BLU Turbo Ionic Dryer

Item #: 2305023

The BLU Turbo Ionic Dryer is a breakthrough in hair dryer technology that dries hair up to 2X faster and retains moisture for smooth, healthy, shiny hair. The efficient High-Power DC Motor and Turbine Fan design are uniquely combined to deliver the lightest and most powerful dryer. Unlike conventional dryers with 2 speed settings, the BLU Turbo Ionic Dryer's Infinity Dial allows you to control and customize the airflow to meet your personal drying and styling needs, while the Ionic Generator bathes hair with soothing ions to produce smooth, frizz-free hair.

Extreme Power: The BLU Turbo Ionic Dryer's high power DC Motor, producing more power than a 2000W dryer, and Jet Turbine Fan combine to create an unparalleled efficient design that delivers an ultra lightweight dryer with extremely powerful high speed airflow that helps dry hair faster.

Ultra Lightweight: The BLU Turbo Ionic Dryer's ultra lightweight and ergonomic design makes drying and styling your hair comfortable and easy.

Turbo Ionic: The BLU Turbo Ionic Dryer is the only dryer in existence that allows you to select the level of negative ions for your hair type to maximize frizz reduction for smooth, shiny hair.

Key Features:
  • Ultra Lightweight (13.5 oz.)
  • High Power Motor
  • High Compression Turbine Fan
  • Turbo Ionic Switch
  • Infinity Airflow Dial
  • Tourmaline Ceramic Technology
  • 2 Heat Settings
  • Cool Shot
  • 9' Power Cord
  • Accessories Included: Concentrator and Diffuser

Towel dry your hair to absorb as much moisture as possible. When you're ready to start drying, set the heat to low and begin by rough drying your hair to remove excess water. With the Infinity Airflow Dial turned all the way up, and the Turbo Ionic Switch set to low, run the dryer over your head using your hands to lift the hair at the roots. When your hair is about three-quarters dry, turn the heat setting to high and turn down the airflow for precision control while turning up the negative ions to turbo to seal the cuticle for a frizz-free, long lasting style.

For full volume, bouncy curls and waves, utilize the concentrator and point the dryer at a 45-degree angle from beneath the hair shaft, infusing each section with extra body. To achieve a smooth and sleek straight style, point the dryer downward from above the hair and be sure to maintain tension with your brush. Section your hair and begin at the nape of your neck, working down from the root, to mid-shaft, to the ends. Work around your head in small, manageable sections until your hair is completely dry. When you¿ve achieved your desired style, press the cool shot to lock in your look.

For all natural curls, attach the diffuser and set both the heat setting and Infinity Airflow Dial to low. Begin by tilting your head to the side and placing the diffuser near your roots. Move the dryer around your head in circular motions while scrunching the hair in your hand and allowing the diffuser's prongs to gently massage the curls. Continue until tousled, natural-looking waves are completely dry, then shake out hair and fluff the roots. Lock in the style with the cool shot.

Comments about InStyler BLU Turbo Ionic Dryer:

Oh man, I will give some background first: I have fine, thin, frizzy (probably bc I live in Florida), naturally curly, blonde highlighted hair (I am a natural blonde also). I was able to achieve a good color while using box dye for a while but apparently that was "killing" my hair. Lots of damage (I know, I know... I have learned my lesson). I started noticing that my hair was always dry and breaking and just looked sad so I started evaluating products, went back to a stylist, and decided to upgrade my styling tools. I straighten my hair A LOT so I know that is a huge factor but I figured blow drying has to be done right also.

After reading all of these GREAT reviews I decided to get this blow dryer. I was previously using the Conair Infinity Pro (also sold at Ulta). I have been using the dryer since Christmas 2016 and I have to admit that... I'm not impressed. I usually try to be excited and optimistic about things so please don't think I'm just a negative person who leaves bad reviews all over the internet ;) Yes, my hair dries quickly but that's bc it's fine and thin lol All of these people who had their drying time "cut in half"? The only thing I can wonder is if the dryer they had before sucked (sorry) lol Anyhow, to make a long story short, this dryer has not changed my life, nor my hair, like I had hoped. It's still just as frizzy as when I was using the Conair Infinity Pro ($30 my friends). It dries my hair in about the same length of time and the weight is not noticeably that much better. Don't get me wrong, it does its job but if you are on a budget, see my previous reference, as it is only marginally (that's a stretch) better ;) Good luck!

This hairdryer takes 10 minutes more to dry my hair than the last one I had. Not to mention it was $70 more than the other one. Guess more expensive isn't always better

When my trusty Hot Tools dryer stopped working I went about searching for a new dryer that wasn't terribly heavy or loud and came with a diffuser. I thought this might work but sadly it's so loud I'm returning it and going back to Hot Tools. If you don't care about loudness it was a good dryer.

Comments about InStyler BLU Turbo Ionic Dryer:

This dryer is awesome! I have baby fine curly hair that is about shoulder length. I color my hair regularly at a salon so there is some damage. My hair usually gets a bit on the frizzy side when I use a hair dryer to straighten it because of damage and well fine hair plus naturally curly. I have a variety of high end products and hairbrushes that I use as well as clips.I have used the Sexy Hair hairdryer and a few different CHI models previously. I always section off my hair and dry it in sections with the proper brush using a prep spray, oil and styling cream. So the only tool that has changed is the hairdryer. That being said...this is the best one I've used.

First off...all hairdryers make some sound. This hairdryer has a super powerful motor in it so OF COURSE it will MAKE SOUND. Second, anything with ions will have a scent to it. ALSO there is LESS HEAT with this dryer so LESS DAMAGE but you still are drying your hair. RE: Dropping hair dryer...I had the same problem with every hairdryer I've owned CHI, Sexy Hair and ones I owned previously. Definitely be careful with all tools whether hairdryers, flat irons, curling irons, etc...they are all fragile (and contact the company itself if there is an issue, they might be able to help you).

I had half the frizz that I have using other hairdryers. My hair dried in half the time. My arm wasn't tired after drying my hair and I was able to hold my hairdryer in more positions since it was lighter and easier to maneuver. Overall..I am extremely pleased with the hairdryer. I was able to dry my hair with the nozzle extremely close without scorching my hair.

On the construction...it is a bit tricky to get the air concentrator (the attachment thingy that isn't a diffuser) on initially, but it stayed on unlike my old hairdryer.

It DOES look like there are three settings at the top of the hairdryer for low, high, ion. So perhaps you can turn the "ion" part off. That smell is ozone I believe

I have frizzy hair and was hoping this would would help after reading reviews. Even after a keratin blowout treatment my hair was left frizzy using this product. I went back to my old chi and half the frizz! Will be returning for another product. May be good for normal hair but not mine!

Even though my previous dryer was ceramic tourmaline this one is way better. Dries my hair faster, more evenly, and my fine thin hair is shinier and sleeker when I'm done.
