Comments about Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50 Tinted Face Lotion:

I love this sunscreen! My holy grail, go-to SPF. It goes on smooth, blends in natural looking (no white pasty look like with most suncreens) and dries to a semi matte finish. Stayed on for 2 hours of swimming, but came off completely with my face cleanser. Normally sunscreen breaks me out...but I experienced no breakouts with this product.

Comments about Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50 Tinted Face Lotion:

I've tried many sunscreens for the face, and I've found few apply well without a white-cast, and even less apply well under makeup. This sunscreen is the perfect product.

The tint, although intimidating when it comes out of the tube (I'm quite pale), evens out the tone of the face slightly, but the main purpose seems to be preventing white-cast. It's perfect for the beach or no makeup days, adding a slight evenness to the face with SPF50 protection.

Most of the time, I've found that sunscreens applied under my makeup create weird patchy spots in my foundation or strange white-cast effects in photos. This sunscreen does neither, and I've been able to apply it with multiple foundations (powder, liquid, matte, dewy) without any of those issues.

      Perfect product.

I am very fair and use Retin-A so sunscreen is a must. This applies well and I am able to reapply over my makeup as needed without turning me white. First time I have found a sunscreen to use year-round but I think this is it. I will never be without it!

Comments about Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50 Tinted Face Lotion:

I like that this mineral sunscreen is tinted and goes on easily; my problem is that it feels rather heavy on my face. I have found that by combining this in a 50/50 mix with Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer sunscreen takes care of that problem. Wearing the Neutrogena by itself I get a very shiny finish, but by combining the two it comes out just right, since this sunscreen has a very matte finish. For someone with oily skin needing a matte sunscreen, this may work for you. Just be aware that it may feel heavy on your face as it did on mine. If so, you can try mixing it with another sunscreen like I did to get the finish you want.
By itself, this sunscreen does wear well and does not look obvious on the skin. It is a nice sunscreen for those who are not bothered by the way it feels on the face.

Sorry but this is a big miss for me. Had high hopes because of all the great reviews. I had to use an oil cleanser 2-3 times just to remove all the silicones. Because removing became such a task I started developing acne in every place I applied the product including my chest! I am a mature woman and I dont EVER get acne... especially on my chest! Returned

Comments about Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50 Tinted Face Lotion:

This tinted sunscreen is perfect for what I want to wear on a daily basis. Very few things I put on my skin don't clog my pores/break me out. But if I leave my skin alone, it's pretty good, so mostly, I've worn nothing in the way of foundation. However, I'm getting older and starting to obsess about wrinkles. I've started using Retin-A and I had to get a sunscreen. This tinted sunscreen makes my skin look smooth and even and I'm not getting the hyperpigmentation I usually get in the summer. I don't feel like it's clogging my pores. The one small downside is that I think it's a little difficult to blend powder like bronzer and blush on top of it because of the sticky consistency, but I've gotten used to it and I just use less blush and bronzer. I'm still torn about whether it's good or bad for use in the under-eye area because the stiff consistency does effect how my concealers apply. But overall, it's a big win. Affordable, good stand in for a BB or CC cream, non greasy, natural sunscreen. It does make my skin look a little lighter and I'm not sure how that would work out for darker skin tones.

Comments about Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50 Tinted Face Lotion:

This is just okay for me. I was excited about the idea of it, but I wish I would've looked at the ingredients more carefully before I purchased it as the percentage of zinc and titanium is only around 3% which means you'd need to slather on a good deal of this to get the full spf 50 protection. And I definitely would not want to use a ton of it as the more you use the more it feels thick and greasy. But the smell is really the worst part. It's not that it necessarily smells bad, but it just never goes away and will linger until you wash your face. Plus the tint transfers SO easily and gets all over everything. Idk... guess I'll continue hunting for my holy grail mineral sunscreen. Sadly this one aint it.
