next day using less product. It was hard to blend with less and had the same result. I LOVE Tarte and am loyal to the brand, but this was a no go for me. I returned it. For the event, I used the 12-hour foundation and set it with the airbrush powder foundation for a flawless full-coverage look. It stayed on beautifully all night, was not heavy, and came off much easier.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

The clay foundation is very easy to use. Has good coverage and you don't have to use much product.

Unfortunately, I chose this foundation over Japenasce and I regreted that decision right away. The makeup artist told me these clay foundation sticks have a powder finish (LIES). It stays silky but smeared all over my coat collar. When I unknowingly touched my face, I had foundation all over my clothes by the end of the night (including my pants....not happy). Throughout the day it look very oily.

No matter what brush i use, what primer type, or how much or little I put on, this always looks so streaky and it never blends well. I feel like if you have oily skin this would maybe work for You? I'm combination but it looks awful. The color of the foundation matches well. That's the only thing I like about it:( I love tarte so much but This is a huge no.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

I can never go back to buying liquid foundation now. I've been spoiled. This is the easiest way ever to put on foundation and so much faster! I just draw a couple of quick lines in the main areas, blend with a brush, and voila! Done! Never going back to liquid ever!
I have no irritation to my sensitive skin (though buying quality brands seems to correct this more than buying "sensitive skin" products). It's not full coverage, and can make some of my drier spots noticeable, but only a little. It definitely evens out my skin tone enough where I don't have to use my Bye Bye Redness anymore. Highly recommended.

The associate that assisted me stated it has buildable coverage but it wasn't. It matched my color perfectly but the coverage was poor. It did not blend well with a beauty blender either.

I would like to try out this product, but I'm not which color I should be. I have a pretty fair complexion, with reddish undertones, but sometimes I feel like the Fair Tarte color makes me look too white, whereas the Light color makes me look too orange. I often have to combine two shades to get the right color, such as with your BB primer. Should I purchase the Fair Beige, Fair Neutral, or Fair-Light Neutral of this makeup stick?
