Awful replacement for Mild Clarifying Lotion

      By JenJen

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0:

I have been lucky in the past that when Clinique discontinued a product, I was able to find a replacement that worked better than the first. Not so with this product. It is NOT a replacement for the Mild Clarifying lotion and has nothing in common with it. The old product was soothing for my skin, worked well on combination skin, and was awesome with my very sensitive skin. This product is not good for sensitive skin with all the witch hazel in it, and is also drying. Please bring back the original product. This might be a good replacement for Clarifying Lotion 1, but is not for Mild.

      Filmy

      By DDD

Comments about Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0:

This product does not glide on and disappear. It goes on wet and I feel like I have to blot my face. It also leaves behind a film like sensation I do not like. It does not make my face feel brighter.

      Disgusting

      By km456

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0:

Clinique is insane to get rid of the Mild Clarifying Lotion. The old one had really great ingredients, and it made my skin healthy and glowing. It also absorbed immediately even without alcohol. This replacement is a joke. When I apply it, it leaves a residual film on my skin. The "filmy" feeling stuck around the whole day. It was disgusting. Good job, Clinique! Y'all have some firing to do!

Have been using clinique for many years. Have been very pleased until the MILD lotion was changed. It has witch hazel in it and is very drying t o my skin. I am very disapointed. I will have to look for something new.

Finally a Clinique toner my skin likes!

      By Buttercup324

      from Utah

Comments about Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0:

I see there are a lot of poor reviews on here, but I absolutely love this stuff!! I had tried the other mild toner before but my skin didn't like it, it dried it out very quickly and I had to stop using it. This is the real deal for my very dry and sensitive skin! Been using it for a few weeks now and I don't know what I did without it! Thank you for finally getting it right!! No weird smells, feels fresh and never dries out my skin! I can use it twice a day and know that it is helping my skin's pH balance and also helping my skin absorb the rest of my products better! I don't want to go without it now!

Really like this better than the old clarifying lotion for very dry skin. I have sensitivity to ingredients in many skin care products, but this does not dry my skin or turn it red. Please don't change.

Please bring back mild clarifying lotion!

      By Michelle

      from Michigan

Comments about Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0:

Like many other reviewers, my skin doesn't tolerate this new formula. My skin is dry and very sensitive and this new clarifying lotion causes burning, redness, and breakout for me. The old formula was so soothing and never caused any skin issues for me. Clinique, I implore you...please bring back the mild lotion!!!

I use Mild Clarifying Lotion for Sensitive Skin faithfully but can no longer find this product. Has it been discontinued? Is this 1.0 product now replacing the Mild Clarifying Lotion?

          A:

Hi! I apologize for the trouble. Mild Clarifying Lotion has been discontinued. Clarifying Lotion 1.0 is an alcohol free clarifying lotion that offers mild and gentle exfoliation in a more modern formula. It is great for all skin types and I believe you will enjoy using it as a substitute. Again, I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your loyalty to Clinique!

          A:

Hi! Based on what our Dr's teach us, you should stay away from ingredients like Menthol and possibly Oil as well. You should also wear a sunscreen to protect your skin each day and prevent additional redness. This specific product has not been tested for the treatment of rosacea. If you are looking to treat redness or rosacea, I highly suggest using the Clinique Redness Solutions 3 step system. It is absolutely wonderful! Happy holiday's from Clinique!

Apply this product twice a day with a cotton ball. You should leave it on your skin, as it is a liquid exfoliant.
