    Comments about Dermalogica Breakout Control:

I bought this product as a recommendation to go with the Medibec starter kit. Once I added breakout control, I saw better results. I typically get a whitehead weekly but I have not had one since using breakout control. Will keep purchasing!

    great for certain people

    By jaylynn

    Comments about Dermalogica Breakout Control:

this gentle yet effective as long as you are not an extreme acne sufferer- its in the name "breakout control" its for new and more occassional type breakouts, its non drying which is better for some people. i use it on patches that crop up on my chin or forehead (but not usually when my whole face is breaking out) so if you need something more powerful go with overnight clearing gel or special clearing booster

The product itself is great. I have hormonal adult acne and it really helps in reducing the number of blemishes. However, the amount of product you get for such a high price tag is ridiculous. I use it day and night. It only lasted about a month and some change before having to purchase again.

This is a fantastic product. It's the only product I will use on my skin to stop adult acne. I apply it to spots two times a day on clean dry skin under my serums. I also apply it to general areas where Break outs occur. My skin has never looked better.

This product is a great maintenance product of used continuously. It does not over dry me and I still get breakouts but they are shorter and less severe. I still prefer using this with my dermalogica regimens over a product such as acutane or aggressive prescription creams.

              Comments about Dermalogica Breakout Control:

So I bought this after I went through the Dermalogica skin treatment (medibac treatment) because the skin therapist recommended this to me and the special cleansing gel. I've been using both products together for about a week now. a day or two after the treatment and using these products I felt like my skin looked great. but my skin is currently breaking out and these products aren't really doing anything in my opinion. I do really like the cleanser though. The breakout control seems over priced and not very effective. I have sensitive skin so and this doesn't irritate my skin or over dry it at all thought which is nice. I am gonna go to one more skin treatment and continue to use these products in between but if I don't see an improvement soon I'm giving up on this brand lol

                Comments about Dermalogica Breakout Control:

I found this product to be ineffective. I have been using it daily for nearly a month and have not noticed any change in my skin - my face is not clear of acne or blackheads. I have not noticed a reduction in the amount of acne or blackheads that appear either. I have noticed, however, that my forehead is slightly less oily than normal. This product is insanely overpriced given the amount in the bottle and considering it does not perform as promoted. To me, it's seemingly a glorified mattifier, and not a very good one at that.

As part of my morning regimen I use a vitamin C serum after cleansing and toning, and then I use a mattifier and then follow up with BB cream that contains spf...where would I insert this product? I was thinking it would be the first thing I apply to my face after toning, or should I apply after my vitamin C serum and before the mattifier and BB cream? Thank you!

We recommend using this product last and spot treating directly on your breakout. If you apply it first it will be rubbed off of the spot where it was applied.

Thank you for your inquiry. Breakout Control should go on late so you do not smear it off the breakouts. Apply your other products and then apply Breakout Control to the actually breakouts.

Thank you for your inquiry. In addition to Breakout Control it is important to use a full regimen to target breakouts. Daily Microfoliant and Charcoal Rescue Masque 2-3 times. This should significantly reduce breakouts.

Thank you for your inquiry. Breakout Control is an antibacterial spot treat that should only be applied to areas with active breakouts. Oil Control Lotion is a light weight, oil controlling lotion that can be used over the entire face morning and night.

Hi I'm wondering about the packaging this product comes in. When you open it is the gray lid supposed to be attached to the gray circle plastic ring below the lid? Because when I opened up my product the cap and ring were already separated ask if it had been opened already. Also I would like to know the difference between this and the skin clearing booster?

                    Hello Erica,
Thank you for your inquiry. The grey ring is supposed to be attached to the lid before it is opened. The main difference between this and Special Clearing Booster is the active ingredient. Special Clearing Booster has Benzoyl Peroxide as it's active ingredient, Breakout Control has Colloidal Silver which is better suited for sensitive skin.

I currently use the cleanser, oil control lotion and the mattifier in the AM and same order minus the mattifier in the PM.

                    Hello Dana,

Breakout Control is a treatment product for acne that contains colloidal silver to kill bacteria and should be applied directly to problem area under moisturizer. If you are using Clearing Mattifier as well. layer Clearing Mattifier, Breakout Control and then your moisturizer. You may spot treat with Breakout Control as needed throughout the day.
