I have only used this once, so need to try it some more. I think I used too much, because hair felt heavy by end of day. I have fine, oily hair that won't do much.

OK to volumize only but scent is a deal breaker

Comments about John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Salt Spray:

I have decently wavy hair and bought this to enhance the waves slightly and to give some control to the waves. However, it had no effect on my waves overall, but merely added volume to my hair generally. If someone only wants more volume and texture and doesn't care about waves, this product might be great for them. But the smell was also a large problem for me....It was just downright unpleasant and super strong! I couldn't stand my hair smelling like that! Otherwise I might have kept this product just for volumizing. :(

I use this while my hair is dry to give my hair more volume and texture. I love it, it smells good and creates this "careless, carefree" awesome look! My hair is also super straight and fine and does it's job. However it does feel a bit greasy, but not to the point were I look dirty. I find that it works much better on dry hair, not so much damp for me.

It has an odd smell while wet. Didn't feel like it did anything to my hair. The Not Your Mother's sea salt spray is better and cheaper.

Usually I'll wake up and my hair will be curly in some spots and flat in others, and I just use a few spritz of this and it completely evens it out and makes it all beach wavy

This product is great BUT if you have straight hair I had to put it on when my hair was wet for it to work AND I put it in a bun while I slept and reapplied in the morning. However when I did it worked great. On just dry straight hair it lasted me about 0.2 seconds and my hair was straight and flat.

Comments about John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Salt Spray:

So...I have only used it once. It does smell nice and it does give me beachy waves. It isn't heavy nor is it greasy. Obviously it is a sea salt spray so no matter what it will dry your hair out if you over-do it. I only used a little bit and it wasn't so dry I was disgusted. But if you think a sea salt spray isn't going to dry your hair out then you are in denial.

My hair is more of a loose wave and it really made my hair a little more poofy for my liking and I felt as if it amplified my frizz a bit (but could also be due to scrunching it). I will continue to use this and try it different ways.

The next day I did heat style my hair and my hair was pretty soft so it didn't seem to build up residue at all it actually made my curls a little more loose which i prefer.

Comments about John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Salt Spray:

I love the product and I have used a LOT of sea salt sprays. I don't need a lot of oils and glad that this sea salt spray wasn't loaded with them. Never understood adding oils to sea salt sprays since usually oils will take away the body that the sea salt will give your hair. I don't like that the sprayer got clogged the second time I used it and I had to either return it, which I didn't, OR switch it to another spray bottle. I did that since it worked so well. I gave it only 4 stars since I love it but hate that the sprayer on the bottle doesn't work.
