Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I should have known by the reviews. After literally 3 curls I got an error message. Shut offf tried again error again. I had half of my hair curled when I finally gave up. I'm returning this piece of junk. Incidentally, I also bought a $15 REvelon the same day in case this one didn't work out. I opened that one and it worked and the curls actually looked better. What a joke. Don't buy this thing. Read the reviews.

Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I have long thick hair and was excited to try this product. Typically when I curl my hair, curls will hold throughout the week. When I initially curled my hair with this product, INITIALLY I loved it. It looked beautiful. But after one night, those curls are gone. If you are looking for a product that will hold your curls for multiple days, do not purchase this product. If you are looking for something to last you the night and creates beachy waves, this is a great product if you're OK with spending this much money for something you'd have to do everyday if you wanted that look everyday.

Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I'm growing out my short bob and have been looking for a new way to wear my very fine, straight hair.
I've tried several sizes in curling irons and wands, hot rollers and a flat iron. Wasn't loving any of them. I decided to give the Beachwaver a try and I love it!
I still have pretty short hair and I'm using the 1.25. It gives me a nice WAVE, not curl, in a very short period of time.
There are tutorials on You Tube that demonstrate how to use it. I can't believe how simple it is and how effective. Worth the $$.
I'm so happy I took a chance and purchased it!

Very disappointed, purchased end of July and January got the Er2 code and it never resolved. Contacted ulta, but they could not resolve/help due to 60 days. For the cost of this iron, this should never happen. I have had other curling irons last YEARS. I used it about 2x per week, if that. Such a disappointed customer. Will never purchase this brand again.

Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I went to Ulta and wanted help figuring out how to properly get some wave into my hair. I recently cut it from just longer than my breasts to shoulder length and curling it is tricky for me. I am not very great at curling it with a regular curling iron so I always have to use curling wands- which take so much time! I was super excited when the sales girl at Ulta introduced me to this product. She said I will LOVE it. She spent a ton of time with me explaining how to use it. She pulled up their Instagram page and showed me tutorials. She advised me to purchase a styling cream to work through my hair after using this product, and then advised me to spray a hair brush or my own hands with hairspray and work that through as well. So she did a GREAT job helping me out. HOWEVER I have now tried it twice. It doesnt curl my hair. It doesn't wave my hair. It did nothing. I don't get it. The method for use isn't exactly rocket science. I know I'm using it right. I tried EVERYTHING. I first tried what all their tutorial videos say and I only held it on my hair for 3 seconds. I just got flat straight hair. Then I held it for 10 seconds. Ehhh. It was a wee bit better. I then tried for 20 seconds (which is how long I hold my hair around a curling wand). That got the best results, but still I wouldn't call it WAVE exactly. More like it looked like I just woke up and needed to brush through my hair. And not in a sexy Victoria's Secret kind of way. More in a hung over, mascara running down my face kind of way. I tried no products on my hair and then curling it- that failed. I tried hitting my hair with hairspray first. That failed too. I tried playing with the heat settings but that didn't seem to make a difference either. Maybe my hair is too short (shoulder length) for the 1.25 inch barrel? I wanted to LOVE this product. I LOVE the concept. It is far easier than a curling iron technique-wise and time-wise it SHOULD be easier than a wand. Maybe I'll exchange mine for the smaller!

The Beachwaver S1.25 has a clamp that you place the bottom of you hair into, then press the right or left arrow, and the iron automatically rotates the hair perfectly around the barrel. This iron is a time saver that provides easy, quality waves in minutes!

The Beachwaver S1.25 has a clamp that holds the end of your hair as you rotate the iron and will not damage the ends of your hair. For our signature beachy wave look, we recommend leaving an inch or two of your hair out.

I would like to purchase a beach waver but not sure if I should buy the S1 or the S1.25. My hair comes down about 2 inches off my shoulder. I am looking for beach curls that aren't really tight. What one would work best?

                A:

The Beachwaver® S1 is great for all hair types and is recommended for your hair length or longer. This iron would give you those beachy waves™ you are looking for! The Beachwaver® S1.25 is also great for all hair types, but is recommended for shoulder length hair or longer. Pro tip: let curls cool completely before styling. Spray flexible hold hairspray directly onto a nylon-boar bristle brush. Brush through the curls for a softer look or simply run your fingers through your hair for a beachy look.

                A:

The Beachwaver® S 1.25 is recommended for hair shoulder length or longer. The Beachwaver® S.75 is recommended for shorter hair. This is the smallest barrel which will ensure your hair gets full rotation around the barrel, giving you those beachy waves you desire. If you have a longer bob, the Beachwaver® S1 could also be an option, giving you the same beachy wave results.
