Comments about Clinique BIY Blend it Yourself Pigment Drops:

You're supposed to mix this into a moisturizer but I like using this on its own. I dab this on with my finger and blend it out either with finger or with a brush. The finish is natural and feels very good on the skin. I always set with a powder since my skin tends to get shiny. Lastly I put on some setting spray so it doesn't look too dry. It doesn't take a lot of product to get a good coverage and this is definitely buildable. However it builds up in thin layers so it won't feel heavy on the skin.

Comments about Clinique BIY Blend it Yourself Pigment Drops:

I have mixed it with favorite sunscreens, which generally have a whitish cast ( zinc/titanium oxide or chemical screens). This counteracts the washed out look. I like that I can control the color intensity - generally 2 drops suffices for a natural look. I am going to get a second bottle of a slightly different shade to be able to get the blend just where I want it.

I am older, by which I mean 70, and find that I am better wearing transparent tints even if spots show through because heavier coverage products DO make any lines look worse. I have wasted money on both inexpensive and pricey foundations which - if you look at them in daylight - look heavy, and aging.
This way I get the weight and the color I want.

No tinted moisturizer/sunscreens have ever matched my skin before. And that is probably the key - getting the right color (best done in store).

Comments about Clinique BIY Blend it Yourself Pigment Drops:

I tried this out thinking it would streamline my morning routine a bit if I could just add foundation to my moisturizer. I use the clinique 3 step and added two drops to my dramatically different moisturizing gel and it did absorb quickly and didn't feel greasy which was great. However it didn't even cover a freckle or even out any redness at all. Barely a tinted moisturizer. The next morning I tried 3 drops. No real coverage. Today I tried 4 even though it's not really recommended anywhere, still no real coverage and it was a little greasy. I don't usually wear heavy foundation at all, in fact I barely wear makeup (no contouring or even blush) but this wasn't even enough for me to really get a nice even complexion. Not worth it at all for me. The only benefit is that it didn't sink into flaws or look cakey or anything.

Comments about Clinique BIY Blend it Yourself Pigment Drops:

I purchased Clinique's "Beyond Perfecting" foundation & concealer (7 cream-chamois) on-line. It was darker than it looked on-line. I took it to my store and talked to a Clinique beauty consultant. She showed me how to mix it with this BIY (1-5) and put a small spot of it on my cheek. It looked OK there BUT when I put it all over my face MY FACE TURNED ORANGE!

              Service and delivery comments:

I purchased this product at a store. The Clinique beauty consultant was very courteous, caring and helpful.

Comments about Clinique BIY Blend it Yourself Pigment Drops:

The sales gal recommended this to add to my current concealer instead of buying another color for summer, said it was super easy to just mix the 2 on the back of your hand and then apply. I mixed it on my hand, the color did not mix the same as she showed me on a Kleenex in the store so the match to my skin was off but then I couldn't get it to wash off of my hand, it was stick in the fine lines after several soap washes and I had to just let it wear off through the day. I tried a drop in basic moisturizer (like the box/bottle suggests) and the coverage was perfect if I liked wearing full coverage makeup, which is specifically what I'd said I didn't want and needed just spot coverage. I had just enough time to return it but now have to go back or to another store to try to find the right color.

I have normal, mature skin. I'm not a fan of foundation, but yet any of the tinted moisturizers I've tried look good at the start of the day but by midday the "coverage" is gone. If I were to use three drops of the BIY with a non-tinted moisturizer, would I be able to get a coverage that is more than what I'm getting now but not look like foundation? Thanks.

Hi! I believe it sounds like BIY is the type of coverage you are looking for. If you want more coverage, you can add more than 3 drops. It is easy to customize, and many people enjoy it. One tip that may help is to guarantee that you are exfoliating daily. You may want to try Clinique's Clarifying Lotion twice a day to sweep away dead skin cells that can cause your makeup to fade during the day. If you would like to try BIY, we would love to invite you to the Ulta store nearest you that carries a FULL line of Clinique product. We can color match and even send you home with a sample if you would like to try it at home. Thank you for your question and have a great week!

Hi! It was designed to be used with moisturizer, as moisturizers do not contain pigment. These drops are pure pigment, so if you add it to your foundation it will change the pigment level of your foundation. It will not hurt to try this, but wanted to make you aware, as it will change the consistency a bit. Thank you for your question and have a great week!

Hi! Depending on the depth of color you are looking for, you may want to start with shades like 120, 130 or 135. 145 would be the next shade up for someone with a medium skin tone. Thank you for your question and have a great week!
