        Comments about Clairol Natural Instincts:

I've been using this for years just to cover gray. I use the same color as my natural color just to cover my grays a bit without it growing out in a line at your scalp. I have thick, wavy hair and this also seems to soften my hair and make it a bit more manageable. My hair is dark blond and as I have more grays, I find this is covering them less since the blond really can't deposit as much color on your hair as a darker color. but in past years, I've also experimented with the brunette and red colors. Just be aware that if you use the redder colors and you have light hair, this will definitely amp up the orange quality and it will last a lot longer on lighter hair than dark (I learned this the hard way and ended up with VERY orange hair for a few months).

              Comments about Clairol Natural Instincts:

I have used Clairol Natural Instincts haircolor for a decade. My skin is sensitive. I have had no problems with my scalp and my hair doesn't get damaged & dry with this haircolor. I had a hard time finding this product in stores. PLEASE don't stop carrying it in stores or online. I have tried other brands and permanent haircolor, but I end up with a skin reaction.

              Comments about Clairol Natural Instincts:

I have used this product in light brown (06) for years. I had medium brown hair going gray and this works well for me. It is semi-permanent so it doesn't last like permanent colors, but I like to re-do the color every two weeks to keep it looking nice. I was using half of it twice a month with short hair, but recently grew my hair to shoulder-length and need more to cover it. I like that you can mix half of it, or just a little bit, for touch-ups. I tried it in light caramel brown, but found that that color looked orange as my gray roots grew out. The light brown blends well with my gray and does not look brassy or orange at all. I put it on the top and front of my hair while looking in the mirror, then put the rest on in the shower as it will make a mess of your walls and floors/rugs if you splatter it.
