This product smells horrible . Like Brutt products for men , dried my hair out , flat dull - fly away. So glad I only purchased a sample.

      Love

Comments about Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Recover Shampoo:

Definitely needs to be used as a set! I tried the sample I received from Ulta and was wowed but due to the price only bought the conditioner. Even though the shampoo can be scary (but smells great) the conditioner worked better if you used the complimenting shampoo. I don't use more of the shampoo (even though It seems watery) I just concentrate on my roots as this is where the oil and dirt is anyway. I never shampoo more often than every two days. There is just something in the way the 2 products work together. LOVE

This has the worst consistency I have ever experienced - runny as water. I hate the smell as well. Not worth your money - even when it's on super sale. Stay clear.

This shampoo smells wonderful, but it's hard to get it to lather throughout your hair. I have very thin and fragile hair and as I lather I am pulling strands of my hair out. Otherwise great product!

This is so runny, and doesn't lather at all. My hair just didn't feel clean at all. Had to return it.

Comments about Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Recover Shampoo:

I have fine, curly hair that I have had a few Keratin treatments to. I wanted to try this because it is sulfate free. It almost has a watery consistency when it comes out of the bottle. When you put it in your hair, it's almost like honey, sticky with a low lather. Once it's rinsed out, it leaves your hair clean, but dry feeling. The conditioner is definitely needed. I cant really say it fights frizz cause my Keratin treatments do the same. Overall, not a bad line to try but I'll stick to the travel size duo cause it's pretty pricey and the shampoo isn't my favorite.

Comments about Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Recover Shampoo:

The conditioner for this line is unbeatable. This shampoo however is a hot mess. Your hair feels like you just stripped every ounce of moisture out of it. It's very hard to get a lather. Don't use it's a trap. Your hair will feel awful!

Scariest ten minutes of my life

Comments about Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Recover Shampoo:

I got this as a sample from an Ulta order. It's a Sunday morning and spotted it on my shelf so I decided to try it. I didn't even read the packets. My hair is colored, tired, heat abused and prone to frizz. At this stage silicones have become my friends. Hopped in the shower and wet my hair as usual. Poured the shampoo into my hair and was freaked out when I could barely work it through my hair. It lathered amazingly well despite the fact my hair felt gummy and like I dumped honey all over my head. I was petrified and immediately thought omg it's going to take a week at least to recover from this mistake. I attempted to shampoo as usual. Then rinsed. It rinsed nicely and my hair SQUEAKED like crazy. I figured it must be a clarifying shampoo and I was looking at two weeks of taming my tresses. On to the conditioner...

Squeezed out every single drop of the conditioner from the packet. I was in panic mode. It didn't seem.to be enough for my just past shoulders hair and what the heck was I going to do? But I worked it through the best I could. I figured I'd finish my shower, let it sit the entire time and rinse hoping for the best.

It rinsed as nicely as the shampoo. Wrapped my hair in my turbie and did my makeup and got dressed. Grabbed my detailing comb and went in. To my surprise it went through without incident. No tangles. My hair felt simply amazing. I had opted to skip my leave in spray and it still combed out easily! Now to dry my hair...I added a little argon oil to my ends. Two spritzes of my leave in conditioner for protection. Rough dried and followed with my giant round brush. My hair looks and feels amazing. AMAZING.

My flat iron is plugged in and I haven't reached for it yet. I'll likely turn down the heat and go for smoothing instead of getting out the wonky waves because I barely have any today. That has to be a first for me in years. And the softness of my hair...I can't put it into words. Its my own hair, soft to the touch and little product.

Is this shampoo/conditioner set color-safe? I color my hair frequently and don't want to increase fading.
