Comments about Chi Ceramic 1" Hairstyling Iron:

I've had this straightener for 7 years now, I absolutely love it. I have gone to friends houses and used their brand and I swear nothing works better on my hair. It does squeak but again had it for 7 years. I've dropped it god only knows how many times and its work just like I took it out of the box. Can't wait to get my new one and retire the old one!

Comments about Chi Ceramic 1" Hairstyling Iron:

I wish I had noticed before purchasing that the temperature can't be changed. I didn't even think to check that because every straightener I've ever had has been adjustable. This one isn't quite hot enough for my curly, coarse hair. It also doesn't reduce frizz, as it claims to. If you have silky, easy-to-manage hair this might be good for you but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone else.

Comments about Chi Ceramic 1" Hairstyling Iron:

I was given this type of straightener as a gift for Christmas in 2010. Though it may have diminished in quality some, it still does the job I need it to do. It squeaks upon clamping, but that's understandable seeing it's been used for most everyday, dance recitals/competitions, and it's been on many road trip vacations and four flights. It's also been shared between my sister and I for the majority of it's lifespan. It is dusty and the very long cord gets tangled so much and so easily. If I forget to turn it off in the morning, it's still the same temperature I left it 8-12 hours ago and it stays hot. I would get this straightener again and I think I will this Christmas! I'm always bragging how I have this straightener.

Ultra CHI tools feature exactly the same quality and features as original CHI tools. The only difference is that they are available in limited edition colors and patterns. Either would be a great option to style curly, thick, and frizzy hair.
