Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I love how easy it is to use this product and it makes the prettiest wavy curls. The only thing that annoys me is that i literally used it 3 times before an ER4 code popped up and it would not do anything. I turned it off and back on and it seems to be working fine. But still frustrating. After spending that much, you wouldn't think you'd be getting errors after only a few uses.

After reading reviews I thought this was perfect for my medium length hair. Well the first time I plugged it in I got the error message for low temp after 2 curls. You have to unplug it, wait and then plug it back in. Got one more curl out of it before the error message went off again. No thanks- for the money I paid it should not have this issue. Returning immediately.

Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

If you are debating between the S models vs the Pro, READ THIS. I owned both. Full disclosure, I am a non-professional with wavy/frizzy thin hair and small hands. I tell you this because it would take me 30 min or more to get the beach wave look with a hair dryer and regular curling iron. With this tool, my total workload is about 10 minutes, 15 tops. I owned the 1.25 S first and these are the best pros - works well if you have smaller hands (will explain this in depth with comparison), home button allows the iron to twirl back to the center (the Pro does not have this - it is a life saver when you are putting the tool back down so it steadies it on the counter), only one button with arrows allows you to easily decide which way to turn the iron, it heats up fast and is comfortable to hold. You achieve beautiful curl that can last days. For anyone that says it is a waste of money, they must have hair that can curl. Mine falls out without using beach spray. This tool has CHANGED MY LIFE! The Pro 1.25 I owned as well. (Bought on sale and liked the look of it being white with crystals.) I would not recommend this tool to anyone unless you are a professional. The rod are is way too long, it was awkward - especially if you do not have very long hair (mine is 3 inches past my shoulder, but being thin, the longer rod was not helpful). The Pro heats up FAST which in turn burned me a few times because it can heat up more than 390 AND it is possible to twirl too much with this iron. How? The 3 button mechanism for the Pro is confusing as H#LL. I always had to think "my right or the right of the iron?" Since the clamp and the buttons had more space between the ergonomic portion on this model, I constantly would "accidentally" press one of the twirling buttons with the palm of my hand - making the wand twirl to my scalp and burn me. It never happened with the S model because the palm doesn't go over the button area due to it being a shorter handle. Buy the S!

Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I did not like this product. It's good in theory but it has a mind of its own. If you put your hair in it and press the button to rotate it eventually it will rotate on it's own. I think it wants to go back to the home position but that resulted in it rotating close to my head and burning my scalp bc I couldn't release it quick enough. It shouldn't rotate on its own especially if you want to leave the curling iron in one place bc your hair needs a little more time. It also gives you the same look as a regular curling iron but a regular curling iron won't rotate on its own and burn you. Just wasn't worth the money.

I have medium length thick wavy hair and can curl my entire head in about 15 min or less with this! Love the look it gives every time I use it! Heats up super fast and requires very little time for hair to be on the barrel for it to make a great curl. I also own the 1 inch beachwaver and definitely prefer the 1.25 for longer hair

I was hesitant on buying this product because of some of the reviews. But everyone's experience is different so I decided to give it a try...now I'm suffering the consequences. After one use, this curler damaged my ends and I tried being more cautious...it only got worse. I had a disgusting burnt smell in my hair that would NOT wash out. It was so pungent, I could smell it in the shower. This curler damaged my hair all over...not just my ends. I have breakage all around my hair, how am I supposed to fix that? Shave my entire head? I didn't switch my hair products, I take very good care of my hair and always use heat protectant spray and serum. I took pride in my healthy hair and this hair curler took that away from me. I'm beyond furious, I returned the product after just two weeks. In the image you can see the breakage on my hair...it is beyond embarrassing and it's all over my hair.

When it works it works great. However sometimes it displays an error message, basically the heating isn't correct and it beeps very loud and refuses to work. You have to unplug it and pray it decides to work again. I did purchase it a few years ago but it had this problem within a few months. Maybe they have figured it out and fixed it with newer irons.

OMG! This curling gives you Victoria Secret hair. I have long hair and I wanted a little bit of a curl to my hair and this iron did it. After I was done curling (only took 20 minutes compared to 40 minutes), I applied a little bit of dry shampoo and hairspray to set my curls. I then separated my curls using my fingers and wow, I got my Victoria Secret hair.

I read tons of reviews, no brainier that the Beachwaver is a must have. i waited until I had a coupon to buy, because it's more than I normally would spend on an item. Although I wish it was less expensive, it is worth every penny. The first one I brought kept turning off, I went back to Ulta and exchanged for a new one.

The Beachwaver gives such sexy beautiful waves, and holds the curl. I have thick long hair and usually the wave falls out. The Beachwaver keeps the curl all day.

Both the Beachwaver S1 and Beachwaver Pro barrels are made of materials that will protect your hair from damage. We always recommend using a heat protectant spray prior to any heat styling. The Beachwaver S1 is made of protective ceramic and the Beachwaver Pro is made of protective ceramic tourmaline infused with gold powder. The gold powder helps distribute the heat evenly and the actual barrel itself is an inch longer than the S1.

I do love the curls and the ease of use, but am looking for something more wavy.

The Beachwaver S1.25 has a clamp that holds the end of your hair as you rotate the iron and will not damage the ends of your hair. For our signature beachy wave look, we recommend leaving an inch or two of your hair out.

I would like to purchase a beach waver but not sure if I should buy the S1 or the S1.25. My hair comes down about 2 inches off my shoulder. I am looking for beach curls that aren't really tight. What one would work best?

The Beachwaver® S1 is great for all hair types and is recommended for your hair length or longer. This iron would give you those beachy waves™ you are looking for! The Beachwaver® S1.25 is also great for all hair types, but is recommended for shoulder length hair or longer. Pro tip: let curls cool completely before styling. Spray flexible hold hairspray directly onto a nylon-boar bristle brush. Brush through the curls for a softer look or simply run your fingers through your hair for a beachy look.
